  1. Holy shit I never knew about this. A whole new town, more real estate, unique interactions. Imagine getting this inputted. Yes!
  2. Gallant isn't wrong, there. Check for a fellow named Howard Penkins, he's a licensed and experienced pilot!
  3. @DigitalSausage basically said what I was unable to find the words to describe to, including the "general rule" thing about heads and tails. This is the 50/50 approach. Rolling a dice, and grading it appropriately to "how bad" or "how well" the action goes is a fairer alternative that I use only for more.. "complicated" role play situations, when things are very delicate or important for both parties. It increases odds for both party. If it ties at 5, you call for a re-roll or simply decide to abort the action attempted. A yes/no system shouldn't be dependant on anything automated.. But 100% a simple "Reply with YES or NO." type system. If you went to an automated "by luck of the draw"-system.. A 170lb character could "realistically" take down a 300lb heavyweight by getting lucky.
  4. I often use them in situations where a person is being directly influenced or physically touched by my character. For example when performing a search for dangerous items on a person, and they had a switchblade on them.. I then would ask them where it's hidden. As a switchblade is generally very thin of design it can be hidden away properly, where you wouldn't feel it when patting someone down over layer(s) of clothing. /b Are you OK with flipping a coin to see if I'd feel the indentation of the switchblade hidden in your character's right sock? I'll go with tails. Flip a coin, see if you find it or not, continue role play. The yes or no function would be great though as it lets the player choose instead of having the "luck of the draw" from flipping a coin.
  5. Hey, people call me paranoid too - I'm with you brother. If well regulated we'll all benefit from this.
  6. So will Bobcat. Bobcat's always there for you. ❤️
  7. Limiting the ABILY TO PERFORM A ROBBERY to factions can be discriminating to well-organized private groups or individuals who want to roll a cash truck or attempt a robbery 'on a whim', which sadly happens in real life more then planned ones. I'm involved with CIT very closely and want nothing more but for our line of work to expand and enhance the community with new RP scenarios, but limiting to factions only may cause problems. I'd personally opt for something like the breakin request system.. But then the person(s) doing the robbery need to show proof of: - creating a game plan for a heist. - logistical prep for said heist. - IC motivation (how did you learn of the transport and its details/contents, how is the robbery meant to go down, is it realistic, ...) These three factors will be very challenging for staff to verify on-the-fly. It'd be best if all persons involved in the robbery are forced to prepare and present a full plan to show to the handling admin, so said person doesn't need to dig for 20 minutes before approving it. The cash refilling of ATMs should be EXCLUDED from the 'approval requirement' as it's often a crime of opportunity in the moment.. It should also allow players to use explosives or other means (tons of RP options) to steal from / dismantle an ATM machine. We don't per se need the guards to get shot up - once the cash is dropped, rob the machine, not the people. Though both are great fun and very welcome, even if only to spice things up. Just some food for thought. Love.
