Age: 16 Birthplace: Los Santos, San Andreas Ethnicity: African American - Tongan Carmelo is originally from Los Santos, he is the second son of known pimp Eric "Sleezy Eazy" Hopkins. His mother was "Sleezy Eazy's" first "girlfriend" aka his bottom bitch. While growing up Carmelo was often taken care of by his father, while being given "the game" at an early age which often included watching his father mistreat his mother and other "girlfriends" and abuse them and feed them drugs. This is one of the things that led to Carmelo's love of sports. It got him out of his household, and away from the environment where he saw things no child should see. Eventually Carmelo's father was arrested on drug and prostitution charges and was sentenced to 10 years in the state prison. Seeing this as an opportunity to get her life back together his mother made a decision to check herself into rehab and to send her son to live with his grandparents in the city of New Orleans where he soon joined a local AAU basketball league ran by his Grandfather in order to make friends and to cope in a completely new environment. After spending five years in New Orleans, Melo's mother had finally gotten her life back on track with a job and a home located in South Central LS. Carmelo took no time to move back in with his mother to the city of Los Santos at the age of 16 to finish his last two years of high school at Los Santos High. Carmelo's main goal is to navigate the many paths that can railroad a young male in the hood, while balancing friendships and high school basketball as a way to get himself and his mother out of the hood. Carmelo Can often be seen jogging or riding a bike through the neighborhood, the local gym or at a basketball court honing his skills. Personality Traits Introvert/Extrovert: Shy, keeps to himself but is very outgoing in group settings, or when he feels comfortable Athlete: Consistently works out, hates to lose, takes care of his body. Loyal: Due to growing up playing AAU basketball, and pee-wee sports, he excels in a "team" setting where close friends have to rely on each other. Focused: When given a task, he does his best to complete it. Calm: Usually keeps a level head in the worst situations. Hard Worker: Is not afraid of working to get what he wants or struggling. Fresh: As the son of a pimp he was raised to dress in the best brands and clothing at all times, and to stay up on any new style, he is vain, and hates getting his clothes dirty. Flaws Overly Loyal: Will follow a good friend to hell, regardless of what it may cost themselves in the aftermath. "Most likely to crash out." Sore Loser: The only thing that will take this character out his normal level headed coolness, is losing. Broke boy: Is bad with the money he has. He often spends it on clothing, athletic gear, etc. Will rarely have cash on him. Trash Talker/Joker: Once comfortable, will often talk shit just for the sake of talking shit, or to joke around. Loves to laugh. Always trash talks during anything completive.
