  1. On the behalf of apartments, it might be a better route to just add more apartments to each block if RAGE can handle such a thing? I know some will argue "Oh that building doesn't have that many rooms" but if it's an argument between a realistic amount of floors inside of Integrity, and helping to ensure that more people have a place to stay I think the latter takes priority. I think two as a limit is fine, helps criminals and allows for property renting outside of companies. Though I do agree that taxing should be a thing, especially increased for properties beyond the first. It would naturally discourage people from sitting on properties, ESPECIALLY if they're not making any money from it.

  3. This is actually a real good idea and further expands on @Woltrazz's suggestion.
  4. Oh boy I bet the admins are going to love dealing with the massive amounts of drama these discussions are going to cause if it was ever enforced. Does there need to be more consequence for crashes, racing or not? For sure, but I even if people were in agreement I don't think the staff here, or whoever it would fall to would ever want to have to deal with the fall out of such situations. The other thing that needs to be kept in mind is that beyond desync (Which still exists if someone's internet is poor, or their PC lags) and other bugs or OOC errors that can occur it's just simply difficult to keep track of which accidents would qualify. Not everything is seen, recorded and tracked. You would end up with punishments being handed out to some but not others.
  5. I've hardly seen any issues. The only one I've experienced is people getting stuck in the fighting stance. But I think that's down to stealth being disabled, you can't use it to reset the animation.

  8. Please also keep in mind this isn't entirely about making profit for the business owners. You say pay less, you say it's realistic and sure, that happens. But cutting players out of the jobs to keep the business afloat isn't generally that enticing for anyone, it just means less people to interact with on a broader scope. You want to provide a pleasant IC and OOC atmosphere for people to RP in, which means drawing in more people (staff included). Regardless, I think arguably the issue partially comes down to things being approached with a "One size fits all" mentality. Something like a cafe needs higher entry reward per person, a nightclub can potentially deal with lower as they will have more people showing up. Equally, you have inconsistencies with paying people. Some places are paying their bar staff, or security with their own cash, whilst others can cover those same wages with a business script (or even potentially pay on top of it) which can really skew where profit lays. Just please remember that one of the key goals is to generate RP. People are spending their free time on GTA:W, they don't want to spend that working a job that pays pennies, they don't always want the stress of running a business that is on the brink of collapse. While I am not saying to make it super easy, there is a balance to strike. Cutting staff should be an option to avoid in RP, and you will often here complaints on businesses which staff at a minimum, it removes some people from RP, slows the scenes down and adds stress to those who remain. Incoherent rambling I know.

  10. 200IQ that's a genius suggestion.
  11. I beg you, as a muscle lover please.
  12. They usually work for me, but I've had it be a buggy pos. A dedicated GTA:W option would be hot.
  13. You give the example that the cop player will be better than the gangbanger, I assume because cops have training days, which will help them in their learning, whilst gangbangers may use their firearms less often. Cool, makes sense really... But what if that cop player makes a new character as a criminal? Well now he's good and might be a ton better than the cops. A crosshair doesn't make shooting skilled, it's PvP regardless of whether there's a crosshair. Having one doesn't provide you with perfect aim, and you will still have all of the same issues regarding skill difference and poor RP.
  14. You could argue a rule like this might help in regards of ensuring any extortion was handled better, sending in enough people that even if the owner has CK perms and a gun, he'd feel intimidated into playing along. Regardless I don't think this suggestion is a good one, I think the core idea that there is little consequence for extorting is true. Ultimately if things go really wrong for the extorting party they might get locked up for what... A month top OOC? There's really no reason not to blindly extort businesses. I think it's about encouraging things to he handled intelligently, perhaps encouraging illegal groups to extort less businesses for higher amounts due to needing to maintain pressure. We shouldn't be hunting means to ensure legal players remain entirely safe from illegal aspects, but we should be trying to OOCly protect the players from getting too heavily punished when they are not actively sinking themselves into trouble. CKs for players who try to get police help on an extortion case seems like just that, punishing players who have been dragged into an awful situation whilst not offering all too much consequence to the players who actively seek higher risk situations.
