Right now, in the UCP you can check every text message that's ever been sent by or to you on the UCP, in the 'character details' tab. However, this feels like a weird place to put your phone messages when there's a tab labelled 'phone contacts', and trying to look through messages is a bit of a pain as it only shows the sender and recipient's number, not the nicknames you've given them. Which brings me to my suggestion; remove the 'character details' tab entirely, and move the text messages to the 'phone contacts' page. Also, in the phone contacts tab, add a 'message history' button to every contact, so that we can quickly and easily filter messages based on contact. To allow us to view message conversations from numbers we've never saved, simply add them to a new list of 'unnamed contacts'.

As a person who has some sort of eye problems IRL (which is a real pain in the ass) It would be nice to add an option to enable the Dark Mode on our mobile device, by going to the "Settings" menu on our phone and enable it, like we do with the Lock Code. It would be really useful for texting (reading + typing) and for browsing the weather/call history or your contacts. This option should be added as soon as possible, don't think it's hard to create something like this! Anyways, thank you!

My guy lost his phone which had a contract so I got him a PAYG phone. I re-added all of his contacts to the PAYG phone but I don't see them on the UCP contacts list. They were there for the old phone which had the contract (though I cancelled the contract for the phone I lost) Is this normal? Do PAYG phones not list contacts on the UCP?

Short description: Adding an app on the phone for advertisements. Detailed description: This is an Idea I have been thinking about in my head and would love some community feedback. I know you can toggle ads off in your chat but this is just an Idea that I would love to see if the feedback is good. Removing Ads from the chat and adding them to a Twitter like app on your mobile phone with the ability to toggle on and off notifications. If you have notifications on they could pop up like a GTA phone notification above the map with a shorter version or something. This would allow people to use the phone and stop ads cluttering up that chat window. This would create a full nice little advertisement system right on your phone and I think would look and be awesome. Removing the clutter from the chat allowing for more focused RP without having to /toggle ad and would provide a nice section for ads be viewed for a longer period of time on the app instead of slowly fading away as the chat continues. Additional information: If the suggestion is added, adding like a timer to the ad for how long it would say in the app for example 10-45 minutes or something. As stated this was an Idea playing on my mind that I would love to see the communitys feedback for.

Short description: Phone update Detailed description: 1) First I would like to suggest a really simple thing. When you are in animation, for example: sitting, laying, ect. and you open the phone with /ph it doesnt makes the standard phone looking animation because you are already in one. 2) The other thing I would like to get is a buzz sound whenever you recieve an SMS. This could be turned off in a silent mode. I see no need for a ringtone but I definitely see a need of a buzz sound when you recieve an SMS. Commands to add: N/A Items to add: N/A How would your suggestion improve the server? 1) The phone animation no longer would interrupt the roleplay when you sitting in a bar for example and your character no longer stands up all of the sudden to check their phone. This would improve the roleplay experience and you would be able to realisticly do that to look at your phone without standing up. 2) When you are busy roleplaying you may not see an important SMS arriving and you would totally miss it out. Realisticly speaking you would be able to feel your phone in your pocket and I see a need to add a buzz sound when you recieve a text. (It would display only for the player the others wouldn't notice or hear the sound) I dont see a need for an anoying ringtone system because when you recieve a call, it cannot miss your attention so you wont miss out anything. However if you dont like the idea you could just use the silent mode on the phone setting so it would be basically the same how it is now. Additional information: Silent mode could be activated in the phone settings.

I thought of making it so that you can track the online status of the people in your latest texts/phonebook with something similar to the "last seen at ..." or "last online: dd/mm" thing that WhatsApp has. And if they're online, it could display a green circle or simply say "online". Players could have the option of toggling this aswell, just like it is on WhatsApp. Phone goes offline when it's turned off or player logs out, displaying the "last seen at" message instead. Allows for easier tracking of who among your friends are ingame etc i mean i don't think it would contribute towards metagaming or powergaming or whatsoever, it does nothing more than what /id lets you do and it also tells you when someone was last online. pretty good yis? edit: allow me to demonstrate my extreme paint talents

Short description: change the phone number generating to create realistic phone numbers. Detailed description: Currently, when you purchase a phone the number you receive is just a random series of eight numbers. Change this to match a realistic format by adding an area code to the beginning of the phone numbers. Old numbers: [ XXXX - XXXX] New numbers: [ 213 - XXX - XXXX ]. As an addition, it would be lovely to change the custom number system to force people to use realistic numbers. I believe the new system would keep the exclusivity of the custom numbers without creating non-realistic formats. Owning four-digit numbers are very convenient but also unrealistic. Short description: Useful Phone apps Detailed description: Notes App: Be able to add and save multiple notes on your phone. This very useful actually. Bank App: To show your bank balance instead of being shown on the right upper corner. Whenever you take a screenshot, everyone can see your money which should be private. Do bank transfers through the app. Phone Directory: First of all, the phone directory right now needs an update as it only shows the phone number of Police and Taxi. It should include LSPD's non-emergency line, Mechanic, Insurance and so on. The phone directory should also show numbers of public companies/businesses who chose to have their numbers publicly known (Not sure if the suggestion of having business landlines was implemented yet or not, but this will go along with that). The phone directory should be on your phone because a lot of people are unaware of how to access it, and it's just more convenient and common sense to have it there. Advertisements: Probably gonna take some work, so this is not a priority, but the ads in the "i" menu should be on your phone too. Hello, I would like to suggest a a widget on the front of the phone like where the time is which shows the current weather & temperature in the area you are on the server. This will allow people to actually roleplay something that all can see and have and help develop their character with clothing wear, activities to do and more.. Small details go a long way. Example:

