  1. (( He means to say they are projects. Look it up. It's a bit weird with the house system but most people tend to treat them as projects as well in the area, but IC that would mean they were government owned so I get why it's confusing. ))
  2. "VEGGY BEEF" - BEEF WITHOUT MURDER The next day Eddie informs Cristian about what happened, a heated discussion follows:
  3. Yeah I think if I would ask them in /b they'd be okay with me not roleplaying that. However that just makes the whole situation just even more awkward for me.
  4. Completely agree. I'm here escaping from this corona virus mess and then some player ruins my RP experience by making it an IC thing too, even though the server clearly isn't ready. Curfew would be really shitty and RPing a lockdown ain't fun either. Exactly, I've come across so many people RPing that schools for example are closed because of the threat, thus being free and having a mini vacation. This is part of a lockdown and they're basically forcing me to RP along so my char isn't able to go to school either. It resulsts in some really awkward roleplay situations. Grey area's are never a good thing, either allow it or don't.

    Hotels

The one in Rancho, works just like any apartment that can be rented for a long time, based on the house system. It's not exactly a motel. I would RP it as an apartment complex. Isn't that what the game suggestion thread is for though? Suggesting new concepts/ideas so they can be added to the gamemode? Besides that, who is we? You mean admins/management? Even though there are no firm plans bringing I'd like to know more about what's being discussed. You already brought up "how much it would realistically cost" and "how much they'd make in return" those are some really good topics to discuss in this thread and actually make this possible right? Besides the erpers that'd probably enjoy this (Yeah I get we don't want to promote that) I do believe a lot of IG homeless people will enjoy this feature. A hotel often also has rooms available for businesses, like a room where they can discuss and present ideas. You could even use the cinema script to create like a beamer presentation. I think some business owners would appreciate this idea as well. Besides that hotel rooms are used to make transactions, or simply for people who travel for example if my character were to travel from Rancho to Sandy for a bit. They could even go in hiding like that. I'm all for it, as you can see there's tons of scenarios that a hotel could provide alongside RP jobs. And indeed it doesn't have to be added right away (I'd rather see some improvements on illegal RP first) but I hope this gets looked at.
  6. Alcohol should definitely not be forgotten in the drugs revamp. Currently you're so quick to sober up and I've never had a drunk effect happen to me, is there actually one? Like a visible screen effect taking place when drinking too much? Is there even a drugs revamp coming? I know that crack, cocaïne weed thread exists, but I haven't really seen a word about a drugs revamp being worked on at the moment. All I heard is that suppliers now are able to rename drugs. So you can rename cocain to LSD, but there's no effects changing or anything. All effects should last longer and most definitely psychadelic drugs for players who wish to enjoy the actual effects. As well as for the addiction system I'm actually RPing an adict on an alt. RP wise that's no problem of course but it's actually hard to maintain addiction level 5+ because it goes down so fast.
  7. Well if that's true then I don't see how you spend 10-16k on fuel per week. Lately I've been RPing a lot and I don't even spend more than 500 bucks on fuel a month.. Plus you're working that whole time right? Don't you get like 5k an hour? I think this is rather a business problem than a fuel system problem. If trucking is too expensive because of fuel, the wages should be higher or the service needs to be more expensive or the products you get and deliver need a bigger marge.
  8. Alcohol yes, however I think the screen effect doesn't match reality all too well with cocaine or weed. Even if you'd be high as hell weed would only slower your reaction and make things slightly faded like alcohol. However I've been hammering on this for a long time I wish that psychadelic drugs such as shrooms, LSD, 2CB, and so on would have screen effects with a duration of at least 30 minutes. This counts for meth and heroin as well, but the screen effect should be less stronger and maybe only if you consume 2 in a short time.

    Player Kill

You're talking about the realistic portrayal of la eme and portrayal of fear for them. THAT is NOT on topic. This is about finding GTA world's defenition of a PK and asking 1. why it's not in the rules? 2. How are admins expected to maintain such reports about PK without having a rule/guideline? Also please read: Let me remind everyone that this is not about CK wars that's off topic. It's about the defenition of a PK in gta world, and PK wars is on topic, thanks.

