I used to RP 90% of the time in the county back in 2020-2021, literally spent close to a 1000hr of my playtime there. And I remember the same old shit, same old talks and topics from back then. Even 4 years ago, Sandy was a mix of both legal and illegal RP, which mostly was, well, illegal. There were several great factions that did both, they brought amazing balance to County RP. I don't remember what they were called anymore, one of them was led by an admin and had rednecks and stuff, there was church RP that even I did with them, and I know absolutely nothing about religion, but said people and players led my character IC to visit the church with them. There were cafes, diners, lots of cool things. Moonshiners and what not. It was never just illegal. And I mean, I started to play in the county as a MEXICAN homeless guy. Who ended up joining an MC and whatever happened later. I was legal/illegal at the same time, and there were no issues. Even currently, I still RP around the county. I've never been met with an issue. I don't know where and what or how do you get into so much "shit" in the county. I literally got robbed in my first 15min around the city a few days ago, and this morning some mallrats which turned the Mission Row bank into pizza stacks were bashing my car for literally no reason, basically trolling. As someone with almost 2000hr spent in the server, most of it coming from county RP - i do not understand. I really, really don't. Now, I haven't been around for too long currently, but it seems like things are the same as they used to be, just seems like less active in general (activity and business wise). And people who say, county is this, that, infested with this, that - c'mon. Back then the county was ran by predominantly 1%'er MC's and had skinheads, rednecks and a whooooole bunch of shit you didn't wanna mess with, neither as a regular illegal character, neither as a legal city player. There were MC wars, Mongols vs Vagos all around, we had Grim Order vs Vagos, then Sinners vs Grim, skinheads, hell we even had Davis people coming down with pimped out vans and jeeps coming to shoot "the rednecks for a lick". Mallrats and city folk a lot of time came down to troll the absolute shit out of "rednecks, hillbillies and broke people", I'm saying that as someone who used to run a business there. We had it go all ways. I was robbed multiple times by people in cars that belong in Nurburgring. Spinning it around, I was also robbed and touched by the locals. So, are people actually pushing "legal RP" back or is it just that maybe, just maybe - it's the players fault? Things never changed. Nothing ever really happened. Robbing is still there, illegal shit is still there, and you know what, I'll say it. I think currently there is much less illegal activity in the county than it was back then. But that's just my opinion. I can't see a solid reason behind the upset of so many people, honestly. And i've done both legal and illegal RP around the county. At one point I had a German legal character with a PF license working as a security guard, and I had literally 0 issues with anyone. No one minded. Shit, I think I had even better RP from that character with locals than when I had a real redneck character, but maybe that's just the style of RP that changed or w/e. It ain't the "factions" and it's not the "illegals are bad". Upsetting or not, I think it could be just that - the players fault. It's RP. You get shit on as a legal character? Find a way out.

I've had a Bison loaded with unmasked Italian RPers robbing me at the side of the road as I was RPing a crash in the desert... In a rusty Emperor that costs less than their guns. I'd say their portrayal is dogshit but then again what do you expect, its a desert, everyone is an easy target there.

Just use SweetFX, you can pretty much overhaul the game with it.

We are locked in this tiny little world. And the dead stand between us like wraiths. Sokol is a 35 year old ex-fixer and a handyman from Albania who moved to the States in 2019 with his sister to establish a new life after he was fed up with the life back there. Worked as a full time mechanic, specializing in car electronics and as a side job; Part-time fixer for some of his friends. His sister sadly passed away in an apartment fire last winter. Sokol has been on a decline for awhile that includes and is not limited to; Occasional drug usage. Alcohol. Gambling. Reckless driving under influence. He is now turning his life around by settling in a brand new apartment, on the other side of the city, further away from where memories keep eating him up. Sobering up and getting back to work, he's still broke and has to pinch pennies, paycheck to paycheck. Sometimes he has money. Sometimes he doesn't. Sokol is a simple man. He doesn't necessarily need a pile of cash, but he thinks it would definitely not hurt to have it. Most of the time he simply thinks on how "good" it was to be a fixer back in his twenties, having at least... Some sort of "stable income". But that time is past, no more of that... "Imagine living with nothing much, but that's enough to keep your head above the water? Tell me you don't want something bigger and better. You are a liar. The world will decline you." Certainly broke, but hopeful and positive. He's got problems, but he's taking care of them - so, no stress. "I got this, definitely man." The thread will flow along the tales, adventures, routine, horrors and everything else that will come Sokols way. Grew up on the "streets" and graduated high school with a diploma. Further on worked as a mechanic and honed his skills around electronics that were quite new back in eighties and nineties. Was tangled in small-time criminal activities as a side-job. mostly taking the role of a "fixer" that arranges things for others. That earned him additional cash that did not show up on his accounts and that he was free to spend wherever. Nearing thirty five he and his sister decided to move away to America so they can work the same jobs, or something better, but with much higher life quality. Overally being much more wealthier and more established. Months after moving to Santos he was already working as a mechanic near his rented apartment, earning money that was enough for everything in his eyes. His sister died in an apartment fire; Possible arson. Case dismissed. Sokol was fired due to "Not carrying out job duties; Unnotified absence, regular; Under influence while on shift". He began spending his savings on; Drugs, alcohol, gambling and more stuff he does not necessarily need. After some time a breaking point happened and he quit being a lowlife. Trying to better himself up and get back to being "established". He's got a long way to go, but it'll be fine.

I barely play anyway nowadays, guess it's time to say I'm done with the server.
