  1. Since all requests are to be accepted by an in-game administrator, I see no need in restricting the script command as well. Not to mention this is a suggestion that aims to fix something that's not even broken just yet. If we happen to encounter a massive amount of spam as a result of the robbery system requests we will be considering limiting them as suggested.
  2. Property owners who actually rent out their house to multiple players regardless of how many beds / rooms their property contains are the ones to blame. We can't limit the /rent system because renting a property scriptwise can also be interpreted as giving another player a set of keys to your house. This does not necessarily means they live in your property.
  3. It is now visible on the UCP - click 'XMR' (sidebar menu) for a full list of all the current in-game stations!
  4. Buying locks to secure your vehicle is common sense really. If anything people were simply abusing the /vpark system to despawn their vehicle each time they're not directly facing it / it gets out of their sight to prevent it being stolen. You can argue that it would cost you money - sure it will. The process of buying a vehicle never ends at paying the purchase price, even in real life. There's gas, insurance, taxes and maintenance - all these require a constant flow of payments from the vehicle owner. This is not that much different. Nobody is getting defensive here either as you suggested. If anything we're trying to collect constructive feedback and suggestions for the system and its future updates. @Smilesville's recent suggestion is spot on, for example. Comments such as "this is a bad system" and "it's not fun and i won't play" are not, though.
  5. I don't recall suggesting any sort of grinding whatsoever, not sure why you're trying to take my words out of context. Those who want to secure their vehicles during the nights and are capable of purchasing / renting a standalone garage will face no issues whatsoever. You could always pick one of the many new introduced roleplay jobs for your character in order to earn an extra buck. If you don't want to do any of that - that's fine too. Nobody is forcing you to buy a lock for your house door either, but don't be overwhelmed when somebody gets in. With that being said, if your property has a garage attached to it you can easily request it scripted (completely free) so you can interact with it (read). As I've already mentioned we will be exploring new possibilities for our players to secure their vehicles during their time off the server.
  6. You could always rent / buy a garage. We will be exploring more options for players to secure their vehicles while they're offline.
  7. The entire point of /ames is to avoid printing a lot of unnecessary emotes in the chat. You get a notification upon locking/unlocking your vehicle - same goes for /smsing. Why would you want the full emote printed to your chat to begin with?
  8. You can respawn your vehicle at your property / garage and all damages will be fixed. For further concerns about the new vehicle system please refer to this topic (no point in having duplicated threads): Locking this for now.
  9. I'm pretty positive it was intended to respawn the vehicle you're currently in while being near your property / garage. So all 'OOC damage' caused to your vehicle should be gone upon the command usage. Due to the temporary rollback I cannot test this right now. I will confirm this the first chance I get.
  10. To address your first concern - there should be no more issues with players spawning their vehicles on top of others, due to the recent removal of the /vpark feature, at least not very often. Obviously this may still happen occasionally but frankly there's no real difference regarding how such situations are handled. The staff team nowadays receive approximately twenty reports every hour regarding vehicle issues and we always help our players out in such situations - this is not meant to be any different now and we will still be assisting our players with all RAGE issues and bugs that might occur. If you encounter any issue in-game you can use the /report feature and request assistance (same applies to players that crash into you without roleplaying any sort of injuries / damages). Garages work fine as long as the property type is set properly by Property Management. If you encounter issues with your garage - /report in-game and this will be looked into. If something is still not working as expected - you are more than welcome to submit a bug report on the forums so this can be addressed and hopefully fixed fast enough. Worst case scenario - respawn your vehicle at your property. The respawn feature is not gone - it is just less comfortable for players to use every time they want to magically fix their vehicle.
  11. I think you're all way too fast to judge a system that has been live on the server for less than 24 hours so far. I've been going through these comments and frankly I can't seem to understand what's the big deal. The only real difference is the fact you can no longer /vpark your vehicle anywhere you like at any given time. However, you are still able to respawn it (which also fixes the vehicle damages) at your property / garage. If you want to secure your vehicle - upgrade its lock and alarm systems. Not enough? Buy or rent a garage to park your vehicles in. Some 'RAGE Desync' has damaged your vehicle? Respawn it at your property. Vehicle has flipped / drown for whatever reason which you cannot handle IC - /report for administrator's assistance in-game (same as you've been doing until now pretty much). Either way you will have to start watching your driving from now on. No more speeding through empty intersections and pulling off stunts without having to deal with their consequences. Sure - there will be flaws. What system doesn't have them? With that being said you all need to keep in mind that we're striving towards realism and at the same time trying to make the game as enjoyable as possible to all of our players. If we come to realize the system is not in our best interest changes will be made. However, it is way to early to have this discussion in my opinion.
  12. Sure, why not. Pretty reasonable to have this implemented and shouldn't take much time to code. Forwarded.
  13. Since there's no much interest in that as the lack of comments on this thread proves, I'm going to suggest the following: Those who want to preserve a realistic environment around their properties can rent them individually to players after conducting some roleplay with them and signing the proper IC contacts. The rent fee can be paid once a week or a month (similar to how things work in real life) and collected ICly, so there's no need to rely on the renting system at all. I know for a fact some players have been doing exactly that in the past few months judging by the advertisements section. I'll be locking this on that note, thank you for posting this.
  14. Couldn't find it in the Forwarded section so I'll just move this thread there instead. Thanks for the feedback.
