  1. INTRODUCTION West Side Tongan Posse is a tightly knit Pacific Islander-American community that aims to care and tend for each other. This neighborhood is a result of ethnic minorities bunching up to provide themselves a local community and a sense of identity like many others, e.g. Korea Town, Chinatown etc. Tongan Posse is much more different than the local and notorious Tongan Crip Gang and should not be mixed up. The Tongan Crip Gang (TCG) also known as the T-Gang, is primarily, but not exclusively, a Tongan-American street gang located in Davis, Los Santos. The Tongan Crip Gang is located around Covenant Avenue and East Side of Grove Street, between Brouge Avenue and Roy Lowenstein Boulevard. The Tongan Crip Gang is the first and only Pacific Islander/Polynesian street gang to reside in the city of Los Santos, which is dominated and infested with blood, crip and sureno gangs. Members of the Tongan Crip Gang are known to sport "Texas Rangers" or "Texas Longhorns", baseball caps with the large letter "T" to represent Tongan. TONGAN CRIP GANG OF LS IN 2021 Gangbanging in Davis is still very much alive in the year of 2021. The member ages in this gang vary quite a lot but it starts from 12 years old and goes all the way up to 25. The majority of the gang members are high school drop-outs. Tongan Crip Gang is known as having a friendly and pacific connections with some of the neighboring gangs. T.C.G's crimes include drug trafficking, home invasions, extortions, burglaries, auto theft, credit card, bank and federal fraud, identification theft, murder, arson and kidnapping. As of 2021, T.C.G's involvement with drugs has largely increased. Occupying what is considered to be one of the biggest hotspots of drug trafficking in whole of the South Central, some gang members decided to capitalize on it. However, among the Posse, alcohol still remains bigger than any drug on the street. DRUG TRAFFICKING PROMINENCE Due to their rapid adaptation to local hardcore gangs, Tongan Crip Gang members also adopted new ways of money-making from the local gangs. So called drug trafficking organizations became a figure model for further gang's money operations expansion. Given extremely suitable location for local drug distribution, Tongan Crip Gang managed to enrich several gang members pockets along with the gang itself. Some of the gang members, often past 25 years old of age already had a family to take care of, hence some of them "hung their flags up" and moved on with their lives. Given conditions for different and more efficient money operations, small substrata's of ex-gang members moved out of the low-income neighborhood, yet still maintaining contact with the gang and posse members. Those who stayed, either temporarily or permanently (talking about the eldest members of the gang), were often left at the pike head of the operations, managing to earn themselves a modest living through illicit means. Pacific Islander background often gave the prominent gang members an opportunity to exploit transnational drug markets, giving a simplest organizational level to the Tongan Crip Gang that applied only to the top layer of the members and was extremely vague. THE ORIGINS The Tongan Crip Gang, as a general rule, originally hails from the South Los Santos area (primarily Davis, Grove Street & Covenant Avenue) where they are known to be aligned and interacting with predominantly black gangs (mostly various Crip sets). The Tongan Crip Gang in Los Santos is more hardcore than T.C.G in other areas, mainly because the gang members in Los Santos have learned and associated with the hardcore Crip set, therefore, they are more sophisticated in their organizations in order to compete with other hardcore gangs in Los Santos. In other words, the T.C.G was forced to quickly adapt to the Crip gang activities. In the latter part of 1988, the hardcore T.C.G. gang members in L.S. began to feel heavy pressure from the local police. They needed to escape, therefore, they began to live with relatives, friends and cousins. Once they arrived, they started to influence the local Tongan youth. During that time, the Tongan youth had seen the gang problems in L.S. through the media, newspapers and public theatres. For local Tongan youth, to hear that there were hardcore Tongan gangsters from Los Santos have raised anxiety and pride to know that there are ‘‘Tongans“ in gangs. When the Tongan youth hear of T.C.G. parties and hangouts, they flock there to check them out, watch and listen. While observing, they see the hardcore T.C.G.s from L.S. dressing down, telling stories of drive-by shootings, murders and so forth. And to these youths this is attractive, cool and the ‘‘in“ thing to do. Therefore, the local Tongan kids began organizing the local T.C.G in Los Santos. OOC INFORMATION The faction's essential goal is to maintain a high standard of roleplay while trying to illustrate a realistic view of a Tongan Crip Gang. We believe that factions are made and built by people and communities who are capable to develop and create unique characters, so the proper character development stands in the first place. If you would like to roleplay with us, simply approach us in Grove Circle or Covenant Avenue area. We would like you to start “small” and preferably with a backstory which fits the area itself and an appropriate age. For ambitious players, we decided to adapt in a some sort of drug trafficking organization layer, that provides some sort of notion of organized crime. However, this would be only possible to you if you have been role-playing for a long enough time around the gang and is extremely limited to the amount of people it can have. If you are planning to join our faction you can freely join our faction discord down below. Link to the faction discord: https://discord.gg/zFtaSm8MK4 If you have any questions in regards to joining, about the faction or even have any tips or would like to get to know anything about the faction, feel free to private-message @Deddo or @Rokas. Faction reserves the right to carry out a character-kill to any character that aspires to become a part of the faction (hang arounds). All members must abide by the rules. If broken, punishment will be handed out by leadership. Special thanks to @Shvag @Rokas @Symka @Daylong @Epic @Deddo @Kimo @Santiago @Chinatown @Vinc @Siberian @Eficion and @#CRIPUP?!

