  1. Hello everyone, This is an announcement in regards to the addition of sexual roleplay rules within the GTA:World community, as well as changes to the age limits of characters. We would also like to remind everyone that we do not and never have accepted pedophilia within the community. We punish any instances of this very harshly and will continue to do so. These rules are not an attempt to address a pattern of pedophilia in the community and they are simply to ensure that players on our server are being protected from predatory behaviour as well as to ensure that our heavy standards are being applied to all areas of the server. That being said, if you ever experience any instances of predatory behavior or pedophilia, you should contact an administrator with any evidence that you can gather. Even if you do not have evidence, it's recommended that you contact an administrator immediately so that it can be escalated and investigated. I ask that you please read through these new rule additions and familiarize yourself with them as they are going to be enforced at a high standard. I will attach a list of notable points that you should be made aware of: Characters are now no longer allowed to be under the age of 16, unless the character is made for the intentions of getting involved with gang roleplay and there is a reasonable justification for that character to be 12-15. Players who are OOCly under the age of 18 may NOT engage in any explicit sexual roleplay of any kind. They MUST take the responsibility to fade to black, which they have the OOC right to refuse to consent to. Players who are 18 or over the age of 18 should ensure that they do not willingly engage in explicit sexual roleplay with a minor. Characters who are under 18 may NOT participate in any explicit fully roleplayed sexual roleplay. If they engage with sexual roleplay with a character that is under 18, the roleplay must be skipped / faded to black. This does not apply to characters who are under 16 who may not fade to black nor roleplay it out. Characters who are under 18 may NOT be involved in any rape/sexual assault roleplay whatsoever, including fading to black. Characters who are under 18 may NOT be involved with sexual roleplay with a character who is 18 or over in any capacity, including fading to black. Character descriptions must be more neutral in nature. They should not be over sexualized and should properly describe the character in a neutral manner. PLEASE READ THE FULL CHANGELOG HERE: Why? These rules are being implemented to ensure that the GTA World staff team is properly protecting our players and that all of our players are not participating in any predatory fantasies. Although, I'd like to address that we have always been committed to protecting our players from predatory behaviour and will continue to do so; if you witness any predatory behaviour you are asked to please bring it up to a trusted Administrator. The reasoning that gang roleplayers are being given an opportunity to roleplay under 16 is for the simple reason that there's a justification and a realistic need for it. Other than gang roleplay, in the current climate of the server this is no justification to roleplay a character under 16 and we will not be allowing it to occur outside of gang roleplay. What Now? These new changes are being implemented immediately and should be adhered to by the entire community. Anyone who has any evidence of any predatory behaviour in the past may still contact any administrator in private. If you have a character that is affected by these new age limits: You must age your character up to fit the new server standards or remove the character within 48 hours Sincerely, FullyCanadian, on behalf of the GTA World Staff Team.

  3. I'll do my best to summarize what happened but there's quite a lot to get through. To quickly touch on ban appeals being hidden, what Notbond said is correct. Ever since we moved faction applications to the forums where only the poster can see their thread, it's been a lot easier to handle on the staff side of things. We've been discussing doing it with ban appeals for a while. We'll likely do it with refund requests and asset transfers too. Staff applications have been moved to a similar system which you'll see when we open staff applications next. Ban appeals are something we wanted to keep public but the thing that changed my mind is the fact that we had staff members spending more time removing irrelevant posts from unrelated players than handling the appeals themselves. I'll consider making them public again sometime in the future but for now, they'll be staying hidden. The players themselves can choose what's made public. There's already screenshots being shared of the existing ban appeals across several Discords. The Executive Security Discord wasn't raided. With Legal FM now more active than it has ever been, it now has the capacity to deal with the smaller legal factions rather than ignoring them like was done previously. Members of Legal FM were in regular contact with every approved faction. It has been standard practice since the first few months of the community to have the Head of Legal FM and the faction's handler in DIscords relating to approved legal factions. Legal FM is given full administrator rights so they can see every channel. Someone in Legal FM found that this was not the case. They contacted every faction leader and requested access to every Discord to be in line with every other faction. Upon joining the Executive Security Discord, the following activities were discovered: attempted doxing of community members and staff members, including Nervous himself; frequent usage of racist and homophobic slurs used in a manner that can be deemed offensive; antisemitic behavior, which mostly consisted of members of the Discord using Jew as an insult; banned players admitting to ban evading but not being reported by anyone in the Discord. Nobody in the Discord seemed to have an issue with anything that was being said. In fact, there was even a group that were laughing about the amount of times (almost 300) the hard R was used in the Discord. Here's part of the logs that were copied prior to Legal FM taking screenshots: Unfortunately the people in that Discord felt that was acceptable so they were issued bans. It's really a lot worse than they're making it out to be. It occurred on a Discord for a faction that has been RPing here for quite some time. It had nothing but GTA World players. Those that made unban appeals are trying to claim that it's not a GTA World platform or there's no evidence. That tells me they really don't give a shit and/or think racism is acceptable. It's not in this community. Nervous was the one that approved the bans in the first place. He was involved from the moment we discovered that there was a group attempting to dox players. So no, none of this was done behind his back. Nervous was consulted from the start to the finish when he approved the bans. For those that actually want to get unbanned, own up to it. Finding excuses and trying to make the ban seem invalid isn't going to get you anywhere. Justifying racism is just going to get you permanently banned.