Short description: A phone number to report smaller crimes that aren’t emergencies. Detailed description: So I noticed that there’s no way of reporting smaller crimes, for example illegal parking, abandoned vehicles, suspicious activity and careless driving, just to name a few. A non-emergency Number such as 311 or 101 would allow players to report smaller crimes to the LSPD without officers attending with lights, sirens and excessive speeds when it’s not needed. Commands to add: /call 311 or /call 101 Items to add: N/A How would your suggestion improve the server? This would allow players to report theses crimes without feeling guilty about having police respond quickly to something that isn’t an emergency. It would also give officers something else to do when there’s no emergencies happening. If there were an emergency, they would abandon dealing with the smaller crime and attend the emergency. Short description: Having "Contacts" - "Missed Calls" - "Voice Mails" on the menu when pressing "I -> Phone". The addition of "Call Logs" can also compliment the new system which would show your recent missed, received and sent calls. Detailed description: Something I asked @Westen about when the phone scripts were being implemented. Having these options would greatly increase the convenience of the new phone systems and reducing the number of commands a player would need to make thus clearing log files on the backend as well. Pretty basic suggestion ( this time ? ). Short description: @Ethanol I've put in this request before the forums went down and it got accepted, I hope it still captures the same reaction this time ?. Basically a phone number separate from your personal number, IF you're running a business-based faction. This will give the managers/workers of companies the option to put their company's phone on the forums or advertisements instead of their personal phone numbers. Detailed description: Players that own a business faction will be able to rent a phone line that can be used to handle orders, customer service, or whatever the managers see fit. This will avoid having the faction managers using their personal phone numbers and lines to advertise their businesses. To distinguish personal numbers from business numbers, I suggest including a default 1-888 (or) 1-800 before the business number. Example would be: 1-800-1234567. The format relates to the realistic toll free format that the United States use. This will add a bit of realism on how business owners utilize their customer's complains and/or service requests. It will also take away the invasion of privacy that comes with putting your personal number on an advertisement. [ACTIVATION FEE] A one-time activation fee of $5000 should suffice to activate the phone line. This will also include the 1 month fee for the first month. [MONTHLY FEE] This can be handled a couple of ways; 1) Players will be charged $50-$200 (whatever admins see fit) for a phone line that will be deducted from their bank accounts every 4th paycheck (1 IG month total). 2) The phone bill will need to be paid through a command: /paybusinessphone (and/or) /pbp To display the proper warning that their phone bill is due, it should say: YOUR BILL OF "$XXX" IS DUE NOW. PLEASE PAY TO AVOID SERVICE INTERRUPTION. [HOW TO PURCHASE] Two options can be available to purchase a business line; 1) This can be dealt with on a UCP level through the Faction Management system. 2) Or strictly through admin's approval & discretion. [DEACTIVATION/OVERDUE FEES] As for some companies in the USA, they offer a month or two of missed payments before cutting off your phone. To be fair and realistic, I suggest that players would go for a max of 2 months of a missed phone bill payment before deactivation. Once they have reached the threshold of their missed payments, they will not be able to use their business line until the unsettled debt is paid off, which will be tied to their Faction's ID (via UCP). The fee would not accumulate interest (unrealistic), but they will need to re-pay the activation fee again as well as what they owed. What the business owes would be added to the players "DEBT" in the /stats section. [COMMANDS] Separate commands similar to the existing ones would be added to pickup/hangup the calls. See "Commands To Add" for details. [INTERFACE] When someone calls the business line, text will appear as "BUSINESS PHONE INCOMING CALL" or something similar - in an distinguishable color. In addition, an interface/page where you can buy the phone lines. [MISC] In order to avoid bugs or conflicts of code, I'd recommend to remove the ability to use /phone or receive phone calls on your personal phone while on a business call. This will serve as realistic because in a business, it is very rare that one would put a customer on hold to attend their personal issues. Commands to add: /pickup - This will have the same effect as /pickup from a regular phone line - only - it now relates to both personal and business lines. /hangup - This will have the same effect as /hangup from a regular phone line - only - it now relates to both personal and business lines. /payphone - This will pay the business owner's phone line when the fee is due. /payoverdue - Pays the overdue fee (if any) and cleans the debt from the player's stats - giving them the chance to activate a new line. /bphone [number] - Uses the business phone line to make a call. /bpcontacts - Lists the contacts saved on the business's phone line. /bpaddcontact [number] [name] - Saves a new contact under the business's phone line. /bpdeletecontact [number/name] - Deletes a contact under the business's phone line. Items to add: [UCP] If the option of having the numbers purchased through the game without admin's discretion, a section should be added into the UCP Faction's page that lists the phone number and contacts saved in the line. This would be similar as personal lines, only exclusively to factions (businesses). How would your suggestion improve the server? This will avoid having the faction managers using their personal phone numbers and lines to advertise their businesses. Increasing security and realism whilst shaping the economy of the state. People would be able to text friends ICly even when they are offline, making sure RP development can continue without the need of both players to be online and adds the ability to relay IC information through other means than FaceBrowser, which is by the way a great medium, but doesn't cover all the bases. Example: I got a text earlier today, in RP I did not have my phone at hand so I didn't respond. When I was able again I had to resort to using FaceBrowser to respond to the text to get in contact with the person. Also, with the many crashes in GTMP; people just see the message after a crash instead of another person assuming they are suddenly offline or needing to retry 24/7. Additionnal information: none
