  1. Someone take Raamis' gun away from him. Great video boys, keep on raising the bar.
  2. Good Morning, I found this gem a little over a year ago and wanted to share it with the community. I'll let the website and wiki do most of the explaining but essentially it's a realistic survival experience with a long way to go in development, but already feature rich. I suggest checking the roadmap out on their main site below to see what is to come. https://www.vintagestory.at/ I specifically play in a community called Vintage Civ which offers a free form multiplayer experience. The goal is to let the players establish cities and cultures in-game and dictate the rules of the server, full scale PVP is allowed with minimal protections (no land claiming, just block re-enforcement). All are welcome to join us or just buy and play the game in single player. https://www.vintageciv.com/ Here is a link to the newly released trailer for the server as well, new iteration starts May 27th! If anyone has questions, feel free to hit me up. I'm pretty knowledgeable on the game.
  3. I can't tell if you're trolling here but, in the United States of America, people own guns. You can literally purchase them from Walmart in most places across the US. To them, owning a gun is a right and they exercise it freely and often. Therefore this entire post makes no sense unless you're purely talking about truck drivers purchasing guns illegally. Which I still disagree with, but I would recommend if you're going to RP a legal truck driving character, you put in the effort to obtain a PF license to purchase guns legally before switching over to the black market to find an illegal firearm.
  4. My apologies DasFroggy, I wasn't sure if I would de-rail things if I got into specific ideas. But yes, if something like lifting the limit was implemented, there would need to be equally or even more harsh consequences for the criminals committing the crimes, that's a given. Things like increased jail time, possible CK scenario's (for both players) or whatever it might be.
  5. Sounds like this is a script issue. Furniture should be purchased using stored bank funds, not on hand cash. I've always been a fan of more hardcore mechanics to help make illegal role-play more serious. This opens up tons of avenues and actually forces both illegal role-players & legal role-players, to think smart. Rules should be used to force realistic role-play. The fact you carry around 100k on your character is hilarious to me because who the fuck carries around 100k on their person? Nobody unless they're committing crime and that's not your fault. You do it because the furniture script requires you to do it. I also imagine this rule exists to protect noob players, my advice, don't play a game that's meant to simulate life if you can't handle the harsh realities that come with it.
  6. It's sad to see so many people responding with the general "let the admins deal with it". A server that runs itself with minimal administrator intervention should be the goal here. While the original poster did a horrible job getting his point across, he / she is correct. The lack of hardcore systems in grand theft auto role-play (this server and past servers, but because let's face it, they're a carbon copy of each other with minor differences) has in my opinion led to the breeding of sub-par role-players who will never change because the server caters to them instead of forcing them out / forcing them to change their take on role-play. Without going into a rant, you make more unforgiving rules (sort of like how PD has introduced serious IC sentences for IC crime) and people will either adjust or quit. Either way, it's a win because from what I've seen in my ten years of role-playing is that the people who cry about it being unfair or it's too hardcore to be CK'd for any reason are the same players who use PKs as a cop out of their IC actions. Make real consequences for players and they will in turn react with real fear. And to touch on the current "CK app" system. It places way to much trust in the ability of the administration team which is far from perfect and the system is easily corruptible with OOC motives / favoritism.

    New Drug System

Short description: In short, this system will create a real flow of drugs within the server that makes the drug trade both profitable and much more realistic to role-play in. Detailed description: https://docs.google.com/document/d/10_VTpoahYGDcHFuN_lT8pvLso6Od_G1HsjGx43g7i8E/edit Commands to add: (I think we would tackle this if the idea was accepted) Items to add: None for now. How would your suggestion improve the server? Refer to the google doc, it summarizes all this. Additional information: Thanks for reading, and I look forward to the communities feedback as this is a very touchy subject and in my opinion there is no perfect fix for the drug system. This is simply what I think the best avenue is.