    Player Kill

I'm going to keep it short as this is a topic for another thread and not based on the discussion of the defenition of a playerkill. But this isn't LA however. Yes factions are based upon the real world, but it's a fictional city with fictional factions. Just because the MM is one of the most powerful gangs in most states and cities in the US, it doesn't mean it has to be here. There are certain area's, states or cities where other gangs or some mafia would hold more power. There's a reason NF held way more power in northern cali. Again it's a fictional area, anything can happen based upon IC actions. If you'd want that you'd have to find a server that portrays 1:1 with Los Angeles. If for some reason a mafia faction (russian mafia, italian mafia or maybe even the new eurasian faction) would grow very powerful ICly. In your case they would be forced to still obey MM. Because MM is so powerful IRL? On topic: My "But is it though" ? Is mainly aimed towards management. As how can something be? How can a player be punished if there's not an actual rule or defenition written down. That's my main issue regarding the whole PK discussion. People have different perceptions, even admins.
  11. In my opinion fuel usage could be increased even more drasticly. With the old system you could easily drive around the LS map for like 3-5 times before having an empty tank. Performing a driveby with 10 % ??? Oh no problem it, after an hour it'll only be on 9 % It actually creates RP and gets the economy flowing (are Gas stations part of the closed economy though? Do either players own them or the gov?) Also do muscle cars, SUVs, chopper bikes have an increased fuel usage compared to sedans, small 2door cars and normal bikes?

    Player Kill

But is it though? that's no where stated in the server rules (yet) so how is this even maintained by admins? One player could feel like being down on the ground is a PK (if injuries are bad enough). Another player will feel like its only a PK if you /acceptdeath Then in another scenario a player will gun you down and once down on the ground keep shooting at you to make sure youre dead, but IF it would happen that only one arm was hit can an admin reset your health so that ambulance medics can save you still or is it too late and considered a PK? Good point brought up and again raising many questions. I personally agree with you, however currently I'm experiencing a type of PK war that's new to me since it includes a super faction controlling sub-factions against another few factions. With so many factions involved how I'm starting to see that players that were PKed months ago can either not partake in the war at all anymore OR they keep on re-introducing themselves to it and it's an andless war starting to become a DM fest. Also for the players that choose not to partake in the PK war anymore it gets super awkward because they basicly either deny the whole war exists ICly or acknowledge but are seen as weak or scared ICly because they don't join attacks.

    Player Kill

Also let me add that I remember seeing a defenition roll by in GTA world's discord posted by an admin but I can't seem to find it back. So even if there already is a clear defenition somewhere and someone can show me it, please don't L&A it yet because I'd like to see what people think and if the rule should be expanded or adjusted to regulate new situations that occured.

    Player Kill

Alright so first and foremost please don't call out other people / factions even though this is based on (recent) reports. This is honestly a question from me as I'm confused and would like it to be discussed. So feel free discussing this subject but I'm mainly hoping for a reaction from management and admins. However I think it's an important issue that needs to be discussed overal. Okay so I've noticed that most of the (recent) reports are about the player kill aka PK rule. Now I'm familiar with the global term PK but from experience I know that different servers handle the PK differently. So I tried to do some research and I couldn't seem to find a PK anywhere being defined in this server. The only part that talks about this in the rules section is the following, but it also includes a type: I believe the bold part misses out on a few words and is supposed to say: Once the players involved in your death have left (involved meaning present at the scene when your death occured in this particular instance, you can ..... and so on. So apparently this is the only part inside the rules that speaks on what you can do after have been player killed / PK'd. Now there is some examples defining the PK from previous servers I know of telling you: - ICly You forget about all events and all the people involved, 30 minutes prior and up to your death. You cannot go out searching revenge for your death as simply you're dead to the player that killed you. - ICly You forget about every event, action taking place or people involved prior to your death, you basicly have to start all over. - ICly You forget about every event and action taking place that specifcly lead up to your death. You also forget about the people involved in causing your death but you do remember everything else. You're dead to the other players involved in causing your death and therefore not allowed to revenge your death. Now some servers added something for realism: - You're not dead but you're injured heavily which causes IC memory loss of all events and people involved and leading up to your death. You cannot take revenge because ICly you're dead to the other players that were involved in causing your death and because your character turned to afraid and confused around the whole situation causing him to avoid finding out. I think we all get the global idea that PK is a precaution created to prevent players from going on an endles revenge killing spree. But the most important thing is the following part: Most servers added the following to the rule, You cannot partake in any revenge upon the players involved in causing your death unless being re-introduced to the scenario. Now I know for a fact that right now there's a lot of confusion on what "being re-introduced to the scenario" means. I feel that his is one of the main causes for many reports as we as a server should define "being re-introduced" in the server rules. Because many players will find a simple way to get re-introduced to they can involve themselves in the revenge. Now there's many examples players name in their reports such as: - It being a paid hit from someone else. --> Okay, but is a player that was related to the death allowed to give you that hit? This does simply fuel OOC revenge. - someone witnessing their beloved get murdered after they were murdered themselves, allowing them to rejoin in an ongoing feud. --> Okay, but is there a certain amount of time you have to wait atleast? And in case of a faction war doesn't this allow people to keep on re-introduce themselves forever? - Getting in a new feud with the involved players by accident. --> How is this regulated, how do we know a player didnt purposely created a new feud with them to get (OOC) revenge? We can't ban this rule as players simply can't avoid each other so how do admins handle this? And are we even allowed to get re-introduced to the current scenario which caused your death? Or are we only allowed to be re-introduced to a new scenario that involves the players that caused your death? As you can see I have many questions and the rules I showed all seem similar, but once you get into an IC situation the different rules show how different they really are and can have a big impact on the situation. A slight difference can have a huge impact on what a player is allowed to do after a PK and also impacts heavily how admins handle a report. Right no I believe admins look towards a report regarding to the idea of what a PK is, which can differ from person to person. So people feel free to show examples of situations that occured to show this but please leave out player names and factions.
  15. asbjhda comments: 150K !? fuckin putas who b coming up with these retarded prices!!!???? This = BARRIO JTM smh buncha levass suck my dick! Ill make sure yr price drop los pendejo, puta madre got me fucked up!
  16. Supporting this. Player should have a hammer or any weapon in his inventory though in order to start a brute force breakin.
  17. Don't want to come in here bashing you as I 100% agree. But I literally suggested this a few days ago: So please check that out. Also you're not following the suggestion format. I put a lot of effort in this suggestion so please consider taking this down and comment additional ideas on that thread. Admins / script developers already have hundreds of suggestion threads to go through so having all ideas in one place would make their job a bit easier.

