  1. The activity requirements for PD are not that strict, so you may have 200 members in PD but thinking that because they have 200+ members, a certain percentage must be on at peak times is very much so a wrong opinion because as stated before, you’re more likely looking at 20-30 PD members spread over a vast area.
  2. I'd suggest you get into PD and get actual factual numbers before pulling them from thin air and 'guessing' they have 40-50 members online at one time to try and fight against a point. At most, you're looking at 20-30, split between a whole city and even the county to some degree. Although, I don't understand how it makes serial removal useless though, because all you do is remove a serial number from a PF weapon, you don't remove the ability for the weapon to be traced to a casing and if you think it does that, you're heavily misinformed.

    Moonsong

Nope, they're a pretty decent admin.
  4. No member of the LSPD can leak anything ICly or OOCly under any circumstances, permission cannot be gained either from the leaders to permit it because they simply do not allow it. Detectives are even more stricly under this ruleset and much like the rest of the PD, corruption permissions do not give you the right to leak any information, be it ICly or OOCly at any rank. It's a rather slippery slope, because it's a fight against the fear of dying versus the OOC ruleset you're faced with but I'm sure there'll be some discussions about it.
  5. Partially true, yet months ago there would've likely been an entirely different faction in that area with an equally rich history but simply vanished. Just because I wrote up a nice brief saying my gang has been around for xx years doesn't equate to me owning that turf without any contest and denying anyone else the ability to reside or start up a faction within that area, which is pretty much all this turf map asks for as it gives groups OOC leverage on deciding who can inhabit their territory and controlling who they wish to have a conflict with. Still, I've said my piece and I won't be replying any further.
  6. Turf control is IC, you shouldn't have some sort of map telling you who lives where, that just gives people a pretty open source to metagame locations of certain groups and where they hang out. If you want to find out who lives/controls where, you go and find out ICly, a map shouldn't tell you nor should it give you an ability to turn away any new factions who wish to contest the area. If you want to control a territory, control it ICly with actual manpower instead of relying upon a map that pushes away any new factions that wish to contest or roleplay within the area. You have a whole rule set and process to protect yourself from DM'ers and bad factions, use them. No support.
  7. It takes approximately three-four months to become a Detective within PD, that's how long it took me anyway back in 2019 but I've roleplayed as a Detective on other communities, it isn't as simple as throwing up an advertisement for "We need organized crime detectives!". Yet, for some reason everyone thinks we're a fully manned detective bureau with numerous detectives that can counter any OCG and we wouldn't support a rule that solved the current status quo of illegal factions running to exort anything the moment a green blip on the map pops up. Plus, all of these arguments that "If you see bad RP, report it" and "I don't see any reports coming from any of you" coming out of the woodwork on this thread are literally null and void seeing as if a faction is doing it wrong, they get a faction report and those are private and are to be PM'd to FM. So, how do any of you in this thread know if reports are already being made, anyone in this thread complaining about this roleplay may have already filed a report, it's for them to know. If you're already PMing faction reports to FM? Great! If not? I'd suggest doing so, even though nothing may happen for your report in question, the evidence still counts as it all adds up to the point where action can be taken.
  8. We don’t carry the rifles on us script wise, they’re a script command to give us the weapon, so /take 1 literally exists to put the weapon into our scroll wheel, which can very much so be seen as the same as /vt xxx and /equip item. Yes, we’ll have an advantage over you, but at the same time you’ll have an advantage over us.
  9. It’s actually faster to copy and paste a line of text because you don’t have to type anything, doing /take 1 is the same as doing /me takes their rifle out.
  10. Just like how some criminal role players copy and paste their ”/me takes xxx out” emotes, all you’ll just see a resurgence of the same from LEO’s if the command is tweaked to remove the /me and there’s no way you’re going to counter that as it’s not against the rules under keybinds. It’s all good pointing the gun at LEO’s and saying that this command is inherently unfair, but you’ll just be promoting another method to get around this that’s already widely used by some criminal roleplayers, Ctrl + V.
  11. The reason why things like this are locked behind walls/factions is simply balance, just because you can realistically IRL go out and buy all these goods doesn't mean in a roleplay enviroment it should be allowed so freely.

    L&A

    It’s already in the works.
  13. I'm not defensive at all, I'm just pointing out the flaws in your argument, if you see that as me being defensive then more power to you. As shown in the image above, you're all over the place with your examples, maybe you should see about clarifiying them in the future as it seems to be an incident you're referring to months ago to an incident that happened a few days ago?
  14. Need I remind you that I'm the one who arrested you and you were non-compliant and continued to flee on foot until after you were tazed and then proceeded to insult not only myself at gunpoint, but the officer who patted you down multiple times, so I'll go back to the statement I've made many times before. Stop weaponizing situations you're a part of fit your agenda. You can brag all you'd like about how you were compliant, but it isn't the case and I'll once again refer to the statement you just quoted, no two scenarios are the same. Edit: I'm not against your suggestion and never once said I'm not, I'm against your constant method of using scenarios that are not truthful to support your argument, as you skew the point entirely and like I've mentioned, use it to fit your agenda.
  15. You should stop thinking so one dimensionally, each and every scenario is different and how you act in those scenarios comes back to how you'll be treated. If you shoplifted and proceeded to cuss out officers and generally be an ass when they're dealing with you, it wouldn't surprise me if they did arrest you. The same if you're being chased on foot, if they have to force you to stop then through a less than lethal then by all means why should they throw you leniency? I doubt running after a teenager, forcing them to the ground through the use of a less than lethal method and then having the teenager insult you would really be a "Well, you learned your lesson kid, now scram." scenario.
  16. As members of PD, we do have a say on this thread. If you weaponize situations to suit your agenda, expect members of the faction you use said situations against to respond. If it’s such an issue for you, write up a faction report because the attitude you present your concerns with is truly troubling.

    COVID19

You can only not contract a specific strain when your body has produced anti-bodies against said strain, if it's an entirely new strain then you're capable of catching it again. It's like the flu, it changes every year because new strains form every year, this is why people have a yearly flu vaccine.

    Force Cop CK.

If you do something moronic enough to get force CK'd while dealing with PD, it's the result of your own actions, no one elses. We don't go out of our way to CK people, but if you do something stupid like pull a weapon and gunpoint and end up littered with bullets then that 'character' you lost wasn't a character at all.
  19. They are, they're changed to a fake e-mail address.
  20. I'm a member of the PD and I can confirm that IP addresses are not leaked out when the account is handed over because they're removed from the login history before the account is given.
  21. That's not true. Until you actually know the specifics into how it's handled, don't make assumptions.
  22. As a member of PD, namely a Detective; I can state that we do have the ability to legally CK someone, it's just we rarely if ever do it unless the person in question has a rather large record of multiple serious offences or has commited so many offences in one single incident it would be enough to warrant a legal CK. I can understand the frustration that comes from the lack of consequences for some of these players, those that openly murder others over rather petty issues. But, I can assure you that we do have the ability, but we require in most cases more than one singular incident to legally CK someone. In most cases, if we ever force a CK upon someone it's if they're done something rather stupid such as shoot at cops when they're already held at gunpoint. The biggest issue so far in respect of legally CK'ing someone is down to the evidence at hand, just like how when you apply for a CK to begin with, you need respective evidence we also need the same, but to a somewhat larger degree to prove the fact that they're simply not learning their lesson or failing to fear authorities as they rightly should so after X amount of crimes they've commited.
  23. One of my favourite LSPD members, loved the read Yass.
  24. Loving the thread guys, one of my favourite factions to interact with on the server.