  5. A fantastic run in this faction and thoroughly enjoyed it. When I first joined there were two associates and it can now boast a fifty man memberlist. The faction did have its negatives and imperfections, but with that being said, I wish it the best going forward. It's been a great seven months. Particular shout-outs to Nicholas Trisano, Gerald Marchetti, Dominic Altomare, Lawrence Zampa, Thomas Burns, Joseph Agresta, Benjamin Nicci, Michael Giuliano, David Pillini and Marco Caruso who helped make my time in the faction so enjoyable. Watch this space. Pictured: John Capra and Nicholas Trisano exiting the Dirty Duke one last time.

  6. Hey, hi! So this is something I've wanted to do for a loooooong time but haven't really gotten around to it. With the Los Santos County Lifeguards thriving under the Los Santos Fire Department, I thought now would be a good time to show the story of my oldest, nearest and dearest character, Ami McKenna. Ami has been my most played character and has a long history on GTA:W - filled with failures and dreams who has finally found her calling in life - by pure chance of an accidental rescue one day down on Vespucci Beach. Ami means a heck of a lot to me. There was a brief period of time where I put her aside to start afresh after a major setback in her development - and I RPly sent her away to Alaska to continue her veterinary medicine studies as I had lost all ambition to play her. I brought her back around January to try and dig her out of the hole she was in and have fallen completely in love with playing her again and I don't see that changing. This will follow the development of Ami, from her escape to Alaska, to her return due to her husbands suicide - and how she managed to find hope through her conception and development of the Los Santos County Lifeguards. It'll take a little time to catch up to the present day, but I have so much content of her present day that I felt it's important to show how the Lifeguards came to fruition. I hope you enjoy ❤️

  7. Vespucci is a residential, commercial, and recreational beachfront neighborhood of the City of Los Santos, San Andreas. This urban region of coastal Los Santos County is known locally as the Westside. Vespucci is known for its canals, beach, and Ocean Front Walk, a two-and-a-half-mile (4.0 km) pedestrian promenade that features performers, fortune-tellers, artists, and vendors. Vespucci Beach, which receives millions of visitors a year, has been labeled "a cultural hub known for its eccentricities" and a "global tourist destination." It includes the promenade that runs parallel to the beach (also the "Ocean Front Walk" or just "the boardwalk"), Muscle Beach, and the Vespucci Beach Recreation Center with handball courts, paddle tennis courts, a Skate Dancing plaza, and numerous beach volleyball courts. It also includes a bike trail and many businesses on the Ocean Front Walk. Roaming Vespucci Beach's rows of boutique shops and artisanal brunch spots, it's inconceivable that the neighborhood once belonged to low-income suburbia, where mom-and-pop shops thrived, and meals served à la food cart. Locals knew this area as "Dogtown", the focal point of West Coast skate culture that would inspire media representation for decades. Vespucci Beach is home to a wide variety of social groups, locals, renters, gangs, and others. This thread's purpose is to showcase the roleplay that occurs within the Vespucci Beach area. Feel free to join the Dogtown Community discord at the following link: https://discord.gg/NjFt8ae

  10. This is a bit overbearing, even by my standards. Who's to say I'm not portraying my character as a paranoid neurotic who would flee for seemingly no reason? Who's to say I don't have something in my car that I shouldn't have? Adding restrictions like this, where you don't reasonably know what's going through the other person's mind, is going to lead to reports that are unfounded. Undoubtedly, there are people that flee just for the thrill of a chase OOC and it goes against what their character would reasonably do - but there's already steps in place for you to deal with that. If you believe somebody is breaking server rules, you can /report them - if you believe they aren't portraying their character properly, you can raise your concerns with the RP Quality Team. Not to mention that with the points system in place, people who regularly evade for no particularly reason will soon find themselves nearing the 30 points required to imprison them indefinitely. I see no reason to add more limitations and restrictions for something that can already be resolved without it, like your point about people not roleplaying crashes - report them and it will be dealt with.

