  1. I speak solely on my own personal opinion on the riots from a point of view as one of the LSPD officers that played a role in the roleplay tonight. It was engaging, nerve-racking and for the most part extremely interesting, good fun. I wasn't aware of the reason for the initial spark of these "Peaceful protests" turned riots but when arriving to the situation outside city-hall the scenes were immersive and refreshing to see. Scenes such as protests or even riots are a world wide event, they exist and as of late are happening for a multitude of reasons. I'm glad this one in question was sparked from what a member of the Sheriff's Department had allegedly done. Apart from the small hiccups from some members of this community that took things a little OTT and were swiftly dealt with by staff, it was an all-round interesting event for all sides in the legal vs illegal realm. It's never always about illegal roleplayers versus the LSPD or SD for that matter. You have normal, everyday LEGAL roleplayers joining in on the protests, staging a line infront of officers to have their IC voice heard, it was interesting to see. Unfortunately with this being a text based roleplay server, everything is done in delay so the actions of some people can't properly be displayed or counteracted through text based roleplay. I'm going to bold and highlight a few key points on what you mentioned in your original post. You're partly the reason for my response here on this thread but I come with good intentions. I truly believe in most cases, factions on both the legal and illegal side get bad exposure through roleplay situations. You're only privvy to I'd say around 45% of the actual roleplay involving Officers and likewise for us when it comes to dealing with illegal roleplayers. We know very little of the character development you've taken your character through and that of the roleplay AFTER your interaction with us has finished. Which brings me onto this point. After being let free from city-hall, I returned back to the Mission Row precinct with other officers involved, sporting and displaying my characters "war wounds" from the evenings events. I witnessed Officers huddled inside and outside of the station, displaying injuries and going through emotion of the event that had occurred. Why am I mentioning this? Because I feel the statement provided above is unfair however I understand why it's said, I don't know what YOU did after the riots nor do you know what I did after the riots. See where the confusion can be displayed? However, I can simply only point out that whilst witnessing Officers roleplaying through both emotion and distress, it once again gave a massive immersion booster for the upcoming events to follow whatever may be of this situation. Some may believe the riots were a bad idea but I am simply not one of those people, I thank and reach out to the administrative staff that took the time and effort to overwatch the scene, allowing for the roleplay to flow with minimal disruption and I welcome the future interaction this roleplay will provide further civilians against Law Enforcement whilst it's reported across social media platforms and the IC news. We're all here for the same reason and that's to build a story through means of interaction and events.

  2. Makeup Directory By Biscuit So I am quite a new player myself (joined one day prior to the date of this post) and I wanted to "import" a character from GTA Online to GTA World, the huge problem hit me whilst I was doing makeup for my character, in GTA Online all the names are in text format, whilst in GTA World all the names are in index value format and unless you had the order of the makeup bunked in your head it was impossible to find out what makeup is x number. 3. I think the whole thing would be much more interesting if you all flamed each other IC instead of trying to turn a perfectly in character event into yet another OOC cryfest.

  4. was all IC tbh no rules were broken apart from a few individuals and they were dealt with if u try restrict shit like this ur gonna make the server extremely boring. this was fun for PD and FD since they actually got to use riot gear and tear gas and shit, instead of just chasing people who evade because they dont wanna pay for a ticket for the 5000th time.

  6. One of the things that actually irks me on RP servers when it comes to relationship is a couple getting together on Monday, in love by Wednesday, and married by the next Tuesday.

