  1. Yes of course, thank you for bringing that up. So, if we were to look from this point of view from a realistic perspective, you do not have people visit casinos, nightclubs, and or other venues with your illegal firearm. At least, the larger group of people would not do that. Now from a GTA:W perspective and why there are so many security gates, is because last year venue owners got sick and tired of people coming in their nightclubs and the slightest “disrespect” cause a shooting or stabbing. Then you had an entire 30-45 minute admin scene where the whole club is paused. This is not good for business aswell as your reputation as a business. Yes, this might be seen as overkill, but it had been proven to be effective. The number of times I have seen people leave as soon as they saw the security gates is actually insane. But this also means that you as security guard can filter out the trouble-makers and those who are seriously trying to enjoy their night. Yes, we are allowed to run a hand detector, but it is scriptwisely not possible to get an actual beep or even /frisk, because its locked behind LEO script. Yes, most clubs/venues do allow CCW holders to enter without issues. I hope this clarifies the reasoning behind it for you.
  2. You're absolutely right, it has been by far the most fun roleplay I ever had. The different character you get to experience and the stupidity of some characters makes it unique. And I wish that armed guards were not a necessity, we all know (those veterans) that last year around this time, we didn't even have the tasers and baton options yet. I'm really glad that this has been added, however, the controversial behavior of who gets it and who doesn't, is what bothers me. Overall, I don't like the ''open-carry'' requirements at all, both for in-private property and out-of-private property neither and it is more a psychological deterrent rather than actual use. But unfortunately, being an unarmed guard in Los Santos is suicide.
  3. @Parade I think you've been in the wrong ''private'' security sector if you get little to nothing paid. Perhaps you should explore other companies or factions if you had this little pay that is also in security. I won't name companies/businesses/factions here, but the tip I can give you is to keep an eye on advertisements in the game.
  4. Hey all! For those who have been in security, are in security, or are looking to get into security, I want to share some positives and negatives. And why I think it is still to this day, the best ''side/main'' job you can have as a legal or illegal character. I've been in security roleplay on multiple characters, and still am to this day, starting in 2020. I want to share my perception of the good and the bad, as well as some general concerns that I have. Let me share my journey! Of course, like most people, I was invited by my friends to play on GTA:World (2020) and immediately had a ''group'' of friends I surrounded my character with, for me, that was DJ LeCamp at the time, my friendship turned into a full-time job as being his personal security detail while he was out and about doing his sets in nightclubs or official venues. A few weeks later I managed to turn my security detail into an unofficial faction, having a group of over 10 people, and we were being asked to provide club security, with success. During my peak time running this unofficial faction, I caught the attention of the San Andreas State Security Department and got approached to apply for a position there. I had combined my State Security character with the personal detail company that I ran, but unfortunately, a couple of months after they had merged with the LSPD and became H-Platoon. Now, I believe that having State Security was much more unique and provided a lot more roleplay and privacy. State Security was barely publically known, only a few ''players'' knew of its existence alongside official LEO factions of course. Anyway, my point is, after this so-called 'merge'' a lot of us went our separate ways. Some were in Arcani and others (like myself) started going back to their old ways of providing ''private'' personal details again. So how do I find my way into security? What if I want to experience different security roleplay? You've probably seen security companies pop up everywhere, some provide property and alarm patrols, others provide event security, and other security companies just exist for self-benefit and or are never heard of, and then there's this minuscule group of security divisions/companies that provide personal detail services. Also known as '' bodyguards''. If you want to start in security, you should try to find what best fits your character and where your interests lie the most. For starters, I would advise you to be part of a more ''known'' security company and get experience by doing ''basic'' security work, such as property patrols and event attendances. This means that you get the overall experience of what it is like to be a security guard and you learn how to deal with players who like to misbehave or generally rambo their way in an event past every possible security gate by saying '' I have a medical hip replacement''. More than likely if you're doing a good job at your 'basic'' security firm, you often get approached by others to also work for them, that is how you properly develop