  13. 9) Offensive Roleplay The purpose of this rule is to find a balance between allowing players to be comfortable when playing while still allowing some freedom during roleplay. The roleplay that is restricted under this rule falls under the broad term of "Offensive Roleplay", but it does not mean that any roleplay that offends a player is not allowed. Offensive Roleplay includes the following; torture; dismemberment; other roleplay that may disgust another player, for example a graphic description of an injury. To do any of the roleplay listed above, it must be done with the OOC consent of all players involved prior to the roleplay being started. Offensive roleplay must be conducted away from other players and areas where players are likely to stumble across it. If an admin deems a location too public, it can be considered a breach of the rule. It is the responsibility of the players participating in the offensive roleplay to try to keep it away from players that may be uncomfortable with witnessing it. Players knowingly entering an area where offensive roleplay is occurring are assumed to have consented for the purposes of this rule. An example would be entering a strip club or a location where they know a character is being tortured. If a player is uncomfortable with the roleplay and they are a participant, they may request that it stops at any time. If a player witnesses offensive roleplay and they do not wish to see it, they may remove themselves from the scene. Examples: torturing a player without making sure they are fine with participating in that kind of roleplay; describing a gruesome injury in detail when someone arrives at a scene. The following types of roleplay are not allowed to happen on the server at all: cannibalism; bestiality; necrophilia; paedophilia. Sexual roleplay is covered in Rule 19. 19) Sexual Roleplay Rules The purpose of this rule is to restrict predatory behaviour and reduce sexualization within the community. "Player" refers to the person behind the screen. "Character" refers to the character created by the player that exists in-game. Character descriptions must describe the character's general demeanour and appearance for players involved with roleplay. Character descriptions should not intentionally sexualize the character and should be rather neutral in describing the character. For clarification, this covers the character description script that a player can set using /attributes and another player can view using /examine. Sexual roleplay is defined as any roleplay that can be considered to be sexual activity or can lead up to sexual activity. This includes sexual touching. Fade to Black is defined as choosing to skip a roleplay scene as opposed to roleplaying it out in detail. Typically, the involved parties agree on what would have happened between the involved characters and simply move on. Players who are under the age of 18 cannot participate in any form of sexual roleplay. If any characters or players under the age of 18 are involved in any form of sexual roleplay, they are required to fade to black. Characters under 16 may NOT fade to black and may NOT participate in sexual roleplay whatsoever. Characters that exist only for the purposes of engaging in sexual roleplay are forbidden. Every character needs to participate in roleplay outside of sexual activity in order to not be in breach of this rule. Sexual roleplay may only happen if every player that can see the roleplay consents to it. Players who do not want to participate in sexual roleplay may freely remove themselves from the location where it is occurring. Sexual roleplay must occur in a private setting to minimize the chances of other players stumbling across the roleplay. Players may be punished if they are discovered engaging in sexual acts in public if they are unable to prove they did their best to not be discovered. In summary, the following must all apply before sexual roleplay can occur: all involved players are 18 years old or older; all involved characters are 18 years old or older; each player has agreed to participate and understands that the roleplay must immediately stop if an involved player gets uncomfortable; all involved players are responsible for making sure players that have not consented cannot stumble across the roleplay (eg. roleplaying in a locked interior); players may not encourage other players to participate in sexual roleplay using OOC means. This may also extend to trying to convince a player to engage in sexual acts of any kind when the character is clearly unwilling to participate. Players are strongly encouraged to report any sexual roleplay that involves characters or players under the age of 18. Additional Notes: Sexual roleplay in a public location can be defined as anything from engaging in sexual activity in anywhere that isn't in an interior to engaging in sexual activity in an interior that is easily accessed by several other players (such as a business or property with lots of players renting). Businesses that have sexual roleplay occurring inside (such as a sex shop or a club with exotic dancers) should be clearly advertised as such in order to warn players of that type of roleplay occurring. 6) Character Rules When naming your character, you must consider the following; names cannot be famous or be similar to a famous person's name; names may not be the same as or similar to characters in video games, movies, TV shows or any other form of media; names should match the character's background; names should exist in the modern day and be reasonably common; names should not be comical or reference memes or pop culture; names may not contain any special characters, and they must match a Firstname Lastname format; names may not be nicknames and should be full names as they would be shown on a government-issued ID; gag names such as Ben Dover are not allowed either. Characters must be at least 16 years old. The only exception to this rule is if you make a character with the intent on getting involved with a gang faction. This is to allow more realistic recruitment for gangs as they typically target teenagers for recruitment. These characters are allowed to be no younger than 12 years old. Admins have the final say when it comes to a name being valid or not. Players instructed to find another name should do so. None of your characters should have any impact on anything your other characters are involved in. The metagaming rule goes into more detail about this. Each of your characters should be unique from your other characters. Making similar characters that have the same motivations, goals, objectives etc. is forbidden. This is to avoid players name changing to avoid consequences. Switching names between your characters is also forbidden. Should a character be CKed or name changed, the character that comes after should have no connection to the previous character. Any character in a faction that is name changed or CKed must follow Faction Management's regulations for returning to the same faction. If a faction has no written agreement with Faction Management, then a returning character should be discussed with Faction Management. The purpose of this rule is to make sure CKs have an impact on factions.