  8. 13th of January 2003 - The child of satan was created. It was a gloomy day, Ana María was on her way down to the river to wash some clothes. With two large baskets balanced on a stick, Ana María made her way down the brushy road, trying to maneuver the baskets without having them hit the trees and get knocked away from the stick and fall to the dirt she walked on. All of a sudden Ana María was tackled to the ground, by a masked man, she hit her head against one of the tree trunks and immediately fell into unconsciousness. A while later Ana María came to, confused and in pain she looked down towards her legs and noticed that her pants and panties were pulled down. She felt a surging pain in her private parts and the rush of fear and anxiety washing over her. Ana María started to cry as she got dressed and made her way down to the river in a rush. Once she arrived at the river she jumped in, she felt dirty and disgusted. Logics had by now slipped away from Ana María's mind, the only thing on her mind right now was that she needed to get clean. With a clear disdain and disgust of her own body she began scrubbing away with animosity, almost causing her to inflict wounds with her nail as she scrubbed away. After a while, she washed the brushy dirt path back to her home, crying and paranoid beyond belief. With each step she takes she also peers over her shoulder, scanning her surroundings. 19th of October 2003 - The cursed one In the rural area 13 miles south of Acapulco in a Catholic village Julio was born. His mother couldn't do anything else but to look at him with disgust and disdain, the same feelings that she felt after being raped nine months earlier. It was no secret in the village that he lived at that Julio was the result of a rape, this caused everyone to look at him the same way that his mother did. He was bullied from birth, no one wanted to be associated with Julio, everyone's parents told, no not told, forced their children to not be seen with Julio. 23rd of July 2014 Out of the frying pan and into the fire One day when Julio was around 11 years old he was playing around at a barn, the sun was shining down hard which caused the grass to become super dry. One ray from the sun was aimed straight through a glass shard which caused the heat from it to increase by an insane amount, after a short while Julio could feel the smell of burnt grass. This was nothing new since many villagers actually burned their trash so Julio didn't pay it any attention. Julio was carving on some tree as he felt the warmth inside the barn was increasing, fast. He turned around to see that the edge of the barn was on fire, with a panic riddled expression and a body full of adrenaline he rushed out of the barn. He made it out of the barn by a crawlspace, once outside he looked around and saw that the catholic priest was staring at him. Julio tried to explain that he had nothing to do with the fire but since he was already hated by everyone in the village no one believed him, and why should they? In their eyes he was a beast, a beast who had just set fire to a barn with living animals in it. One could say that this event was the last straw that broke the camels back. The priest chained up Julio in the basement of the church and gathered the villagers. They were going to cleanse Julio by his demon, fight fire with fire so to speak. With that being said they said that only the eternal holy flames can cleanse the demon within Julio. After hours of torture, Julio was let go. His face was so deformed that he looked like something that truly came from hell. The entire left side of Julio's face was covered in burn wounds as if that wasn't enough the priest had deemed it necessary for the public safety to mark Julio like the beast he was so two crudely carved devil horns were placed on his forehead, blood streaming down from the wounds covering Julio's face. Julio spent the next couple of weeks inside, his spirit was destroyed, his faith to a god that had turned his back on him was gone. One night he snuck out of his house and broke into the local church where he stole anything that was worth anything. With the valuable items and money in his possession he made his way out of the village and started walking along the highway, waiting for anyone to pick him up. He had to get out of there or he would die there. 3rd of August 2014 to 1st of May 2020 - The government yo-yo system Between the time when Julio managed to flee from his home village in Mexico to where he is now, he was bouncing around like a yo-yo in the different government systems. Foster family here, foster family there, adoption her and adoption there. No matter what happened Julio still looked like a freak and was treated as such. This made him the constant outsider, he never had any friends or family that truly cared for him. But little did Julio know, things were about to take a turn for the better, or worse depending on who's the judge. 1st of May 2020 to now - Los Santos, Chamberlain Hills, brotherhood and a new family Julio got placed in a foster family that treated him poorly, beatings were not uncommon at all. The fact that Julio barely had to do anything wrong to get a beating he spent most of his days around on the block. The fact of the matter is that this would become Julio's saving grace. He met up with Maniac and Chato, both of which were curious about Julio's backstory, his face had that effect on most people. I mean with scars like Julio it would be very clear that he had a big backpack weighing him down, not to mention the constant marks on Julio's face would be a telltale that Julio was a troubled youth. This was when Julio picked up the nickname Fuego. Chato brought Julio in under his wing like a son and since Julio never had any father present in his life Chato also became a father figure for Julio. In just a couple of days Julio had made more friends than he has had during his entire life. Chato employed Julio at his Arcade and all of a sudden more and more weights from Julio's backpack were lifted away, he finally had someone who looked after him, he had money in his pockets to survive. The only real problem remaining for Julio apart from his faith in God that had left him by now was the fear of his foster parents. Chato felt for Julio and since the looming threat of Julio's foster parents affected Chato's business he acted on it. He was going to put an end to how Julio was treated by his foster parents. Chato and Julio went into the apartment where Julio lived, one thing led to another, and Chato ended up threatening Julio's foster parents with a gun. Knowing who Chato was the beatings stopped immediately. After a while, Julio started getting more and more involved in the illegal side of Chato's business, mainly by being introduced to drugs and the money that comes with it. Julio was hungry for money, that's the only motivation needed so naturally, Julio was selling drugs fast, the money started flowing back to Chato filling both Chato's and Julio's pockets. 22nd of May 2020 - Gods reject, Satans servant One day when Chato had gotten a new shipment of drugs he called up Julio to his apartment. He had got more than just the ordinary drugs like weed and cocaine, he had gotten ahold of psychedelic mushrooms. Together they ate the shrooms and started tripping out. To Julio these shrooms had a much bigger effect than just regular hallucinations. Since Julio's thoughts always were gloomy and dark, ever since his birth the hallucinations that he got became far worse. At first, he felt like his hands were on fire, with panic he rushed into the bathroom, scrubbing his hands under the running water. On his way out of the bathroom he heard whispers inside his head that told him to turn around. Said and done Julio turns around to face a full body mirror, something was wrong, he didn't see his own reflections in the mirror, instead, he saw a creature sporting two horns. Julio began mumbling incoherently to himself, Chato would not have heard the conversation that Julio had with this creature, however, Julio would never forget this conversation. Julio told the devil his backstory, the devil told him that if he were to walk down the path that's called life with him then he would never ever have to feel the same pain that has been plaguing his life. From that day and on, Julio's faith had been placed with the devil.

