  1. For the people claiming that Pillbox staff isn't paid enough, let me point out that: A Resident Physician gets paid $75,000 a week. A Registered Nurse gets paid $65,000 a week. A Psychologist gets paid $70,000 a week. The above mentioned roles are entry-level positions (student/trainee aside) in their respective departments, which are emergency/internal medicine, nursing, and mental health. When we compare them to other factions, it's clear that Pillbox pays way more than the average. Still, we've recently been having some internal talks about giving these wages a slight boost. Regarding the inactivity claims, I'm sorry, but it's just not possible to have people in the hospital all the time. Sometimes there are 4 or 5 of us in the ER and no patients show up for 2 hours. Other times, there's only 1 of us or none, and we're bombarded with departmental requests or drop-offs. It's just the way things work when you're in an inherently reactive faction. However, I can say that we've been working hard to drive up our recruitment efforts, and I believe we're much more active now compared to half a year ago. If you're interested in roleplaying with us but can't find us in the ER or lobby, I recommend visiting our website and requesting an appointment. When it comes to the topic at hand, those who are familiar with me know that I've always supported the idea of healthcare being paid for. I've shared some suggestions on how to put this into action, which can be found here. The specifics outlined in the document aren't final and may undergo changes, but our ultimate goal is to incorporate as much web app and script automation as possible. We'll take into account the feedback we received from the survey we conducted recently to make necessary improvements. I'm also totally on board with having a more detailed injury system. I won't dive too deep into it since others have already shared some great ideas on this thread, but one thing I want to mention is that certain consumables (donuts, sandwiches, etc.) shouldn't magically boost your HP. We're all probably familiar with people out there carrying around 50 donuts in their inventories, and that doesn't really help anything. If regaining HP becomes much harder than it currently is, it'll force players to seek treatment at the hospital or call emergency services, which I think is a good thing.
  2. I have the feeling this will simply discourage people from reporting other players because they might feel uncomfortable sharing certain videos or images.
  3. I don't agree with the original suggestion, and after reading through most of the replies, name-changing a character should automatically take you out of the /partner script.
  4. Bumping, starting bid and buyout lowered.

  6. Hey, The link to the external document can be found in the section description. You can access it here though.
  7. Hello everyone. PHMC is running a public survey to gather community feedback regarding the next steps we should take to implement monetization plans and billing programs for core services of our faction, such as appointments, emergency room services, medications & prescriptions, and so on. We would greatly appreciate if you could take some time out of your day to provide us with your input on the various topics addressed in the survey, as you, the player, is what keeps this faction alive. Questions that require you to type anything at all are optional, multiple-choice ones are mandatory. The survey is also completely anonymous. To access the survey, please click here. If you have any questions about the survey itself or in regards to the topics addressed in it, feel free to ask away here. Thanks in advance!
  8. I think a lot of people face this issue because they're not patient enough. It takes time to build relationships and get involved in roleplay, so don't get discouraged if you don't see results immediately. Just keep plugging away and eventually you will start to find your niche.
  9. I'm not sure if those last words were directed at me, but I work closely with the modding team, and they are exceptional people. Not only are they very patient, but they are also incredibly generous with their time, and the work they have done to assist the faction I'm involved with has been nothing but great. I just wanted to touch upon the topic of paid mods that's been brought up in this thread. I completely respect the team's decision if they believe the mods aren't worth being paid for, and I appreciate, as most of the community should, that they're trying to maintain high standards, but I also believe there are a few mods out there deserving of compensation that probably wouldn't need to be reworked almost from the ground up.
  10. How about channeling some of the player-donated funds to subsidize paid mods? While I may not know how much money is donated on average per month, it's not crazy to think that it reaches several hundred or even thousands of dollars. Considering that players contribute with the expectation that their funds will be reinvested into the server, wouldn't it be reasonable to allocate some of these funds specifically to pay for mods, or is the entirety of the donations exclusively dedicated to sustaining the overall server infrastructure? I'm genuinely asking.
  11. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I can see the value in recognizing and rewarding the hard work of mappers, and while tipping them with WP's for their splendid work is a well-intentioned suggestion, it risks overshadowing the substantial contributions of other players, specifically faction leaders off the top of my head, who also significantly invest their time and energy and arguably contribute considerably more to the server's narrative and dynamics than mappers do, but they're often overlooked and underappreciated for the role they play in overseeing and managing their respective factions, which takes an enormous amount of OOC commitment as well. So, if the argument stands that mapping is an OOC endeavor demanding significant time and energy, like you said (and it's not wrong at all), the same holds true for plenty of other key players in influential IC and OOC positions within the community, and I don't think it would be fair to inadvertently devalue their contributions by disproportionately rewarding mappers who made a voluntary choice to join the team, and it could create a perception that certain roles in the server are more deserving of recognition than others, when they're all pivotal to the server's depth and richness.
  12. I think the issue you're facing right now is the same issue a lot of Europeans would face if the timezone was changed to -3. They would never be able to play during nighttime because 9 p.m. in-game (which is generally when it starts to get dark) to someone, let's say, in Germany, would be 1 a.m., and most people would be in bed by then. This would become an even bigger issue when the clock advances again in a couple of months. The server is primarily populated by Europeans, and so it makes sense that the in-game timezone is accommodated for them. It's one of those situations where you can't please everyone, so you might as well please the majority.
  13. I can't express enough how much this is needed. Something about having (M) dropoffs at the hospital with a dozen of gunshot wounds, and being unable to contact their parents or legal guardians just doesn't sit well with me.
