  1. Just because people a lot of people are drifting away from the OP's point, California doesn't exist in our world and the judicial system or laws for that matter have never been based on California, all of these points are moot. Even if someone wanted to bring up California into this discussion for some reason, I'll reiterate that the death penalty is still a thing in California and people are sent to death row monthly — the only thing occurring in California right now is that there's an executive order merely halting the execution of those death penalties, there's a huge difference. The executive order is not permanent and it could be changed at any point of time, there have still been cases of executions despite the executive order. Anyway, there have been attempts by LFM to shut this down by the same person a few months and I'm not surprised it happened. This sums it up:
  2. It's been a thing since forever, it shouldn't be abolished because someone is OOC'ly offended and doesn't politically agree with it.

  4. I'm not sure, but I'm getting a steady 56-60 FPS on high settings. The only setting I've tweaked was this:
  5. Able to easily run it on high settings on a GTX 1660 Super with a Ryzen 5 3600. Have had no performance issues, but there are definitely a lot of glitches - especially during missions. You could finish an objective and it wouldn't update, and you're basically forced to re-do it hoping it'll work the next time. I may be the only one of this opinion, but I felt like the story wasn't that intriguing and there's just a lot that could've been changed for a more reasonable storyline. I haven't finished the game yet, but it's still extremely fun to play and it's honestly not disappointing. CyberpunkMP when though? 😉

The game gets repetitive if you're trying to solo your way through. The pinnacle of the game in it's current shape essentially depends on whether you're playing with a team of friends who can make it both an interesting and funny experience. What sucks is that the game only has a single developer working on it, which means that updates and new features won't be regular at all. The game will die in a month or two if that doesn't change. But overall? It's a fun game in my experience, can be addicting as well.

  10. Stay on-topic, guys. Our harshest outlined punishments in the penal code were added at the time under guidance by Nervous (afaik) and it's not something that we'd really want to touch on at this phase. There is a lot to consider before you want to enact any harsher sentencing; perhaps the fact that our prison system (without fault to anyone) simply lacks interaction and roleplay - forcing someone off their character for weeks and months on end is not going to improve roleplay quality, that's just a hoax. To stay on-topic, though. State legislature isn't really meant to be part of the JSA's purview, it's just part of the fact that we lack a state legislature cabinet and the fact that it would be hard and almost useless establishing a functioning one that can spend all the time in the world to discuss whether a charge should be bumped up or down. If you feel like jail sentences should be much harder, I advise you to create a new discussion topic since this isn't something that is single-handedly decided by the JSA. This topic is to share your experiences and concerns about the system itself, not whether we should have harsher or more lenient sentencing.

  12. My response was not targeted specifically towards you or anyone in that regard, but it's a response to a lot of arguments that have been made in this topic (check for yourself)! Although, and as I mentioned in my original post — I agree with you, there should be a universal system to prevent people from abusing this system if they go over the line. Requesting fees below the real life standard does not harm this server in any shape or form and medical fees shouldn't be doubled x10 because our economy is different.
  13. I am not exactly sure as to why anyone is making the argument that roleplaying medical fees is powergaming in any sense. I would see a valid concern if an individual is not roleplaying their injuries or treatment correctly, and/or if they were actually dishonest about any medical fees and were merely attempting to hoard money out of it. I don't want to dwell further into details, seeing as everyone's opinion is revolving around that one specific lawsuit — but from a courts perspective, there is nothing malicious with properly roleplaying treatment of injuries alongside the financial stigma that comes with it, and I wouldn't describe taking legal civil action about it as a "petty" lawsuit. It's a very realistic approach and it's very common around the world — if anything, we are only restricting people by completely abolishing medical fees. Let it be known that proof of /charity has always been demanded. What I would like to see put into place, however, is a regulated system that keeps people in line with realistic medical fees that would be fitting with the server's economical atmosphere — seeing as people may go down the line in the future and cross it with their charity amount with OOC ill intent to bankrupt somebody. For this reason, there needs to be a universal list of injuries and their treatment costs — perhaps this is something that our medical clinics can be involved in discussing with legal faction management.

  15. Bump, can we get a word on this?
  16. Legislation is something which would have to go through legislation by a state government. Seeing as we currently don't have an actual state legislature system, I would reach out to city government and legal faction management to look into possibly integrating this. The JSA isn't meant to be creating legislature since it isn't a legislative body. This will be discussed and we'll look into creating a system which gives people the ability to request expungement of their old records which occurred with the older (or non-existent) judicial system. However, if this does get pushed in, I would assume it'd be limited to non-violent crimes.
  17. Adding a federal agency would require a lot of changes overall in our legal system, and it would require finding a group of very knowledgeable people in federal law. I don't think this is necessary considering a huge majority of crimes are already covered under state law and can be handled by our current law enforcement departments.