    Jewellery

Short Description: A system to make jewellery visibly appear on your character after equipping the actual item in your inventory. Combining the clothes system with the item system. Detailed Description: Right now you can either add a chain or earrings to your outfit at the local clothing store or buy jewellery as an item but not actually wear it. I would like to suggest to take the jewellery away from the clothing stores and add the actual visible jewellery to the items script. It would sort of work like the current gun script. Right now people can create items themselves when owning a business. Owners of a jewellery store (or pawnshop) will likely create jewellery-named-items such as "Fake Rolex with gold plating" or "24k gold cuban chain". When using the command /createitem players would be able to add a catagory to it. By naming it a specific catagory the system will recognise the item as a chain or Earring. For this example we will use the following: Catagory ID = 11 224 - Yellow/gold Cuban chain 224 - Wooden Chain 226 - Silver cuban chain 227 - Silver rope chain 228 - Gold chain with skull pendant 229 - Diamond earrings 230 - Silver earrings You could simply copy the current ID's they have in clothing shops. To create an item they would use the existing command (I'm not sure what it's called so I'll just use /createitem) A player would use the following format: /createitem [Catagory] [ID] [Amount] [Name] For example: /createitem 11 224 5 7mm 24k gold rope chain with skull pendant /createitem 11 224 5 24k gold cuban chain Once the item is obtained by a player it would show up in their inventory: |-----Player's Items ------| 1: iPhone X 2: Bottle of Water 3: Fake Rolex with gold plating 4: 24k gold cuban chain You could use the following command: /equip 3 or /equip 4 to make the items appear on your body. For right now it would be limited to the actual items we have, but in the future we could maybe have modded watches and more. So right now only /equip 4 would actually work. Besides showing the actual item it would also add a temporary line to your /examine information until the item is unequipped, by simply using /unequipe /examine Player_Name |------PLAYER_NAME-------| Player name appears to be caucasian, in his twenties and about 6'2 Player_name wears a 24k gold cuban chain. Player_name wears a fake Rolex with gold plating. Commands to add: The following commands would have to be adjusted, /createitem /equip /examine /unequipe Items to add: Players could add these themselves or if this would make it too complicated: an item for every jewellery clothing item you can actually visibly wear. How would your suggestion improve the server? First of all this would improve the realism and immersion. Besides that I believe that this would contribute a lot to illegal RP. Right now robbing another character from his jewellery is either just done roleplay wise in case the player is visibly wearing the chain from a clothing shop, but it's not profitable as you can't obtain and sell the actual item. In the other case you would rob him off his item that's named after a Rolex for example, however it's very hard to sell this because having the item in your inventory doesn't add much for a player except for the fact you can emote wearing a Rolex. By splitting jewellery away from the clothing script and adding it to the item system similar to how equipping a gun works, it would make a lot more sence to perform robberies. It would also make a lot more sense to own a jewellery store or a pawnshop as I believe players are more willing to buy the actual scripted jewellery item. Additional information: -
