  1. Just limit the /sellvehicle script to 4 cars per month. If you're switching out cars like I switch out my dress suits for work, then it's a portrayal issue and not my problem. Anything more than that, you apply to become a dealership. Simple as that. Exceptions can be made through /report and justification to an Admin, if its really something that drastic.
  2. Honestly, I'd settle for all supply points to be down at the port for deliveries, as a starting point. To expand on this change, I'd say to find a warehouse or larger building on the other side of the city (Del Perro Pier side) that complements this system as well and acts as a supply point for the opposite side of the city. The LS government could create a trucking company or contract an existing trucking company that focuses on restocking these warehouses almost exclusively. They would have to come into the port and load up, then drive to restock these warehouses. This increases port activity all the way around with all crate selections being available at the port to start with, as that makes the most sense, the supplies would RP'ly come in there via ships. All other trucking companies will then be able to load up crates at the Del Perro side warehouse and deliver to businesses on that side of the city. This effectively stops punishing businesses who are far away from the port supply points. This can also be done out in the county somewhere, so truckers can delivery to the "county" warehouse and then all other truckers load crates from there and deliver to businesses in the county. So recap: - All supply points (all crate selections) are available at the port and act as the initial supply point for all trucking companies. There are plenty of spots on the back sides of those warehouse buildings near the water at the port to place the rest of the crate selections. - Two additional warehouses to be created, one on the Del Perro Pier side and one in the county. These warehouses contain every type of supply crate. - Trucking company contracted with LS GOV takes supplies/crates from the port and resupplies these additional warehouses, almost exclusively. The government contract money to the trucking company can serve as a bonus to its drivers, since they would be solely focusing on these warehouses. - All truckers can then use the port or the additional warehouses based on the location of the businesses and proximity to the supply points. For example, businesses like Imperial Autoworks and Auto Exotic would obviously get deliveries from the Port. Businesses like Ocean View Customs would get deliveries from the Del Perro Warehouse. Businesses in the county would receive deliveries from the county warehouse. In my mind, this solves the business proximity issue pertaining to how far away they are from supply points. It increases traffic through the port ten fold, since all supplies would come through there first before being delivered to the additional warehouses or businesses. This helps the Port faction and SAPA. This helps truckers in having a more organized place for getting supplies. This helps businesses overall, especially those who are currently far away from any supply points and struggle to get crates at all. Win-win-win.
  3. Generally speaking if enough RP were to develop that results in the arrests of the top members of a criminal organization leading to a collapse of the group? Then it should be allowed to happen without any interference. That means enough was going on to warrant such a move by law enforcement and if the criminal organization was careless enough to let it happen? That's on them. As you said, they'll start another faction afterwards. Fine by me. More development. More great stories. I don't see the issue here. Granted, shutting down a faction shouldn't be the main goal. But if it does lead to that point on rare occasion? Let it happen. A couple people have already commented that it has once or twice already without RICO, so it's not actually necessary. You can't push groups and factions to get better & evolve if neither side never has anything to lose 🤷‍♂️
  4. The ability to leave some sort of message as well would be great, just in case no one is around to answer. This is especially useful if its a job recruitment line, so HR or the hiring personnel can reach back out.
  5. I wonder the same thing on a lot of suggestions here lol. Support for the idea.
  6. When did I ever say they didn't give enough money? Read again more carefully please. I said to stop saying, "Don't worry about the money". Many people have motivations to grow their wealth, whether it's at a 24/7 job or whatever it is. The fact of the matter is that these specific jobs are held to an unreasonable standard of having to find a way to RP an action every 60 seconds. Sometimes RP doesn't happen organically that fast, even in a player-owned business setting like a restaurant or a coffee shop. That's the issue. I never once said the amount was the issue. It's how it's obtained through forced, unnatural role play at times. Especially when it's not busy.
  7. @Fergie I know, I re-read and edited my entire post. Apologies!
  8. Re-read the suggestion and completely changing my post. I agree with removing the “Checkmark” being purchasable, but just leave the rest of the package the way it is. Let the check mark become something that must be applied for, like an application. I don’t see many people getting all worked up if all they lose is the checkmark, but keep the rest of the package the same.
  9. What's next? Stamina script? Hunger and thirst? No thank you. These things can be role played and if they aren't done correctly, that's what player reports exist for.
  10. Also to add onto the people saying, "It shouldn't be about the money, it's all about role play" --- Then paychecks should be removed and every player immediately given enough from the start to be able to do anything they want. With the argument that it's all about the role play, money shouldn't be a barrier to something I or anyone else wants to do then. Now I'm certainly not advocating for this, but I'm making a point. Money is needed to get around in this server in many cases part of a character's story and IC motivations. So I find it ridiculous when people use that blanket statement that it's all about role play. I'll reiterate what I said previously:
  11. This is again something that you can keep track of through role play. Keep screen shots so that when situations arise, you can justify the reasoning behind your character being naturally stronger. A script isn't needed. This isn't an RPG where you work for stats. Going to be a no from me.
