  1. "ALTO AL FUEGO" - JUANA ALICIA - 1988 La Comunidad aims to portray the Hispanic community of (but not limited to) North San Andreas. The last two decades, the clandestine migration of Mexicans and Central Americans through the Tamaulipas-Texas route has had ups and downs thanks to the economy, and surveillance put into this route. This however has not stopped the so-called "Coyotes" from limiting their presence in the area. What could be the link between the organized crime and the clandestine migration? You may ask, in my experience, the link takes visibility through the "Coyotes" as they are most of the time linked to someone else, they are, what they call in Mèxico, "apadrinados". They are untouchable and they are paying thousands of dollars to someone directly associated to a criminal group known as "La Maña". Beyond the ethnographic and contemporary narratives referring to "La Maña", we present you with the real name of the criminal group in charge of this whole clandestine movement. With approximately 350 kilometers of longitude, the route between Tamaulipas and Texas represents almost a 10% of the whole US-Mexico border. It is a region with a lengthy story of drug trafficking, homicide, human trafficking and so on and someone always controls it. A Northern city of Mèxico is heavily influenced economic wise by this whole route. Sinaloa. The fresh immigrant will do anything for some cash, they do not only have to support themselves, but their entire families. Some of them have families of at least ten members, it's not an easy task but they manage to pull through.

  3. Screenshots will not necessarily be posted in chronological order. This thread will provide glimpses into Vanessa Montenegro's life, a second generation American criminal born and raised in Miami, Florida by immigrant parents. Vanessa Montenegro Age: 36 Birthplace: Miami, Florida Occupation: Drug Dealer Affiliation: N/A Biography Vanessa Montenegro (born July 16, 1988) is an American woman of Cuban-Mexican descent and an active drug dealer residing in Los Santos, San Andreas. She hails from Miami and is the daughter of a undocumented immigrant Mexican father. Her mother was a legal immigrant from Cuba herself before migrating to Florida. Vanessa's immediate family, including her father and brothers were actively involved in the local drug trade in Miami. Vanessa herself was no stranger to partaking in petty crime as a delinquent youth, she sold drugs and started using cocaine from a very young age of fifteen and would occasionally partake in shoplifting with her friends. Eventually due to her behavior, Vanessa’s grades in school would begin to flounder. She ended up leaving school before completing her senior year. After leaving school she worked a series of low paying retail jobs in Miami. In this time, she also began to increasingly sell marijuana and cocaine to support herself. At her family’s behest Vanessa migrated to Los Santos in her early twenties to take care of her younger cousin Adrian “Lupo” Montenegro, whose mother was diagnosed with cancer. Vanessa’s relationship with her immediate family had already deteriorated substantially in the years after she dropped out of school. She had also already been looking for an opportunity to escape her stagnant situation in Miami and this was her golden opportunity to start anew. In Los Santos she found steady work as a cashier at a hardware store before eventually working her way up to manager of the same business in a few years time. She had also began to dip her toes into the local drug trade within Los Santos, gradually accruing connections over the years with other drug dealers across the city. Eventually, Vanessa would clique up with a group of Paisas based in Morningwood after coming into their orbit. She would spend many years cliqued up with the crew of Paisas. Vanessa grew to become a valuable and trusted insider within this crew despite being a US born Hispanic and of partial Cuban descent. She made use of her pre-existing pool of connections to help further the crew’s interests. However it wasn't all smooth sailing. Along the way Vanessa was tested and eventually ended up having a fair share of blood on her hands, including that of her own cousin Adrian. She was ordered to kill Adrian on the crew leader's personal orders. She reluctantly carried out the kill order on her own cousin and to this day has not truly recovered from the trauma of the incident, essentially having chosen her crew over her own blood. In spite of this trauma she continued to serve the Paisa cause well into the mid 2020s until the organization became defunct. In late 2023 the leader of the crew suddenly vanished from San Andreas for unknown reasons. Vanessa was left to her own devices in the aftermath of his disappearance. She continued to soldier on as an independent drug dealer once more, before leaving San Andreas herself.