  9. If it continues to be roleplayed as it is, I think it's great. It was ORGANIC and wasn't forced by IRL events, which for me is the selling point. As long as it remains as well as it has been and doesn't just turn troll, then I think it'll be great for the server. Obviously, this is just my PERSONAL opinion.

  11. Gotta say I really don't agree with that whatsoever. If we were roleplaying in the GTA Universe, Culver City Boys and most other Sureno gangs would either be Vagos or Aztecas, and my faction would be La Marabunta Grande, which it isn't. The only parts of so called 'GTA LORE' (Which imho doesn't even matter because it's some trash story that my 12 year old autistic brother could probably come up with if he was asked to, faster than R* even released the game) We're only required to roleplay the existance of the lore car brands. Everything else is up to the player, if we want to roleplay drinking Corona or Modelo and not pisswasser, we will, etc. If I want to reference COVID IC, I will, because it still happened IC the way I see it, it's just not something that's present in San Andreas and so as a result, we're not required (and are discouraged) from roleplaying it, which I agree with, I don't fuck with Covid 19 and It'll make me uncomfortable rp around it. But the fact that u, on a heavy roleplaying server expect us to roleplay a parody version of the US, as opposed to roleplaying the real US, which most (If not all)) of the real life events having happened kinda worries me. The 2016 election did infact happen because we're roleplaying a US state, meaning our president is Donald J. Trump, not Jock Cranley or any other PARODY of a real life person, North Yankton exists in this universe, yes. That's because North Yankton is based on the US State North Dakota, no other reason. Obviously the war on terror happened, it's a part of the US history, so it should be roleplayed. Obviously COVID shouldn't be roleplayed, period. But protests about racism? I don't see the problem with it, a cop shot down 2 innocent bystanders during a heated situation in characterly, then at the city hall they literally killed even more people. It's being taken IC, there's nothing more to it.

  12. LS is located in the GTA universe. The 2016 Election didn't happen. The War on Terror didn't happen. COVID didn't happen. Nothing that didn't happen on the GTAW server or in the GTA universe happened. Instead, Jock Cranley happened. North Yankton happened. The rest of GTA's satire-world and satire-history happened. If the playerbase needs a rule, staff, give a us a rule. Then we'll all know how much OOC is considered IC, so we can rp accordingly.

  13. what'd you tag me fo- What the. No one should ever ERP just because it's fun. It's not fun. ERP is a sin. Quit it. Relationship RP is a necessary evil. As long as it comes close to ERP but doesn't go into ERP then that's fine.

  14. (This would be in from of an image, posted on multiple social media sites mainly Twitter) On 7/4/2020 during an altercation with police, a racist deputy decided to use the N-Word in the middle of multiple African american males, this is turn forced a response which claimed the lives of multiple individuals specifically BLACK MALES, it's time to end the systematic racism locked into the DNA of Law Enforcement, its time to DE FUND the police. NOBODY called out the DEPUTY for doing what he DID, he was STILL ON DUTY running around with a tax payer funded SHOTGUN. As a society that has been evolved multiple times, you'd expect racism to be the least of our problems. But obviously it's not, besides white privilege, oppression, racism, is our main priority. Jamal was an innocent black man! There's NO reasonable explanation for why this is happening. WE WILL BE ON THE STREETS THIS SUNDAY AND WE WILL NOT STOP UNTIL THIS DEPUTY IS FIRED! SPREAD THE WORD! BLACK LIVES MATTER

  15. I mean this is a difficult one for me to tag. I don't purposely look out of a character to have an IC relationship however, if that's the way the RP naturally goes I'm not impartial to it. It's all about the direction and development of the character for me.