  12. This isn’t hard to grasp. Players will still have to report through an Admin to commit the robbery. They will still have to go through a process to justify a realistic robbery. Nothing is going to be abused. The only thing that he’s advocating for is to not take the money from the cashier’s wallet, but rather the business itself. As a few have said, Admins have done this in the past where they take from the business bank instead. So maybe this should be more of a clarification across consistency between Admins handling the robberies. Obviously some Admins approach it this way and others don’t. Let’s just make it so that when a robbery occurs, cash is taken from the business bank instead of the bystanders working the counter. I don’t see why this shouldn’t be done. It makes complete sense.
  13. Didn't fully see this before. Brewers can make "Craft Liquor" which can be renamed to anything they want as long as it's RP'd correctly. It's a better system than it used to be, only issue is that most brewers are in it for the quick buck and not the brewer role play and thus don't stick around very long to make a lasting impact. There are a few, but not many. Not to digress from the suggestion, but just wanted to clarify.
  14. I don’t see a reason not to add this. It helps keep people honest. Unfortunately, there are people always looking for ways to game the system.
  15. I’ve already seen people say that Admins paid money out of the business bank to these kinds of robberies when the cashier had no money. Obviously it’s their discretion if the robbery is done well or if it’s seemingly just to grind cash. Seems like this is already in place, based on Admin discretion. It’s not an automatic thing when you walk in the door. I do agree that it shouldn’t come from the cashiers bank at all though. With these kinds of robberies, they always go for what’s in the till.
  16. This. Pretty simple concept and easy to implement I would think.
  17. As I said before, this is a major no. Your suggestion simply won't work on a server that has been operating this way since day 1. Enforce higher RP standards? Certainly. Restricting upper tier mods to only certain garages? Won't work the way you think it will. If this problem of mechanic RP was addressed earlier on? Sure. People have become accustomed to how it works now and changing it would need the entire community behind it as well as heavy Admin intervention to shift the paradigm of mechanic RP. On a server that now averages 400+ people? Won't happen. Just report people who do shitty mechanic RP and they will weed out eventually. Plus, forcing heavy mechanic RP on people is also a big no from me. Essentially that's what you're suggesting. Not everyone wants to wait a realistic 1-2 weeks for their car to be modified. This isn't a 1:1 real life server. Right now, people have that choice to visit a garage that engages in that kind of RP. This would essentially force them to be a part of it and that just won't work.
  18. Unfortunately, if you take away the ability for each garage to have all the options, majority of people will simply not visit the lower tier garages and thus reward only the upper tier ones. They'll go to the ones that offer all the options. We're supposed to be in a heavy RP server and in reality a majority of ordinary people wouldn't ever visit a mechanic garage unless they are getting their oil changed or something went wrong with the car. I get where you're suggestion was headed and I completely agree with it, but in application I don't think it would work here. It's just been going on too long as it currently operates and people just think it's normal to go get their cars modified, performance wise. You could try and fight it as a car enthusiast but at the end of the day, without some huge shift in policy to enforce RP standards to where not every normal person has their car maxed out.... this won't work. 100% agree with you. Some of the mechanic RP I see is awful. I do wish there was more regulation around that or at least a higher standard where you don't see people installing a turbo through the trunk (Yes, I actually saw this happen lol).
  19. I think this comes down to preference. I am not a “Dad” and I hold the phone both ways. Depends on what Im doing really. If I’m not texting and just scrolling, I’ll hold it with one hand and have no issues. Not really a big deal either way in terms of the animation. Whatever works for me.
  20. What's the animation called where they are actually holding the phone as if they are standing in a mirror taking a picture of themselves. You actually see them holding a physical phone in their hands. I can't find it and I'm still learning Menyoo lol. Or is it Photoshop or something? Like this: https://face.gta.world/photos/4662 or https://face.gta.world/photos/4806
  21. For some reason, a lot of people aren't aware that advertising using all forms (/ad, /bad, /cad) for one business is already against the rules lol. So is spamming the ads for the same business in a short amount of time, not allowing others to get their ads out. It's in the server rules. I just report people when I see that and it usually gets handled.
  22. Except they aren't queued a minute apart, it's at least 3 minutes apart to coincide with the global cooldown. I don't see how this would be a quality of life improvement when you're a business trying to advertise that you're currently open and there are 30 people in the queue in front of you. An hour and a half to post a business advertisement? No thanks.
  23. Brewers can also make "craft liquor" and as I've been told by Bombie, they can also rename them to a custom brand. The shame is that no one runs them long enough to establish any real business relationships. It takes times and effort to build business contacts and supply customers and most are just trying it to make a quick buck, rather than build a long-standing brand. Also, liquor store owners can purchase their own product at a discounted rate so that they can act as a role of a liquor supplier towards other businesses. That's actually why Nervous made that change.
  24. For reasons already discussed in this thread, I disagree. All this 60 second timer system does is promote forced RP for the wrong reasons and discourage people from even trying different avenues of RP. I'd say it's pretty essential to the long-term health of the server to remedy the issue sooner rather than later.