  9. Short description: Make it possible to permanently give car keys to someone. Detailed description: We all know how annoying that can be: Your friend lends you their car with /vdup, the server crashes... And you're stranded. It'd be wonderful if we'd be able to give out permanent car keys, much like the tenancy system. The person in possession of a second car key should, of course, also be able to access the vehicle via /vget and, of course, /antitheft Commands to add: /givecarkey Items to add: N/A How would your suggestion improve the server? It'd improve the quality of life and would also offer a new branch of roleplay, for example player owned car rental companies. Additional information: N/A

  15. Hi! I just want to hear the player base's opinions on adding obligatory medical fees to healthcare. I saw some people mention the topic in other threads, but I've yet to find a recent one with a focus on medical fees specifically. It's not a suggestion yet since I've yet to hear sides to it I probably haven't thought of. (There's also some brainstorming about it already, I hear, but I received no response to my inquiries and still wanna' see what's up!) I feel like it would encourage being more careful of one's health, stimulate roleplay, make people's financial statuses more realistic, and in general, bring immersion. At the moment, healthcare is free unless a player roleplays having them and doing /charity to self-inflict a financial hit. This sometimes results in the person suing another for the fees, but that would border in powergaming since the player is the one coming up with the costs. Obviously, since Los Santos is based in the United States, this isn't exactly realistic. Imagine what an utopia it would be if professional healthcare was free and accessible! This is what I have had in mind: Fees for ambulances and medical care: > The ambulance could have a base cost* somewhere between $500 - $3,000. This would encourage those roleplaying poor to rely on other options to get the care they need, such as calling a cab or having a friend drive you instead. This actually happens IRL! // *EDIT: I realize the FD is in need of roleplay. The fee could either be low or 0 - I don't personally mind, as long as some other fee system regarding healthcare is implemented. I thought this would be fun and immersion-bringing, but may have less amicable OOC consequences. > The bills for healthcare would depend on what injuries are upon the character, roleplay- or scriptwise. This would require an on-duty FD, medic or other hospital staff member to assess it (according to a set procedure) in order for the cost to be realistic and non-PG, but a script 'base' price could be implemented for cases of emergency where this isn't possible. The passive roleplay would stay the same, but actually having money come in through the hospitals could invite people to roleplay staff. Someone detached from the situation counting the fees makes suing others for the costs more fair. > Private healthcare providers are given more range in the way they handle payments. Because non-roleplay hospitals are free and there are no 'waiting lines' or difference in quality of care, it doesn't make sense for roleplay-run healthcare providers to charge actual rates for their service. > Bills would have a time frame which they would have to be paid in, like citations. Insurance: > The fact that money actually has to go towards their well being would invite people to invest in health insurance. Wealthy or just comfortable characters could easily afford a monthly payment and dodge the worst of medical fees when it comes to it. The most basic form of health insurance could be a script implementation like car insurance, but because it's not obligatory, it could also encourage people to set up insurance companies with better benefits. Exceptions: > PKs; because a PK is always disorienting to go through and a character obviously cannot remember what led to them ending up at the hospital, they could not seek reimbursement for any medical fees. Still, some service fees could be applied so the point of looking after one's health is not completely lost, these still being lower than the 'base' fee for an injury one would survive. > 'Passive' healthcare like cancer treatments and other non-emergency, ongoing care taken to non-roleplay hospitals could also have set fees that one pays as they go, or could simply be roleplayed as this is a choice made by the player and not something that occurred through interactions with others. I'm not sure how this would apply into the system, if at all. I usually play somewhat poor characters as the struggle for money gives me incentive to act even in times where I don't feel particularly creative, and seeing money be so available and scarcely lost on things that would really damage your economic situation IRL is immersion-breaking, personally. I have no issue with people who roleplay being rich, but getting above the middle-class line is much, much more difficult than GTAW would make you believe, and I think some sort of medical bills system would bring at least some reality into the mix. Even the tips that show when loading up GTA tell you that having a dangerous lifestyle can get expensive because of the cost of healthcare... I want to hear suggestions, ideas and criticism from the other sides of the server, please! This is all based on my views of the situation.

