  1. I've been roleplaying in Second Life for a while.
  2. Even if admins kept a look at it, I think it would be a poor representation of the state of a part of the map. Admins can spectate you while you roleplay, but there are not enough of them to simply keep track of everything that happens within a faction or a neighborhood, I doubt citizens of a Sureño owned neighborhood would call the cops on those gangs, regardless if they cause trouble on the neighborhood or not. In regards to interiors it leads to people to not roleplay in them, bartenders are roleplayed through /do, so there's no need to hire them, cameras are set in an "enviroment post", so mapping is not used, or there's no need to use it, all of this makes it neccesary to search and read a forum post in order to know where the stuff is. And it can be abused heavily, seen people having Electromagnetic Interference Generators on their faction hub even.

What I miss is how developed and simple SAMP was in comparison to RAGE MP, I think that GTA V is too complicated to have a platform as stable as SAMP is. The fucking skin/mod scene was incredible also, I'd play in a GTA-W clone for SAMP and ditch GTA V honestly.
  4. It's got YDD, YFT, YMT and YTD files. The thing is, that I don't know if I should create a path on the dlc.rpf file like this: dlc.rpf\x64\models\cdimages\patchday3ng.rpf\ replicating what it's supposed to replace or just toss it on a dlc.rpf\x64\models\ folder. I'm also having a hard time finding BASE ADDON FILES for these. Maybe I could create them myself? Also, some of these files don't go into a dlc.rpf file, like on the MexThug folder some stuff is supposed to go to x64v.rpf
  5. Before I start with the topic I would like to point out why I'm posting this on off-topic and not in General even though it has to do with Roleplay. I do it because it regards the Spanish GTA:W server, also owned by @Nervous. It wouldn't make sense to discuss it because these matters don't concern this server, yet I would like to hear your opinion and get a fresh view on the topic, because I am losing confidence on my arguments. So let's get started. There's this thing called Enviroment Roleplay, which I've never experience here nor in FiveRP (A GTMP server Nervous bought), or that other popular SAMP server I know some of you have been in. The concept is relatively simple: The city is populated. Based on this concept, some rules have been made to make the world more believable. After you start firing or kill someone on the street, rob a car or enter a house to steal you, the criminal, call the cops acting as a pedestrian, even if you and your victims are the only ones on the entire neighborhood. That's not it, you can also roleplay by using /do NPCs, like workers for your business, other citizens on the street, etc. There's a thread going on there where an user requests the administration to "make official enviroment threads", so people know the enviroment of each neighborhood, see where this and that business has cameras and where, which NPC works where, and what not. I would like to ask what's your take on the concept, since I haven't seen it here and things go here better than there. There's also a debate on background choices. As you may know @Dominykas. posted a thread for Roleplay Quality Reports, where he specifies this is a reason to get people reported: The issue is that most users are fine with roleplaying that they inherited a house that doesn't match their background story, that winning the lottery on your background story is absolutely acceptable, and having a $150K car and a big house is acceptable because you could've asked credit to a bank, even if you're working in a Burger Shot. Do you think this might be counterproductive or damaging in any sense?, does nature play a role by making them fail terribly? Is it mere bad interpretation or can it be classified as powergaming? can you powergame on your background story?

I like it was more simple, even a dumbass like me could mod it. Modded LQ skins were a pretty cool resource. Fat characters, short characters... all that shit we lack with online characters here you know.
  7. So, I was around back during the early stages of SAMP, there only was DM and stunts servers. I don't remember the year but it was before 2007, me and some other Spaniard by the name of Saga made a DM server. One day I went to one of the first RP servers there was, called Godfather RP, Passed the UCP Certification by copy/pasting the answers from some other forum. I barely knew how to speak English so I was absolutely lost and quickly quit. The server we had stopped receiving new population, so we got rid of it and I went to Second Life. Started roleplaying in Star Wars and sci-fi places. Fuck, Saga, my first internet friend, gonna change my name just to honor him.
  8. The times of Inagawa-kai, like how we burned the Clucking Bell factory in Paleto, or the chicken fights we did.
  9. Is there any way to modify models too? I say it because these include some archives that affect models: https://es.gta5-mods.com/player/rancho-13-vagos-retexture EDIT: I think I might be in the right path; I took the dlc.rpf of the game (following the path given on the download's install settings) and copied it outside; the archives (textures, models, metadata, etc. are there to replace, but within the dlc.rpf where these archives are there is a million more, I ain't sure if I should keep the rest or just remove it all and add the ones from the mod, plus I've got to look further into the content.xml, it's kinda messy. I'll update tomorrow when I'm awake. EDIT2: I gave up on the PEDs for now because of the content XML, wanted to try something more simple, so I took the glock 17 mod, wouldn't work, gonna keep trying.
  10. How do you re-encrypt archives? I've got some mods like the Rancho 13 PEDs and the glock one I would like to use for the Spanish server.
  11. Don't you have any friends to RP with? There are jobs in game also, you could meet people in those too.
  12. I agree that too much stuff happens in interiors, people feel subconciously safer there. You can't get reported nor trolled in them, it's a controlled space. LSPD could step it up also. Seen like 1 patrol car in front of a club, while 4 or 5 were open. Haven't seen any patrol cars looking for speeding drivers, and there's a lot. Are there any investigations going on? to take down gangs and any other illegal organization? Patrolling is nice, but they should have other stuff as well, they got the resources.
