I'm going to deny this suggestion. We are not here to fully micromanage roleplay. This is a minor thing that can easily be fixed by putting a passcode on the phone or by simply not doing it. It removes roleplay avenues from others that find these things that can be used for blackmail. If a minor character encounters this they can simply delete the messages or contact an admin about it and they can handle it for you. I see no reason to add another rule for the sole purpose of micromanagement. Rule 19 serves as a protective barrier to lessen the exposure not to stronghold people and choke them with all these extra rules. Plus a lot of negatives on this serves as another reason for denial. Thank you for the suggestion but it's not a good fit for the server.

It's a site that is meant to be completely in character. There's no need for OOC names, moderators can access that information if needed, players don't need that information that would clearly incite metagame/mixing. I'm going to lock this, bring it up to Facebrowser moderation but as of this moment this is going to be denied.

Staff Update December 2023 Welcome Welcome to the December 2023 edition of the Staff Update, it's a chilly one! First of all hope everyone had a good thanksgiving! Hope everyone is healthy and well, we are all thankful for the community and everything it brings. December is always a month where we expect people to be on holidays and activities to be lowered so bare with us and the community as a whole. Development Update In this section we will highlight the development updates we have throughout the month. A HUGE thank you to our Game Developers and Web Developers for their work, lots of good features and fixes! Shopping menus was added in the start of November revamping the menus to add a more interactive menu allowing you to use cash or card and adding more than one item instead of having to open the menu several times for each individual item. The biggest immersion and highlight of the development logs is the CCTV system that was added in allowing you to access your cameras IG or on our site to see who's been in your properties that have CCTV cameras. This eliminates the needs for administrators and allows players to be able to have the CCTV footage readily available for illegal or legal purposes. The feature documentation is found here! Fire alarms were added into the server for more immersion and roleplay which can be purchased from hardware stores. Property Owner and tenants can trigger these fire alarms, good roleplay idea for the Fire Department to respond to and for mock fire drills! If you're creative enough, you can use the fire alarm for other scenarios! Three new vehicles ( Vapid Sandstorm EV, Vapid Caracara 2022, Vapid Imperial ) along with a few extra liveries on one of them and a new go kart racing track in Vespucci! Thanks to @Tiddy and @Oggy. Staff Update October 2023 Welcome Welcome to the Spooky October 2023 edition of the Staff Update. September is a busy month for everyone as college/school has started back up, unfortunately summer is now over! We are now entering the fall spooky season this month! This is one of our biggest staff updates in a while, lots of new faces and promotions! Development Update There's a few development updates we are going to highlight this staff update, the development team has been working hard on pushing more updates and making small changes/fixes to improve the server and the quality of roleplay on the server. Racing System was added in on September 9th giving some factions and even businesses to create racing courses that are timed for players. This is a good quality of roleplay implementation especially for like SAMRA and other racing associations. New speedometer which almost everyone has noticed was added in on September 21st. It gives more details and extra icons to determine whether your check engine light is on instead of seeing it in the chat and if you are trying to figure which blinker is on but not all models show but that clicking noise is going on! -Station Duty was added in showing if a Police station or Sheriffs station has someone working on the desk, certain buildings have this option so that way you know it's open and being actively tended to if you want to ask questions IC or even interact with someone there. -Images can now be sent via texts in-game which is great and eliminates the need to have to send pictures through other means keeping it purely in character. 808masterus wants to know which fit is better. Greatly appreciate the development team of GTA World constantly working hard on improving the server on all aspects, it's never easy working on these systems and testing them to ensure there's no bugs that way everyone has an enjoyable experience when using these features. Message from Staff Management Staff Management has moved our staff reports on to the User Control Panel, this is to ensure staff reports are not lost in communication via Forum PMs and helps with a more efficient system for us to keep better track of reports. We are still working on compiling and concluding our staff reports that are still via the forum PM method as we are adjusting with the new system on the UCP. Bear with us while we are handling the staff reports via the forum PM and focus on the UCP. We're also working on breakin requests, we're aware these are a pain point for our team, and for the community, and it's something we've invested time into being more proactive with to ensure they're not hanging around, and ensuring that there's comfort with admins taking and handling them. We'll be opening discussions with the Illegal FM team regarding this to ensure that we can pinpoint any issues and ensure they work and operate smoothly for everyone. Message from Forum Moderation During the past month, Forum Moderation has taken as a priority to tackle down the number of reports that were pending either from administrators that left the staff team or that for other reasons could not handled the reports on a timely manner. Our goal since the creation of the team has been to lower the amount of time that a player has to wait in order to get their reports or refund requests handled but also to relief some workload from the other subteams, by handling Forum Work. With this being said, we have brought up new people in the team this month and kept the reports section reduced to 1 page for the majority of the month. I would like to personaly thank to everyone in the Forum Moderation team that has actively contributed this summer to keep the reports page on a decent number and allow our community to not wait for a long period. With roughly 1125 froum reports concluded during the summer period, when each one of us also gets busier with our life affairs, I cannot express enough grattitude for all of the work that has been done by Forum Moderation but also by our Staff Team as a whole. Staff Update September 2023 Welcome Welcome to the September 2023 edition of the Staff Update. August flew by so quickly! Summer's coming to an end and we are entering the fall season, school's starting back up and those already back in college. Last update we used a new format and we will be using it moving forward while we make changes depending on the season or the month, expect a spooky update coming next month! Let's dive in to the update. Development Update Month of August has been a little slowed down in our development team as they have worked extremely hard the past few months! We will touch on a few new features. Leasing Overhaul Selena has worked really hard with the development team to make some leases easily accessible in-game and avoid the process via the UCP which relieves the Property Management of a major workload and makes it easier on the players to obtain certain leases without having to write a character backstory and explaining why you would need these leases. With the overhaul you can lease offices, containers, storage units and stores within the mall without an application. There's also in-game vehicles that can be leased without an application with the exclusion of special vehicles which will have to be requested on the UCP due to their rare nature. This can be found HERE Highlighted features Phone Directory has been added in! /phonedirectory to have a list of all phone numbers available among some businesses and government agencies instead of having to hunt down for those landline numbers! New Graffiti fonts! More icons for players to use when creating items! More ringtones and text alerts on your phone! You can favorite your XMR stations to make it easier to navigate among your favorite stations, up to 20 stations. New dealership UI to match our newer updated UIs and loads faster! Random loot in dumpsters! Four new vehicles were added to our dealerships! Declasse Tulip M-100 Sedan Vapid Benson Classic Benefactor Schafter Stretch Maibatsu Mule Flatbed New flashbang script for the on-duty LEOs which can be adjusted on the player's end via /settings. Property Management Community Meetings Property Management conducts community meetings every month (more information in their discord: https://discord.gg/P83V4SNdw5) where players can review early features that Property Management is working on, have the freedom to express their concerns directly, push suggestions forward, and ask questions as they wish. Every month Property Management composes an itinerary of features and showcases them during the meeting, some being large updates, some being QOL (Quality Of Life), Despite the size, the community has a massive weigh-in and heavily sways the direction in which Property Management will go. I am disappointed everyone decided to use this topic to trash talk. While it is an idea, I personally don't think it's a necessity. As pointed out in the suggestion, /me and examine attributes can be set. We don't need a whole mod thats going to last only a couple of weeks just for the mod to just sit and clog up space.

