  2. West side, a home of dozens of gangs in the past and present. Yet this day it is pretty much still riddled with gang activity. No streets of either Devon or Chamberlain Hills can be seen unclaimed. Violation of territory policy often results in either a robbery or a dead body. The south side has always been the home of Afro-American people and Mexican-American gangs. The community is strongly dominated by Blood affiliates with tags upon walls showing their allegiance to the Blood Mafia. Youths are being pushed into the criminal underworld via either their parents being members of a gang or the lack of money in the families. An escape from the gang world is a tough task and various of gangs on the south side have shown that there will be no loose ends. As a result of this dangerous community, a few teenagers formed "Funkville Black Mafia" in 2008. The gang primarily consisted of young Afro-American teenagers who felt intimidated by other gangs in the community. Not feeling comfortable and safe, they formed their own gang and would do petty crimes for a dollar. In 2009, a 40 years old Blood affiliate approached the teenagers and briefed them with the story that the west side had. Telling them that right where they stood dozens of people sacrificed their lives so it today still would be an Afro-American community. The boys had no clue what the man, Nash Quenton was his name, had been through, what his current job was and who sent him. Soon they found out and what they did not know, was that a new era was made and that Nash wanted the gang to pay their allegiance to the Blood Mafia. He supplied them with narcotics over a few months with the amount increasing each month, just to see how they would slang the narcotics. Jesse got his fair share each month and finally realized what he had made.In 2017, a new gang was formed in the same neighborhood as Funkville Black Mafia. Their name was "Little Valley Lokotes 13" a Sureño affiliated gang. Having a gang claiming the same as turf as you, often results in a bloodbath and this was no exception. Funkville Black Mafia wanted to be the only gang in that particular area but was denied by the Valley Lokotes, forcing them out of their territory. Many young teenagers sacrificed their lives trying to claim the area theirs but was killed in various of shootsout and wrong-ending robberies.September 2018, the "Funkville Black Mafia" reformed their gang and named themselves "Crystal Heights Crew" refering to them claiming their turf and to the drug "methamphetamine". Crystal Heights Crew still remains in the same neighborhood after calling a truce with Little Valley Lokotes and agreeing upon splitting the turf. They keep a neutral ground between eachother. OOC Information Crystal Heights Crew is a faction based around the realistic portrayal of an Afro-American set. We base ourselves around the gritty hood environment and we will expect members who are trying to gain affiliation to reciprocate as well as create their own scenarios. CHC is not a sub-faction for any other Afro-American related faction. Becoming associated with the faction, you must be highly skilled in your roleplay. We expect activity from our members but don't expect to become initiated in the faction in a couple of days because that isn't going to happen. The initiation period may be long but that's what makes the achievement worth while. Upon joining the faction you agree to an invisible contract between you and the leaders, that they can character kill you at any point they feel necessary.