your character and character revenue. The biggest difference in security is, is whether you're working for a publically known company or are hired privately by a company. This also includes payment increases and decreases. If you're working for a public security company, this often means that the jobs are provided by the company you're working for, which is how you generate your income. If you're working in the private security sector, you're often under a ''faction'' pay and regardless of the number of jobs you work, you gain a paycheck. So? How do you get the most out of a security character then? What if I like to do it all? Well, the answer is simple, you can apply for double-faction permissions which means that you're either working for x and the next day for x. This not only gives you weekly set revenue, but it also allows you to work extra, for example, to buy that new car you so desperately want and improve your character development. What are in my opinion the pros and cons of working for public security companies? + The company provides you with jobs that you can sign up for, generating as much revenue as you possibly want per week. + You're often under a faction, which allows direct access to tasers, body armor, batons, and security vehicles with ''wee-woo lights''. + They often guide you through the process of getting a PF and GC. + They're not so dependent on a few people, these factions often have over 15/20 members. + Possibility to grow within your faction. +/- Often you're dealing with a higher hierarchy. +/- If you make a mistake, it reflects on the company, not directly on you. - You're doing the most basic of basic work for the minimal possible wage. - You're often on gate security, collecting fees, and dealing with ''hip replacement'' people who have firearms on them. - Many inexperienced colleagues you cannot depend on to act appropriately in situations you need them the most, often they do not have a GuardCard. - Not all public security companies want you working for other security companies, private or not. What are in my opinion the pros and cons of working for a private security company/division? + Set weekly faction pay. + Possibility to ''double-faction''. + Experience unique security factions and duties. (ex. personal detail, private investigations, private residences/business security) + Ability to extend outside of your comfort zone, such as public appearances. + You earn more money per week, per revenue, per deployment. +/- Less hierarchy. +/- Dealing with Shaft Act, PF, GC, and CCW regulations in public. - More than often are not granted body armor, tasers, batons, or security vehicles with ''wee-woo lights''. - The possibility to grow is often only up until senior or supervisor because most spots above are faction leaders. - No access to faction clothing menu. There are probably more cons and or pros, if any of you want to share some, please do. This is mainly from my personal experience. Concerns with security roleplay. More than often security guards are the laughing matter of LEOs (Not all LEOs) and are often underestimated in their capabilities and or duties. You do not only witness this from LEO factions, but as well from customers. However, what many people don't realize is that without security at clubs, venues, and or others, is that the crime rates increasingly spike and it generally results in shootings, stabbings, and or massive brawls in your properties. Let alone the admin reports and an entire club being paused for 30-45 minutes because of some ''gang'' related stuff happening, that nobody asked for. I always say that gate security is the most important and boring job there is as a security guard, but without them, you can't possibly open your venue without any issues (7/10 times). My next concern is mainly in private security and without bashing, I believe that a player should be aware of this before looking into private security. Last year changes were made in the Shaft Regulation Act that allow security guards to open carry their firearms in public buildings (ex. Shaft listed ones) but with the only rule of having 'visible security clothing', which means that you need to either wear a factionalized custom uniform or you have to choose in between a kevlar vest or a thug looking ''security'' jacket. Now, what is the issue with this from my perspective? If you're doing a private detail and attending high-value venues and whatnot, you don't come up showing in body armor, instead, you wear suits. Which brings us to the next problem. You can only conceal carry with a suit, this requires you to have a CCW. However, the LSPD refuses to accept '' personal detail work/security'' as a reason to obtain a CCW, even if you list your position within a certain company or not. Instead, you need to make up about 5-10 situations that never happened, how you feared for your life, and then get to the exam part. Another thing that players should be aware of is that they're more than likely not to be granted access to body armor, etc if they're in a legal faction, with a security division. This to me is weird because I can name x number of examples where it is allowed, but it is a huge downside for some other factions that are not allowed to. Anyway! Let me know what you guys think of the current state of security or perhaps your experiences!
