  1. Love your work. Would love to see an example of the clothing source for your manipulations. Are they photos of irl clothing or 3D renders?
  2. How is this any different than the note system allowing pictures for menu's or posters? You could literally apply your comments to that concept as well. Some people like to see or read what an item looks like. Also, when did giving feedback mean you have to put the original poster down? Or call out if they have an imagination. It may not be your cup of tea but that doesn't mean it's not someone else's. You can give your opinion without making negative comments about other people's opinions and ideas.
  3. This is still rp, the seller can put a text description of things that don't fit in the name.
  4. I literally mean like the way the note system works.
  5. It's not forced on them. It's just the option if the seller wants to add a description or IMG like the notes.
  6. Short description: Add the ability to set a description or picture link when you create an item that players can see when they /viewitem. Basically what the note system does but applied to created items in the server. Detailed description: The short desc covers it. Commands to add: Add an addition step when creating an item where you can put in text or picture link. Add /viewitem that will show this. Originally I thought /useitem would work but that actually uses the item if it's food. Items to add: None How would your suggestion improve the server? This would improve immersion but also make it so that businesses selling mods that aren't actual IG Items can give an IG item that corresponds to the out of game mod and uses the component system like other created items. Additional information: N/A
  7. As it is now the RGB menu doesn't work for some with resolutions bigger than 1080p. For me I can't move the sliders to select the color and then have to restart the whole game to exit out of it. This new system looks great!! Thank you so much for your work!
  8. If this was 100% rp there would be no script money. You'd make a character and rp befitting that character BUT this server does require script money if you want a house, car, business etc so in respect there is some need for time/grind or paying irl money for perks in order to set up a character just to rp how you want to. The owness should be on players being accountable for keeping it realistic, not needing a scripted tax/restriction system to force accountability. Honestly, and this is my opinion not a discussion topic, we need less script restrictions and more freedom to just... Not rp with ppl who are being unrealistic. You'd need a lot less admin moderation If players took accountability and you just said "if you don't agree with an outcome you can 1. Come to a realistic compromise of events. 2. Roll for the outcome. 3. Void the scene and not rp with each other." Eventually players who are more about winning and being the "hero" than developing stories and characters either leave because no one wants to rp with them or they find a niche group that fits their rp style.
  9. This is an RP community. The goal is to RP. The point of the 200k is so that people can focus on doing just that and developing their character/getting involved rather than grinding script jobs. We already have IG taxes that come out. Personally I don't think forcing script restrictions for a niche group who want a life Sim is the way to go. If you want to play that way then charity whatever you think makes sense every month. If you think portrayal of characters are unreasonable and affecting the heavy rp factor of the server then report them. Heavily do not support this.
  10. Short description: Turn interior lights on and off. Detailed description: A command to turn interior lights on and off. Commands to add: /lights on and /lights off Items to add: N/A How would your suggestion improve the server? Would allow for more immersion and possibly show when someone has been inside your interior if they left the lights on. Nothing major. Additional information: Not sure if this can be done but I saw the below and thought it might be doable. https://wiki.rage.mp/index.php?title=Entity::setLights
  11. Secondly, The mechanic menu. Seriously... How is there not a way to go back in the menu?
  12. I am surprised this wasn't the first thing mentioned. The ad system!!!!!! I realize that bad is how you make your money but the system is aweful. 1. Make it qued so that ppl don't have to spam for ten mins WITH plat donator during peak hours. It can expire after 15/30 mins depending on donator status. 2. Make it a list in you phone and not a global text push so ppl can pull it up and scroll through and then instead of a blip on the map it puts it on your GPS if you select it. It's unrealistic to have it in the text area and if you toggle it off like I do there's no alternative way IG to see what's open since the blip names are limited. I guess if you still need a perk to charge for make the option to get the GPS coordinates for plat?
  13. @Oggy I realize this thread is for links to mods but I thought the below was very relevant to this thread. Given that this clothing update is only doable when we move to 1.1, wouldn't a short term solution be to just replace some of the unusable clothing options like the monster legs and such since replacement dlc's are obviously doable? This goes for hairs as well, there are a lot of trash ones that don't get used or even if they do it's because there aren't better options. Also, the number of models is limited but you can still add more textures to existing models. This is actually fairly easy to do as well and even just additional color options would enhance the experience immensely. Not to mention there are still decal slots that you could use to add more objects using the method that soupiest devised with that pack. I'm sure there are plenty of people in this community, myself included, that would happily go through and collect the object info using openiv or even create the dlc packs if the server was actually going to use them.
  14. I'm pretty much going to echo a lot of people here but the key really is, what are you interested in? Racing, working on cars, law enforcement, organized crime? There are a lot of things you can do on the server. That said there are also limitations such as time zones, already established factions, game mechanics etc so sometimes it takes a bit of reading the forums and networking IG to really get a feel for what your viable options are. Personally I would also advise you to decide what kind of roleplayer you are. Some people roleplay a character similar to themselves and do things they can't do IRL. Some people enjoy creating storylines, all different kinds of characters and being very immersed in the development. What are you looking for? Do you want to just meet people and play a game socially? Are you here for serious immersion? It's a heavy rp server but I feel that the level of "seriousness" varies from player to player and between factions so keep that in mind as well. Don't get discouraged. Because people can have varying approaches and opinions on what rp is and how to do it properly you might find some groups more willing to bring you in ICLY/OOCLY than others are. The server really is just trial and error but at the end of the day, it's all development and there are always people around for chance encounters!
  15. This is a roleplay server based on realism but it's counter productive to be so strict as to stop people from creating quality rp based on other people's attempts in the past and IRL demographics in LA. This is not LA, it's Los Santos and people should be able to at least give it a go. Server staff should be facilitating new and interesting rp, coaching it to be improved... Not policing it or straight up shutting it down before it even begins. I think the balance between Realism and letting people have some rp freedom needs to be readjusted. Realism and realistic are not exactly the same thing. Realism is accuracy to irl and realistic is basically making general sense/is believable. Shouldn't we be focusing on the quality of the rp, keeping things realistic to general life rather than setting very specific levels of accuracy?
  16. Those are pretty easy to covert by just changing the textures to fit a base game shirt...
  17. Best thing I've ever seen. Where do I sign up? lol
  18. Time limit is a time limit. If you start making exceptions it's pointless because then ppl just keep throwing bids out. And then where do you draw the line... Oh right, at the clearly set time limit.
  19. If there is a time limit set it is really unfair for someone to put in a bid past that. Defeats the whole process.
  20. If it could be done via a script offer/accept system then I support this idea since it's more fairly based on rp time. However, I really like this new system aside from manual payments. And can you still kick tenants/remove keys without being near them? Otherwise if a player goes inactive how do you remove them? The rental system was unrealistic. It needed this change.
  21. Look at what you literally just said though. That's pretty much saying...force people to higher rp standards because SOME people want it. If people aren't choosing to do it..why is it being changed? And again, if server rp standards aren't being met..report it.
  22. I'm all for being positive about change and trying to find reasonable middle ground so here is what I would suggest to make this more doable for the server. Give garages the option of what they want to offer. If there are garages that want to restrict their rp to heavy rp and have script enforcement for it. They can ask for it. If people don't want to rp that level of restriction, they choose not to. Middle ground. If you don't take the amount of work making this system into consideration as a factor for or against this.