Biography: Edgar "Acid" Padilla was once one of the more notorious members of the HPS13 gang in Las Vegas, known for his violent temper and quick trigger finger. Born and raised in the tough streets of West Las Vegas, Naked Street. Edgar grew up surrounded by poverty, crime, and violence. He dropped out of school at an early age and joined the gang to find a sense of belonging and protection. For years, Edgar was a feared and respected enforcer for the gang formed, responsible for carrying out hits, extorting businesses, and trafficking drugs. He was known for his fierce loyalty to the gang, his brutal tactics, and his willingness to do whatever it took to protect his money. However, as Edgar got older, he began to see the toll that the gang lifestyle was taking on his community and his own life. He started to question the senseless violence and the constant cycle of retaliation that only seemed to perpetuate the gang culture. He realized that he wanted a better life for his children, who he rarely saw due to his frequent incarcerations. After spending several years in prison for drug trafficking and assault, Edgar decided to turn his life around. He started slowly working his way out of the street as civil conflicts were at an all time high. He began working at a local metal fabrication and repairs shop at just around the corner from Naked St. Various years later time was spent in prison for drug trafficking, assault, and further issues arising. Edgar decided it was in his and his families best interest to turn tides and work his way along different means of income, professionally. After years of civil conflicts rising in his own gangs ranks there was only one way to go, and that was out. After finalizing a few last promises out in Nevada he turned haste towards Los Santos to meet with his cousin that eventually got him a job working for a garage out north. Months passed and he started to get a cleaner reputation around his end of the street, dipping his hands into business and more lucrative and organized terms of income. 9. DOWN AND OUT (IN RANCHO AND L.S.)
  10. Hoppin' off the porch The 'Get Down Goblins' is a group of predominantly Mexican-Americans who erupted and had light shed on them due to the group becoming a "nuisance" to the community. Even with neighborhood/community giving them backlash on news articles, making several complaints on the damages made done to mostly private properties. These damages range from graffiti, seen across El Burro, and along South-Central, acts of minor vandalism, and much more due to the fact they're just being a group of a bunch of reckless youngsters. Because of the way the 'clique' acts together, they decided to end up going by 'Goblins' and also additionally wearing/sporting green gear, or even sometimes seen sporting any of the NFL teams Green Bay Packers gear. This clique of teenagers are always on the move, riding out together on BMX bikes and never settling themselves down.

  18. Writer

    Martín Cano

The purpose of this thread is to follow Martín Cano's development. Martín Cano was born in Baja California, and raised in Los Santos, San Andreas. His Father an immigrant from Michoacán, and his mother a border child, from Baja California/San Diego. Martín grew up a subject of poverty, along with many other Hispanics within the city, if not the majority. Times were different back then though, being born in the 1980s, you can imagine the atmosphere was completely different to it is now. Martín grew up throughout the 80s and 90s, when gang culture was at it's peak. He got involved with a group of 'paisa' folk, who were from the same background as him. The group would go on to commit petty crime, such as petty theft, low level drug dealing and so forth. Time went on and Martín's father was soon deported back to Mexico after being discovered by immigration, working in the states without legitimate papers nor a greencard. This left a huge impact on Martín's family, now the main source of income had gone. Martín's mother was forced to struggle to keep herself and children alive, she worked many jobs, someone had to put food on the table. Years went by and Martín grew older, he found himself falling and unable to get himself back up in the world of crime. Deeper and deeper, but it's alright, surely he'll be able to get himself fixed up and straightened out before it's too late, right? Who knows. His mother knew that wasn't true, she tried to move out of the state to Texas in order to get herself and her children away from the city disease of gang violence and whatnot. It went well, it was a clean slate, until Martín eventually fell into similar circumstances, however this time in Texas. After spending a while in Texas, Martín returned to Mexico and found himself travelling from town to town. After becoming involved with a biker gang, he eventually became a patched in member after an estimated 7 months of being associated with them, and undergoing his prospect phase. Years went on, and Martín eventually became a nomad. It was then, when Martín decided to return to the states, back to Texas. Martín was soon arrested and charged for possession of an illicit substance and served within a level two state prison. Level two's aren't quite the same as level threes and level fours. Things pop off all the time, people seem more aggressive and easily provoked. This is mainly due to the fact that lower level prisons usually have a less organized system inside as to higher levels, where organizations such as The Mexican Mafia, Nuestra Familia, Aryan Brotherhood, Black Guerrilla Families and so forth operate at a much tighter and constructed level. During Martín's time incarcerated in the state of Texas, he soon became associated with the infamous 'BORDER BROTHERS' organization, an organization which operates both in the USA and in some parts of Mexico. Border Brothers was founded in Tijuana during the 1980s and soon grew greater into the United States, infiltrating prisons in California, Arizona and Texas, along with other neighbouring areas. Time went on, and Martín became an official member of the group. He would soon find himself working his way to a position of power, until he became keyholder on the mainline. Martín was released from incarceration in early 2020, and upon his release, he was tasked with travelling to San Andreas with intentions to support the small number of paisas attempting to create a movement within the state. Martín was met by Antonio De La Garza, a long time friend who had also served time with Martín. Now, it's all in writing, who knows where this story will end.
