Can confirm this. After months of investigating I've found numerous posts about GTAV's poor optimization for AMD hardware. People with an AMD GPU or CPU can be impacted, not all. I am one of those with my 5900x CPU. I've also come across the Vulkan fix but like quoted, couldn't get it to work.

Hey Jerm, I'm currently venturing outside of my comfort zone and going alone for a change, I'm normally in a faction. I've made a homeless character but he's not your traditional drug addict etc., Teddy is just a loner, goes about his day as he walks the streets, doesn't even beg (much). I was surprized at how much interaction Teddy has received from others just seeing him.. He has LEO's pulling over to talk to him also taking the time out to talk when he's at his tent in Mission Row. He has others buying him food and drink and so on without even begging for it.. I feel a big part of your enjoyment comes from those around you and the only thing you have to offer is something a little different that grabs the interest of those around you at the time. I logged in yesterday and all I did was walk from Mission Row to Del Perro beach, with the odd trash can dive here and there, and I had so many people approach me for an interaction and it makes the slower RP a lot more enjoyable. Try something outside of your comfort zone for a change and you may surprize yourself.

If your mouse has its own software it is done within there. I have a HyperX mouse so it has software called HyperX NGENUITY.

Hey, thanks all for offering your ideas but I believe I may have fixed it. I came across a fix late last night and thought I'd try it out.. I've done one test so far and it seems to have fixed my issue. The fix was turning my mouse polling rate down from 1000Hz to 250Hz.. Right? Weird. I think the addition of the new GPU may be working the CPU more than it used to so when the mouse wanted to speak to the CPU, it couldn't grab whatever it needed.. Now I've only tested it once and lasted just over an hour so I'll do some more testing, but that change helped a lot!

I am but I also tried disabling as I remember some issues in the past caused by Shadowplay.

Thanks all for your responses. I'm struggling to be convinced that this is a in game setting as for the first hour everything runs amazingly, it's not until that, roughly, 1 hour mark that everything goes to.. well.. shit, then a restart of the game fixes it. What I will try the next time it happens is disabling Reshade and see if that has an impact. @Nicola that's interesting to know, as horrid as it sounds, hopefully I'm not alone with this problem as it makes me feel better that its not something with my setup! I'll do some more digging and see what I can find. I've chopped and changed so many things so far that I've actually lost track!

Hello all, Firstly thank you for any help provided. Secondly please see my setup below; So basically what happens is I'll load into the game and everything will be fine, getting 120-130 FPS and then about 80-100 FPS in interiors, but after about 30mins-1hour of playing a stuttering will happen and if I swipe my mouse left to right continuously I will go down to <20 fps and it'll jump up and down. It's noticeable when walking around as well and it won't stop until I restart the game. Any ideas? I've tried a bunch of fixes found on this forum and through Google but I can't seem to crack it.

They are alright but I've experienced that adverts get cut off when they pop up. This might be a resolution issue.
