  1. name: person Comment: there's nothing morally wrong about 18 year olds drinking because where I'm from it's legal and it was made illegal from pressure from public political groups but legally there's got to be something wrong with them managing nightclubs. Maybe also something with security. Also, I'd like to know what kind of experience these young adults have, because you definitely need either a great management education background or running a successful company since you were 12. Good on EA for everything except the stuff I mentioned. Hopefully it goes smoothly. New heads comes with fresh ideas and energy, two of the most important things in business management.
  2. I wouldn't even suggest playing minecraft with specs like that. in all seriousness, the best you could do is boot up GTA and that's it.
  3. I'm pretty sure there's no rap slang that's so commonly used in Toronto or originated from Toronto that it can be classified as Toronto slang. If you want slang that's commonly heard, just use the modern rap/gang slang and that's good enough. The only slang I've actually heard used, is Battri which is just a girl used in an orgy and Sweeterman which is also commonly used everywhere. It's pretty simple to RP someone from Toronto, it's just: -Hate TTC -Hate Go Transit -Gatekeep how people pronounce Toronto -Complain about the 401, 407, QEW and other major highways
  4. I was pretty surprised to see this because I've almost never seen anyone try to RP as from Toronto, they just say Canada and move on. From my personal experience living here for my entire life, most of what's said in this guide is true. There's a couple nitpicks however. Firstly, Canada doesn't have a federal global minimum wage, that's all decided by the provincial government because one living experience in a province can be extremely different from another. Ontario currently has a minimum wage of 14 CAD/Hour. Secondly, I wouldn't say we're just known for the Raptors and Drake, but mainly because we're the biggest city in all of Canada in terms of population, the capital of Ontario and is way too commonly thought as the capital of Canada (Ottawa is the capital), also with our old mayor being a crack head. Toronto is big city with not only god knows how many condos and residential areas, but also almost every major Canadian business has their HQ set up in Toronto. Previously they were mainly in Montreal, however with the severe increase in Quebec separatism from Canada in the early 80s with two referendums, almost all major businesses moved to Toronto, almost identical to how it happened with Brexit and businesses moving to popular EU countries (Since EU majority playerbase). Thirdly, there's some slang that I've never heard of, and some that's wrong but it doesn't matter much. Fourth, while it is a post about Toronto, I think you should include some things with Canada as well Finally, one thing that I really think you need to include, because this I'm pretty sure this is a gang oriented post, is poverty. Poverty might not be entirely present from outside of Canada, but holy fucking shit, is there a lot of it. This is mainly due to the housing crisis that's strongly affected most of Canada, however in majority the province of British-Columbia and Ontario. Toronto has become extremely expensive to live in for many reasons, however I'm pretty sure the main is due to foreign investment in properties. Houses are commonly 800,000 Cad to the millions, apartments aren't any better. For a single ran down apartment in Toronto, it's average is 1 400 CAD a month in bills and living expenses excluding basis needs like food. When you're in minimum wage, which nets you 2 240$ a month (this is a total based number, I didn't include any kind of taxes on it.), which leaves 840 CAD a month. With the younger generation of people, I struggle to see how you can afford a house without paying off a mortgage while also living comfortably and making payments to other required things (Student debt, other debts, etc.) Poverty in Toronto isn't homelessness, which there's still lots of if you go to certain areas, it's mainly just being able to barely or not even being able to afford your expenses. There's probably more stuff I missed that I'll make another post about later (Like a bunch of areas you've missed.) I'm not that well versed in the gang and criminal side of Toronto almost at all, much more of the standard living, blue and white collar side of things. also you might need to remove Mississauga from Peel Region soon.
  5. Selling my Western Bagger. Mileage is barely there, Odometer puts it at 0.57 miles. Bike's got all the performance upgrades that it can fit with the highest-tier lock money could buy me, upgrades are at minimum 18 thousand in it's own right. It's registered still, expires near the end of the month. With the price of the bike being 42k and the mods being 18k, the bike is worth 60k brand new. Since it's used, I'll put the price at 45k. Feel free to post offers as well.
  6. ill take 4 shipments of the bath water please
  7. This is exactly what I was going to suggest. Sure, technically speaking it could fuck over stuff for criminals and ruin some very minor parts of their RP for robbing it, but the benefits of such a system far outweigh the negatives. However, I think we should get a couple of the active criminal chars to put their opinions on this, but a compromise can definitely be achieved.
  8. I see literally no downsides to this at all. Less combat means less PKs, and proper takedowns means that criminals would actually be punished instead of either receiving a PK or escaping. Non-lethal takedowns also allow for more RP in all situations stemming from it for all sides (police, security, criminal, even property owner depending on the context.) The fact that this isn't already a thing kinda boggles my mind. big boi +1 on another note, I disagree with this price. The card itself costs 10k, and other equipment can lead up to 12k, even more (combat pistol + month limit ammo = 12k). The poor server population, or the extremely frugal, which already spent 20k on equipment and the card might have a big issue spending another 20k. As someone wanting to get into securityRP, and wanting a tazer pretty badly for non-lethal takedowns, I have a bit of a problem spending so much. I feel at maximum, 12k-14k is good, and 10k might be best.