  20. The Hill Valley Church - Blaine County Authentic Community We are created for community because God lives in community. Life’s not about me, it’s about we. We grow better together. Life change happens in circles, not rows. Life change happens life-on-life. The Christian life can’t be lived in isolation. You can only accomplish the ‘one anothers’ of Scripture in community. Radical Generosity You’re never more like Jesus than when you’re giving and serving. What we think we own is really on loan. Even our breath is borrowed. We are blessed to be a blessing. When we are a blessing, we’re blessed. God desires the first and best portion. First-fruits living. Generosity is sharing and serving God with your time, talent, treasure, testimony and touch. Transformed Identity We have been called out and commissioned. We are set apart and sent. Life’s not about me, it’s about Him and them. If you have a pulse, you have a purpose. We were made to make an impact. Who we are determines what we do. You can teach what you know, but only reproduce what you are. A Commitment to LEADERSHIP THAT EMPOWERS: We envision a church family with leaders who have intimate, growing relationships with God, resulting in proven Christlike character that is “above reproach” and a clear sense of God’s calling on their lives. We see leaders who enthusiastically support and communicate the core values, mission and vision of our church, so that everyone understands them. We see a leadership team that defines goals for the accomplishment of our mission and vision and regularly monitors the implementation of these goals. We envision a church with leaders who motivate, equip, support, and mentor people for ministry who, in turn, are able to mentor others. We see a church in which leaders are consistently and intentionally developing new leaders, because everyone is seen as a potential leader. A Commitment to FAMILY LIFE: We envision a church where healthy, God-honoring families are grown and reproduced. We see couples developing deepening relationships with each other and the Lord. We see parents being encouraged and equipped to train their children to follow the Lord. We see countless children and teens beginning personal relationships with Jesus Christ, being baptized and building a foundation that leads to a lifetime of full devotion to Jesus. We see young people eager to go to church with their parents and enthusiastically inviting their friends to come with them. We see more and more families of all kinds experiencing the joy of the Lord at ERBC. A Commitment to MULTI-ETHNIC & MULTI-GENERATIONAL MINISTRY: We envision a church that reflects and celebrates the cultural and generational diversity we see in our community. We see people of all ages and ethnicities worshiping, growing, serving, and leading in our church. We see, in our church family, an appreciation for God’s creativity which leads a diverse group of people to worship the same God in unity. A Commitment to LOCAL & GLOBAL MISSIONS: We envision a church that is committed to growing God’s Kingdom from our doorstep to the ends of the earth. We see members of our church family bringing the Good News to our local community by supporting and serving with local outreach programs and projects. We see more new churches being planted and growing, as a result of our church’s partnership. We see people on the other side of the globe reached with the Good News and discipled to be more like Jesus, because of our missionary support and mini-missions involvement. We see a church that is aware and excited about fulfilling the Great Commission, and, as a result, people from our own church family answering the call to serve in career missionary service. 21. I'm usually against RPG elements in a roleplay environment and this isn't an exception. The repercussions of this script in fights would be disastrous. The way I see it, whoever has more strength is easily going to win them which isn't always the case. I could lift everyday but still be pretty bad at fighting. Both skills aren't correlated. A super thin dude with years of boxing or martial arts experience would beat the crap out of a buffed dude with near to no experience in those two sports in no time. This script would would eliminate that nuance and many more and generalize the fighting meta to scripted strength which is far from realistic. Additionally, this offers a huge disadvantage to players who aren't able to play every single day for multiple hours in comparison to those who do. This unethically rewards active players by giving them more time to train and consequently gain more strength. Limit the /startshift time at the gym to like 3 hours like it already does for businesses? The issue persists, it wouldn't be balanced and I doubt any player with limited real life time to play the game would log in game, train for 3 hours and then log off.