  16. Lmao most of you have never been in a riot and it shows. Listen, I wasn’t at this event but I’ve been reading people replies and I’ve been watch the videos. From what I’m seeing? It was a pretty decent replication of an actual riot. Speaking from personal experience? Random bystanders being attacked isn’t unrealistic, in a riot it is complete anarchy and the only thing stopping someone from killing you? Is they not feeling like killing you. I’ve seen people get stabbed, shot, jumped and gang beat at riots in early June. You look at someone the wrong way? Someone doesn’t like you for some reason? You could be attacked and that’s just the cold hard truth. now I’m also seeing a ton of people focus they’re entire debate on if an officer saying the N word was enough justification to start a riot. What people need to understand is it’s not what started the situation that matters, it’s what cops do in response which escalated the situation into a riot. I’m from Minneapolis, I was at the protests for the first week. George Floyd’s death sparked a protest, it was the actions of the police force on night one that started the riot. You don’t get a riot for one singular reason, it’s a mixture of emotions that are brought on by the situation. On the server we just recently had a video go viral of a deputy using excessive force on someone, the relationship between the black community and Law Enforcement has always been shit. Then you have a sheriffs deputy saying the N word? Sure that action alone doesn’t constitute a riot but when you put them all together it sure does make a nice tipping point. It seems like a small vocal minority is upset about the situation, I really hope that doesn’t effect any future management decisions. From the looks of it, this created Roleplay that will effect characters for months, if not years. For some officers this will be one of the defining moments in their characters story, something that will be baked into the history of the LSPD and LSSD. For the server? The shockwaves from this event will be felt all over the map, creating organic roleplay that the entire community is able to partake in.

  18. This is interesting to me as the riots highlighted the issues of miscommunication (especially between PD and SD) and poor training/resources, do the IC ramifications of that not excite you? What could this lead to, and how can it change the LSPD/LSSD? Whatever one may think of the original incident, the fallout is certainly going to be exciting and I can't wait to see what happens next. I don't even particularly think it was a poor escalation considering the socio-ecomomic dynamics, wars have started over less.

  19. I'm black and my local PD is the NYPD. If you read what I said, "In this situation" people can be mad but it shouldn't of been used as the main crux to then ATTACK the Police. There were way more things that I seen occur that would of justified it. The year is irrelevant when the past 20 years have had enough Police brutality going on and I've met Officers who are minorities who've used the word without incident in more casual settings. Hence my point of, "In this situation." In the climate of the situation, an IC mistake was made and then a bigger IC mistake was made on part of the protesters but the joy of it, it's IC. I don't necessarily agree on the part of the protesters but people have attacked the Police for less so it's not a big deal. Otherwise like I stated before, the Riot itself was fine.

  20. This x24. People started throwing hands and charging a police line empty handed or armed with hammers because a black-mexican deputy from Davis said 'nigga'. Goes to show that people only need petty excuses to go around DMing and instigating fights.

  22. Working at convenience stores in lower LS and Sandy Shores has demonstrated that the community has plenty of adept RP criminal characters. Gang members in Strawberry who buy things they don’t need while they fire off corny pick up lines. Rednecks who do deals around the back of the Sandy Shores 24-7, but provide great conversation about their latest scams. A white supremacist group who suggested to my friend that she should get a nazi tattoo. Two guys I chatted to in a club who I’m fairly sure have something to do with an Albanian organised crime network. I think that the trick is knowing that, although we legal and criminal characters live and work in the same communities, a lot of our interactions will probably be superficial in nature. I mean it takes exceptional circumstances - and I imagine a lot of ic thought and effort - to become intrinsically involved with some of the criminal organisations I have seen around SA. Time that legal characters spend renting a run down apartment, going to and from work, and blowing off steam at night in bars, clubs and restaurants. As long as you ‘bad” characters keep the RP true to life, I’d like to hope the rest of us will do the same in our encounters with you. I will.

  23. my character transferred from the LSPD in gta: san andreas to the LSPD in GTA 5's san andreas (i roleplay GTA san andreas' san andreas as being on an island to the west of GTA 5#s san andreas). this is because they both look different in a lot of ways, including streets, land sizes, and graphics, so they're two separate places. sometimes my character might say he's "going back to san andreas to visit family in blueberry" and this normally creates some confusion with other characters, but then my character will just explain IC that there is a second san andreas on a different island nearby.

SugarDavis: Parcitipates in shooting someone over a brawl which then organically turned into a riot Also SugarDavis: WTF YOU CANT ATTACK US THATS DM Glad majority of PD and FD dont share this dudes opinion. I could also be sitting her complaining about PD shooting someone over punching instead of tazing/using a baton, but I wont because it was IC and Id treat it as an in character problem which resulted in a riot instead of crying about it ooc
