  1. I'm not entirely sold on this rule because what ended up happening is that this loose rule of allowing car based robberies became the basis of the LC illegal scene and this was extremely troubling and arguably damaged the server severely. Now one can say, "Add limits to it or admin approval," which sounds like a great idea till you remember workload and were back to the drawing board.
  2. The minor just killed two deputies and vanished in mid air. I have fifty thousand food items in my pockets. I can afford said food items without a care in the world. also this happened to me irl
  3. I feel like it is relevant to the thread, and I feel like this way because it doesn't look like both air divisions are on the same page. Becoming an air pilot in PD and being say, in GED, is a big step that requires a lot of training. I would have had to fork money over for a char slot to become an SD pilot but PD don't, policies should be the same and uniformed and if not, readily available to read so the common player can report rule violations so they don't feel like there are any "predatory practices," at play.
  4. After my time in Detective Bureau in SD, yeah, it's a very difficult job because a majority of your evidence comes from testimony and tracing peoples cells and surveillance too. PD/SD doesn't really get any toys like how IRL police departments get the ability to see facebook (facebrowser) accounts or ALPR cameras at intersections which are traditionally used to track what vehicles leave and enter an area. Anyway, I do think that if you want to be an air pilot, it should seriously be on another character.
  5. The game shouldn't be 1:1 or close to 1:1, I do agree, but I'm not sure why you are arguing hypocrisy when the statement I made was an opinion I shared independently for you are effectively trying to lump people together and label them as hypocrites which is just a bad faith argument. It should be noted that every argument is inherently unique and special and not an always us vs them mentality which is severely damaging to the server.
  6. Honestly, I dont care about realism or how much the irl lapd (or sd) is out in the air, factions must accommodate the server and community first than themselves instead of trying to follow preconceived notions of realism like we are an Arma server.
  7. You are going to hate this response but you need to report this kind of behavior. I think the reason why there is bias is down to internal policy because what might be ok with the rules might not be okay internally i.e boxing cars as a deputy, something they are allowed to do ic but banned from doing ooc, if that makes sense? As a member of DAO leadership, I haven't had any reports about us charge stacking since about two months ago. For aero bureau/division, I can't comment. Players can complain as much as they want as within the rules but faction leadership can't deal with anything unless its reported with evidence.
  8. Are there /two/ air units in the skies in that image?
  9. The agreement is literally just in place to define where and how they may lend hand to ma-1 pursuits and where they can patrol and stipulations within. I'm not sure why your acting like this when SD also has a legal agreement with PD because the Sheriff's are also contracted out to major cities for law enforcement when the local police department can't patrol out into the county proper due to a lack of training or manpower. Anyway, point is, the law should change ic to further reflect the faction better and oocly, they should be given more stuff to do.
  10. There is a legal agreement because, for a day, I was about to give feedback on a revised iteration of it with one of the lawyers who wrote it. Furthermore, you are assuming I'm against SAPR but I'm actually for it by giving them responsibilities they deserve, otherwise? Give people (OR SAPR) mechanical things to do in the county and add more properties to existing apartments, this is the issue of RPing in the county, businesses need to be encouraged to be more active there.
  11. I don't necessarily believe that LSPD and LSSD traffic is the same thing. They have differing focuses and mentalities but they are police, meanwhile, SAPR are /Park Rangers/ bound by an agreement with SD in how they are allowed to police the county by law thats enforced IC by the sheriff and director of the parks. The issue is not necessarily they do it, but more so, they are doing things the name isn't fitting for Highway Patrol OR add mechanics-- gameplay to the county.
  12. To be fair though, SAPR already does that. I've seen so many cars on East Joshua Road pulling people to the side. Had the county offer more businesses and property apartments? We'd see more Paleto and Sandy Shores RP, again, I do think offering juicy bonus's for businesses operating in certain areas in the map would do wonders.
  13. The Sheriffs Department does have tiers of corruption, can you elaborate on what you meant a little?
