Yet none of them knew what it really meant. They would smash windows and get into trouble all the time, being the little hoodlums of their italian neighborhood. During his childhood, his mother cheated on his father with the priest at their church, seeing that their family was strict Catholics. Having no mother, Joseph looked up to his father more and more. Having hard love and rarely seeing any emotion because he was a single child. It was him and his father against the world. As he went through high school, Joseph got into the small criminal act of selling dope for a older person in the neighborhood. He was a wannabe mobster who really was just a twenty year old who had a weed contact. Joseph moved from couches and spent some time on the streets because he had so little friends. A couple years after graduating high school, his father let him come home. This was for a reason...Joseph's father was dying from a bad heart. It was just a matter of time before his father passed away. Joseph had no idea of this, having a hard time keeping straight and doing the legal way to make money. He stayed away from selling weed and job hopped all the time. Finally the day came where Joseph came home to his father dead in his chair. He died from a heart attack and Joseph was at the funeral alone. A twenty two year old with no family and no role model to look up for. He decided to leave New York and head to Los Santos for glory and a new life.

The thread will follow Michael's development. Michael is a young Italian-American in his mid 20's and he was born in Los Santos. His father died when he was in early teens, his mother was sick and she could not work. So, as every good kid, he started working to survive with his mother. She would tear up every time he'd bring money home. He felt happy to be able to help his mother, two years later, his mom passed away and he was left alone. He felt very sad for the few weeks but he could not change the fact that they died. He's living alone and he is working different types of jobs to earn money. This thread will follow the character development of Manhattan Native; James Lorenzo Lucarelli Growing up, James was supported by his wealthy father, Michael Lucarelli, and housewife mother, Isabella Lucarelli; living relatively sheltered James was always pushed by his parents to focus on school, religion, and to pursue a tertiary education. Easier said then done, when you grow up around savages. James heeded to his parents and tried his best, a bright kid, his family decided to move from their West 4th street home to the Upper East, enrolling James into a prestigious Middle School, Wagner. Through his academic years, life was the same as any coming-of-age New Yorker; brawls, parties and brotherhood. Eventually moving to the awarded, Catholic school, Loyola High. James continued his academic success and began to excel in his Business and Commerce class, finding a love for it, a burning passion. His High School career would eventually come to an end, and with his above average, impressive results, James enrolled into the NYU School of Business. All of a sudden, James’ focus had suddenly shifted from academics to debauchery, living on his own now; out of his parents jurisdiction, James had become a new man, for better or worse. James continued his lavish party life, abusing blow and trashing dorms, he was the campus pest. This carefree attitude would last until his fourth year, James needed something to bring him back down to earth, just a week out from graduating when George, his father, was diagnosed with an extremely aggressive pancreatic cancer and roughly a month to live.