  5. We can do that. Please reach me at my number!
  6. For Sale: Model: Vapid Scout Year: 2020 Miles: 165.00 mi. Insurance: 146 days Asking price: $90,000 Hello all, I am selling my Scout 2020 because I'm interested in another vehicle. I've taken the Scout to a mechanic shop where the ECU has tuned the vehicle to stage 3+. You can feel the power as you're flooring it, being pressed into your seat. The mechanic also installed an anti-theft device and other features on the car. I believe they have removed all the locks and it can only be opened through the keyless entry. I have also let the mechanic install level 1 tints on all windows but the windshield. I'm asking $90,000 for it, I believe this is a reasonable price with this many options. Additionally, the vehicle has new tires and has a recent oil and filter service. So that shouldn't be an issue soon anymore. If you're interested in buying the vehicle, leave me a comment on this advertisement or call me directly at Ph; 1172131
  7. I agree with you from a roleplay perspective though, don't get me wrong. But GTA:W isn't that advanced with scripts on vehicles. If we go back in time and we look at MTA, especially OwlGaming, tuning was ''cosmetics'' only for the regular players. Then if you wanted to lower your vehicle, you had to order the actual part through a parts shop, pay the actual price of it, and then get a complete chatlog of the modifications done which is later reviewed by an admin, then once accepted, you report for the change and it's being individually added to each vehicle. But then again, car models were much more different. If you bought a Sultan, you had a top speed of 146, compared to the speed of a modded Sultan at 250 for example that had an installed turbocharger. This is why I've always been a huge supporter of having individual vehicle modifications. It would bring back proper roleplay and proper chatlogs, and it would add a team of admins. But it seems like GTA:SA scripts were more advanced for some reason, unfortunately.
  8. As the former owner(s) of Auto Exotic, this has been an issue for the longest time I can remember. However, this is an issue for the client, not the garage. Yes, you should provide detailed roleplays of doing certain modifications. But the biggest issue is not having enough individuals working at an open garage. Most of the time there are only 1 or 2 mechanics, and then when vehicles stack up, they rush the roleplay to get orders through. But when there are too many mechanics clocked in, you won't earn 10-12k per order, which every mechanic knows. 1. If they just tell you to do ''wheels please'', you should report it to an administrator, this is powergaming. 2. You're suggesting a longer period for a customer to wait per order, however, I would advise you to stop ''installments'' jobs of an entire turbo kit and or transmission and simply roleplay this as a vehicle ECU tune, something we have done for years at Auto Exotic. 3. ''Huge projects'' are almost always done with special tuner garages, for example, racing teams. This is not something that the ''general'' player base should care about, neither should the regular mechanics opening shop. 4. You're referencing a ''waiting time'', however, most garages don't have the space to hold this many cars for this many hours. Let alone the IC contracts and insurance policies a garage needs to have when their vehicle gets damaged or stolen, which falls under your responsibility. If you want some tips on how we ran Auto Exotic to improve roleplay, we built a website where we logged every plate of every customer, we reported each modification done to a vehicle, and the customers could always come back to request their vehicle history or get more information on a vehicle they had just purchased. As for your suggestions listed below. 1. Mechanic garages are literal money farmers, we earned over 2 million in the first opening week. 2. Unfortunately, for the rest of your suggestions on having a ''waiting time'' is simply not possible, because it is still a game, for example; Prisoners get processed at MRS, then when they relog they're suddenly in the correctional facility, instead of being transported. The same goes for many other things. Also, it happens a lot when a mechanic ''suddenly'' needs to log off, meaning that there's no work being done to the car, and I am unable to /vg it for 4 hours. 3. Group up with other roleplayers providing car parts as their main business, start selling dashcams, winter tires, little mirror trees, you get the idea. I wouldn't change anything about garages at the moment, instead, start providing more roleplay such as car washes, and offer such extensive roleplay in a way of '' detailing cars ''. Best of luck though, but I don't support the suggestion. -1 Yes, unfortunately, we don't have the MTA from GTA:SA to make custom vehicles yet. If this system was actually in GTA:W, then you would have to provide roleplay logs of you doing each modification to a vehicle and you then received custom handling on that car.
  9. This needs to be the new standard. Love it.
  10. Been with you since my first day on world, I'll see it through till the end. Keep it up brother.
  11. Hello all, I'm not too sure where this should be posted but I am in a leading position for Public Works and we come across a whole variety of vehicles that need to be impounded and or replaced. It's no secret that there are big vehicles being used and this is a challenge for us to load onto the flatbed. With bigger vehicles they totally bug out on the flatbed and from a realistic stand-point it wouldn't ever fit. We also receive a lot of county calls where a flatbed wont be able to recover vehicles. Yes, the ideal dream would be to have a wrecker extension to the sandstorm XL >:D We have some amazing models in game already for public services, but at the moment I feel like the wrecker is totally forgotten. We desperately need this. I honestly only have this reference that would make most sense and easiest: https://www.lcpdfr.com/downloads/gta5mods/vehiclemodels/9404-police-towtruck/
  12. Personally, I am a park ranger and would love to see the exterior kit become a bit cheaper to improve hunting/fishing roleplay. I believe with an addition to this, it will benefit a whole lot of people.
