Commands

/inv, /(my)phones

Allows you to see all the phones currently in your inventory and their associated numbers.

/setmainphone [number], /mainphone [number]

Allows you to set your 'main phone' - this is the phone from which all phone-based commands will come from, similarly to the radio frequencies.

 

/missedcalls (/mcs, /mynotifications, /phonenotifs, /pnotifs, /voicemail)

Displays all the currently outstanding voicemails or texts that the player is yet to receive.

 

/applycustomnumber

Applies your custom phone number on a phone

 

/cancelcontract (number)

Cancels a contract that you previously purchased

Information

Phones will be available in phone stores, and you are now able to buy multiple phones. Each phone has a different number, meaning they can be used for a range of things! PAYG phones or contract phones will be available, both with different pricing / fees.

Each phone has its own contact list and phone number - meaning they can be used for a variety of things and then thrown away or passed on afterwards.

 

For example, you can purchase a new phone for a drug deal and then throw it.

Phones are able to be passed between players and the numbers stay with the phone - you could pre-program your number into a range of burner phones for your gang, or even use the phones to frame people.

 

All commands such as /call, /sms, /addcontact will be performed on the phone which is designated as your 'main phone'. This is to avoid confusion with multiple commands.

 

Also, phones are no longer automatically associated with names meaning PD or other Government agencies will have to use intelligence from various sources and keep their records up to date. Only contracts will be associated to your name.

 

All phones are active at the same time as long as they're ON and in your inventory. The main phone is the one used for commands (/call, /sms ...)

 

Phone stores

 

You may now become the proud owner or employee of a phone store and help players choosing the best phone or contract for their needs!

PAYG Phones / Contract phones

 

  • A contract phone will have your name bound to the phone contract and you'll have the ability to manage your active contracts. You can cancel a contract with /cancelcontract.
  • A PAYG "Pay as you go" phone has no contract bound to it, and thus your name isn't linked to your phone number. However you'll pay everytime you need to send a message or make a call. If the phone is stolen, the thief will be able permanently access your phone and number

 

Missed Calls & Text Persistence

 

  • Need to send someone a text but they're offline or their phone is off? Not to worry - it'll still send and that player will receive the text next time they check their messages.
  • Likewise, need to ring someone but can't get through? Leave a voicemail - a single line of text that the player will receive when they next turn their phone on or check their voicemails.

 

What about my current/custom phone number?

 

  • Your current phone number will always remain yours, same for custom phone numbers. You can use /applycustomnumber on your main phone to apply it again.