  16. People forget that the FD is just a faction like the rest. A lot of their members don’t play 24/7 and some have other characters, even then a lot of them still stand ready to respond to IG calls and log on while they were otherwise busy. They boiled down relatively complicated procedures to be understandable and enjoyable for all parties. Truth is; FD can never do things right, if they have to many people they’re paycheck farming. If they have too little they’re inactive. If they have people on call it takes too long for them to respond. If they have complicated medical roleplay they’re incoherent and unpleasant. If they have simple procedures they’re unrealistic and don’t know their shit. People need to make up their minds, FD is doing pretty good in comparison to a lot of similar counterparts. When a paramedic puts in the effort to gear up and respond to a call that they received out of game and get nothing but shit on, can you blame them when they get demotivated? That’s a huge lack of consideration.

  17. Short description: I believe that inmates should be able to access phone commands in jail, such as texting, making calls ect. Detailed description: I believe that inmates should be able to access phone commands in jail, such as texting, making calls ect, if smuggled in properly. The reason I believe this is because in jail believe it or not, phones have a big part to play in doing business inside and between cars. For an example, I'll give you a command we can already access with phones. The /banktransfer command. We use this command to put outside money into inmates bank accounts, ect. However, if we were able to properly utilize the phones other abilities; I believe more rp/business could be done inside of jail. For instance, if I was able to use the /sms command on my phone (an ability I am not able to do right now) I would be able to contact people on the outside, in case if I needed something done. Another command I am not able to use right now, the /addcontact command can also be pretty useful as well. Inmates would be able to make contacts/connections in jail that can and will help them later on the outside. I believe if adding this will introduce a boost to criminal rp inside and outside of jail, especially in the bigger factions in jail, aka La eme and the White car. Commands to add: I believe if adding this will introduce a boost to criminal rp inside and outside of jail, especially in the bigger factions in jail, aka La eme and the White car. Items to add: When this suggestion is implemented, I believe it should also be implemented with some sort of command or way that deputies can take the phones off of inmates without confiscating/seizing them. How would your suggestion improve the server? It would boost the criminal roleplay aspect of the server. Additional information: None.

  20. In reality, people play this server to have fun. Imposing rules on things that don’t need to be enforced will ruin that fun. If I’m in a situation with police I don’t want to be worried about an administrator thinking my characters reasons were valid to evade or not. Absolutely no for this.

  21. Molotovs don't exist in game because they don't work; the sync is terrible. You're welcome to roleplay it and what not if it's for the purposes of committing arson, but as someone else mentioned previously - you'd still need to use /arson and have an admin assist with effects.

  23. I am in full support with this there needs to be a lot of tax just like real life, this would encourage people to either work very hard legally to show off their wealth or use other means to avoid tax. For example barber shops where I live and probably world-wide most definitely lie about how many customers they get to reduce the amount of tax they pay. Would create some interesting RP dynamics and potential.

  24. This is just a part of common courtesy man, sorry that you went through it but there'll always be people who might not be all nice but at the same time you can't exactly report them, so just be the bigger man and play it out without a worry of how they act and feel or what perspeption they might have formed of you, or the PD. There's simply nothing you can do about it, you were right in your shoes. On the other hand if someone's simply being a dick OOC and showing no regard or respect ooc, they can most certainly be reported. I went through something similar not too long ago and made a report cause sometimes people go way out of line OOC to the point it should be raised to an admin. But all in all, there will be bad eggs, the right thing to do imo is just keep it IC, ignore the ooc crap, and report if necessary. Still a good PSA topic
