Not all servers run on the same framework and each servers Dev team codes differently. Install MSI Afterburner and limit the power to your GPU or a temp limit. No one knows what causes it but this is the way to get around the super high temps.

Sounds cool in theory and accountability is always good, but at the same time this will also promote more friction between players as some people get extremely angry that the person they reported did not get punished in the manner they wanted and as such report the admin who dolled out the punishment. Of course I haven't been staff for a long time and can't speak for the current team, but there was a high amount of pettiness when I was an admin and I do believe that airing such things would only cause damage to both players and the staff as it creates an image that is presented to the community.

That is usually the point of a ban, to force a dialogue between the admin and the player. In other cases it's simply the removal of a problematic person. In my personal experience warnings do very little to stop things. On the main point of the thread, no admin records should not be expunged after a certain point of time. If you had an offence a year ago and your behaviour changes drastically in that time it's not going to be used against you.

I'd rather see those people just get ajailed or banned for mass DMing because a warning for that kind of offence is laughable.

I'm no dev but from what I know of this they're just random instances created when the interiors are entered, the devs would then need to set it up to create another permanent instance for each and every camper, yacht or tug bought on the server which would create a whole lot more interiors. In short it requires a fair bit of work. But once again I am no dev.

This was suggested a while back, pretty sure it's not possible as they're not counted as interiors like houses are. It's just a temporary interior.

These boats cost roughly $900k upwards IRL, however the mod itself runs like absolute garbage as it's not made properly and just works like a reskin.

Last time I experienced this, I ended up having to relaunch my client a handful of times. Problem turned out to be a connection issue down the line for me.

I fail to see why this should exist, asset transfers exist and all assets your character owns are IC. If you shouldn't ICly have them then you should have them you shouldn't be able to OOCly vault them like some kind of 4th dimensional commodity.

Not unless there's a complete rework on the system. Gonna be a no from me because I don't want to see rubber banding bikes and flying motorcycles again. It wasn't lag then nor was it desync, it was purely how the script functions causing those issues.

You shouldn't experience many issues, You'll be able to participate in gunfights, car chases and everything legal as well without issue. The only issue that I can actually mention is the initial connection to the server which we have a thread about. All in all, no issues outside of connection issues sometimes.

Exactly this, people just run in circles till the anim ends and then the shootout starts.

I'd also like to say that to all those people on here mentioning the FOI act, go and read through the current state of PD in the threads relating to it's change of leadership. It should shed light onto why your requests are not being answered. PD players are just that, players. They owe you nothing and recently their own rp has been in turmoil due to a continuously changing environment.

If the helicopter is at the height of street lamps there is an issue and if it happens I call for people to report it, I know the guy who heads the LSPD ASD would very much like to know about that. How is this helicopter abused? It has to be flown, it has to keep up with you and the pilot and co pilot have to be able to follow the little spec that is you whilst constantly updating for other units. The helicopter has a response time, if you are comitting crimes and know that the LSPD might have a helicopter up, would it not be smarter to plan for this?

So I want to step in here and say something about the continuous usage of "The LSPD abuses the helicopter, no IRL department could do this." As someone who is not a member of LEO RP in this community at present. I really do hate to step in and be the one to say that if the LSPD were to follow what the department they are based on does, then they should have 2 helicopters active, at all times of the day. The LAPD are a department that call for an Airship at any time they think it might be needed, you'd also do well to assume that the helicopter isn't taking off just for you, it's already patrolling and responding to calls. If anything, be happy the LSPD has the decency to not be the LAPD who can legally land to make arrests.

All you need to do is have fun roleplaying realistically. Realism just means we're grounded in the realms of reality, it doesn't mean you need to one to one copy things, it can be your own take that makes it fun for you, it should simply be believable and realistic.

This would make your racing easier yes, but on a roleplay server that is entirely a non issue. This is an RP server, not a racing server a script that essentially allows you to metagame the track rather than having your character learn about it properly is not needed. On top of that, whilst you've tried to argue your points adding something like this would encourage the people who do racing poorly (Theres a lot of them, always has been.) to expand their circuits into the city and more populated areas because all of a sudden their circuit is marked on the map. This isn't NFS or Midnight club, no.

Nope, people can't even roleplay searches properly now, why would something be added that would circumvent RP and allow people to treat this like some kind of mugging/robbery simulator.

Iirc /walk is already a thing if it's not then it's something like anim walk. It looks stupid as hell but it'll walk you in a straight line. As for the walk styles that's something that would need to be modded and is likely not going to be seen as a priority at this time