That's why it's experimental! We try it out, gather feedback and go from there. So far it's mostly complaining about fueling your car for 15 seconds and how this update sucks. I'm sure in a week everyone adapts and understands why, if not then obviously we will work around it.

So glad I drive an electric car. It's experimental guys, give it a chance. It's supposed to be realistic on the driving, maybe it encourages more RP. No one's asking you to do chores, every RP server has a fuel system. I see this being positive, could push people towards electric if it lasts longer and is convenient or it could make people car pool cause they don't have a car that's good on gas. It's all about immersion. It's supposed to be inconvenient.

Hello everyone! Welcome to the July 2023 Staff Update! Where do we even begin to start?! We have a few days left to reach our goal for the UNICEF Ukraine charity event! This is your last chance to get the unique vehicles and tags as they will not be available after July 10th which is the last day of the charity https://ucp.gta.world/charity. June has been jampacked with a load of new features and development towards the community! We have Sandy Shores coming out with more housing which was announced by @Selena in our GTA World announcement channel. 138 new properties, 30+ new homes, 45+ available businesses in Paleto Bay. We have the cash in transit feature that was added in by @FatCatTuxedo, those requesting to perform heists must request it through here. There's many more updates that were done this month, check out our game changelog to get more details which can be found here. Development hasn't stopped at all, week by week we're getting exciting new features which change the way we continue to experience the server, and our utmost thanks goes to the developers who have the patience and commitment not only to develop these features, but listen to the admins and the playerbase consistently to help us fine tune these features to make them reach their full potential, and help continuing to make everyone's experiences better here at GTAW. On to the Staff side of things.. Over the last 30 days, our Staff Members have accepted and handled 8443 ingame reports, 7051 ingame support tickets, and 2219 applications to join the server, along with other subteam, and forum duties aside. We've increased in our statistics since last month as our numbers continue to grow! With more demand, comes an increased need for staff, and an increased amount of time devoted by each staff member on a daily basis, so we're continuously thankful and greatful for everyone who takes the time to put their own roleplay aside and assist during the busiest hours. We're also greatful for the patience of you, the player, who submits a report and can sometimes find it unanswered for a while during peak hours, and Staff Management are continuing to find new ways to make this easier on everyone. We would like to congratulate @Fenris for absolutely killing it in house requests! Fenris has been promoted to Senior Administrator under Assistant Head of House Requests, while it is not normally a senior administrator position they have proven themselves and showed their dedication towards the Property Management team and within staff. Great job! Keep it up Fenris! Congratulations to everyone else who was promoted this month too, we appreciate the work you've been doing, and good luck in your new roles. Hello everyone! Welcome to the June 2023 Staff Update! June has been an exciting month for the community as a whole, and there's so much to cover, where do we even start?! At the start of June it was announced that we were planning our Charity Drive for the year once more, this time aimed at supporting UNICEF and the amazing work they're doing across Ukraine. We thank you that 114 of you have donated a total of 197 times to a total that goes above €9,000 so far, and with so much more to come still! One of the absolute privileges of having such a strong community is getting be a part of amazing things together when we all collaborate to help on these events. Whether you give a lot, or just a small amount, know that every single penny counts, and that we are grateful for the impact that we get to have together, for good. You can continue to donate here, all the way through until the 22nd of June, and we'll continue to update you on our progress to our goal as we go along. Just this week, we've already been able to showcase some of the amazing work that the Development Team and the Illegal Faction Management team have been working on, and we're excited to see what this brings in light of changes and new dynamics to support more rewarding opportunities for illegal roleplayers. It goes without saying we're extremely thankful for the work that the Development Team and the Admin Team as a whole keep coming together to help produce to help improve our quality of life, as a server.
