Points System Update 17/07/2020 We have run a successful trial of the system for 1 a half months now. From the start of the system until the end of June, here are the numbers: In total 1074 characters were charged with a crime, given a ticket or issued a license this month. • 838 of those had zero points given to them (represented as ≤) •215 characters were given between 1 and 11 points this month. •20 characters had more than 11 points. •No characters reached 30 points. •One character reached 29 points, the player is currently banned. From this trial, we have concluded that the system doesn't really have enough bite and has not affected any players in a meaningful way. We are going to be adjusting the points per charge up slightly (around 20-30% - except for some of the charges that already carry very high points totals). These are going to be reflected in the penal code from this evening, I want to reiterate that so far no one has ended up in court as a result of hitting 30 points. Hello! I'm really excited to be able to announce the new points-based system that JSA has been working really hard on bringing to the server, this is an evolution on the current judicial system (read about that here), and really pushes the boundaries of judicial role play. This is a trial run for a month and we will be collecting player feedback during this time, if this doesn't work, it will be reverted. What is a points based arrest system? You will now accrue a number of points for the felonies only you are charged with on arrest, these points will add up over time until you hit 30 points, when you do, you will go in front of a judge and stand trial, if found guilty for your charges, you may be sentenced anywhere from life with parole, to death (CK), This will not be the end of your character, you will be able to join programs such as parole via the SD to get back out on the street. 17 Year Old Kid Beat Into Hospitalization At Local Skate Park In Hawick Local Delinquents Beat Down 17 year old boy as people stand by and watch, the identities of the 3 men are have yet to be found out. The men/boys are said to look like they're in there mid teens to early twenties. Hawick Avenue (WNLS) - Aye disturbing video surfaced and has been spreading across social media in the city, no one understands how anyone could pursue with such violent actions. The assault took place on May 27th, 2019, at approximately 10 PM emergency vehicles were called to the skate park on Hawick Avenue across from the bank. If they didn't get there when they did the boy could have died. The brief but violent video shows the 17 year old boy getting brutally kicked and punched while crawling up in a ball, protecting himself as much as he could with the pressure being applied. The bystanders stood by and watched as the boy was beaten into a coma, the doctors are unsure if the boy will fully recover. His mother begs for anyone with information to step forward. The Black, White, and Hispanic suspects have yet to be identified, no affiliations of the men/boys are known if there is any. Footage was shown to the local parents in the area and they were astonished that these type of activities could take place in there neighborhood. Some parents claiming more needs to be done to keep there kids safe. Locals in the area, as well as around other skate parks around town call the delinquents that hang around 'Trench Boyz' or 'Gutter Boyz.' The meaning behind the name is to signify a child or adolescent who has no permanent home, so they take up stealing, begging, or other such activities to earn money for the necessities of life. Background: The Trench Boyz are a wide spread variety of delinquents that enjoy skating, BMX, dirt bike, and quad riders. Most members in the community are between 13 and 24 years old. Trench Boyz can be found anywhere in Los Santos. If there's a skate park you will most likely find one there. The Trench Boyz do not consider themselves as a gang, they're just simply unguided, young and dumb. Young and dumb people do unnecessary actions to try and get what they want, whether it be money, drugs, or power over others. OOC: This faction aims to portray a young community of reckless kids and young adults. The Trench Boyz are not race oriented, they're interest related. This faction will be starting off around Hawick, but will always venture off to attack excitement. This faction will be pursue petty crimes that could lead to consequences and deeper crime that could get them in trouble. Attacking anything that can give them a better chance at getting a better life. By joining this faction you give up all rights for leadership to character kill you or give permissions to a member to character kill you at any given time for any reason they feel necessary. Screenshotting 101 This guide isn’t about how to properly edit screenshots with a software. It’s quite easy in 2020, but if you’re lost, be sure to check out Screenshot Guide (Elite) by @Declan. This guide will be about what’s generally acceptable and unacceptable and what looks good and bad. The guide itself is written by Douglas_Nyswonger and I take no credit for the contents — I merely polished it, reformatted it and removed/reworded faction (or game engine) specific parts. It’s strongly recommended however to review these few points before posting screenshots. 1. Posting quality screenshots Be minimalistic. You don’t have to add ten layers of brushes, effects and all that for your screenshots to look good. Find the perfect angle and add some well-arranged text to it. That’s the trick. Always make sure your text is readable if you include it. Don't scale down the text of your screenshots too much, to the point where it's too tiny to read. Don't butcher your text's outlines or colors, to the point where you can barely see it. The text is the most important part of the picture. Unless you're going for some try-hard blurry distorted picture quality for some reason, you would want your pictures to be crystal clear. If they're low in quality or are blurry around the text, it may be because your software lowers their quality or the image site you upload them to does it. For example, if you upload big pictures to a site like Imgur as an unregistered member, their quality gets decreased. If you save your pictures as JPG instead of PNG on some versions of Windows Paint, their quality gets decreased. You can work around these problems if you want your picture quality to be better. 2. Arrangement of text Be sure to arrange the text properly. Emotes, what the characters say and transactions. You shouldn’t have advertisements, admin messages, private messages, ooc messages etc in your screenshots — they look out of place and should not be shown. Limit your script messages. Don’t add ten green messages stating that you gave some items to someone. It’s clumsy, makes your screenshot boring. Have an emote instead describing the contents being passed over. Show and don't tell — give a gist of what's going on, but don't go crazy with the amount of text you put on. 3. Irrelevant roleplay in screenshots Make sure that your screenshots relate to the core of your roleplay, or what you try to portray. Post screenshots which showcase your character appropriately. Crop out irrelevant lines which aren’t relevant to the scene you’re showing off at all. 4. Blank screenshots Don’t post screenshots with no text present without a strong purpose. That purpose can be anything from showcasing the cool factor, or being self-explanatory where text isn’t necessary.Otherwise, they’re useless and just there to boost your post count with filler material. Don’t post a picture of your character sitting on a bench. Don’t show a picture of your character standing next to a random person. It can pop up sometimes, but for the most part you should be aiming for something different and more meaningful — always aim to showcase dialogues and actions in your screenshots. 5. Solo roleplay Pictures of roleplaying alone should only be posted if they have a purpose. Usually this purpose is related to a previous scenario. Nobody wants to read about a guy arguing with his NPC mother in a block of text or a guy driving around the city alone. That has no purpose. 6. No metagame-worthy screenshots Your character talked shit about their buddy? Great. Keep it to yourself. Making a screenshot out of it will do more harm than good — it’ll only incite the person to metagame that. You’re planning to hit a rival faction tomorrow? Don’t post a screenshot of it. It can potentially lead to metagaming and that ultimately eliminates the organic and fluid aspects of roleplaying. Blank or completely blur out names if you have to. Sometimes even if you hide the names, people can still figure out who you're talking about, so keep that in mind. Remember to hide people's phone numbers in pictures. If there's a corrupt officer working with you — blur his name too. 7. No detailed explicit/grotesque/sexual content Don't post detailed roleplay of you having sex with some girl. Nobody wants to read that. Intimate scenes should be approached lightly. Let the viewer know you were with a partner, but don't go in details about it. The same can be said about roleplay involving torture or rape. Don't showcase such roleplay in great detail in your screenshots. 8. No screenshots of senseless killings Only post screen shots of murders if they are thoroughly roleplayed from start to end. The build up, the reason, the planning, how it happened, text, emotes. That's showcasing good roleplay and giving the scenario validity. Don't just post a picture of yourself aiming over another player in death mode. What does that achieve or showcase? Nothing. Don't just post a picture of a guy with red text over his head. If there is no real backstory or roleplay shown, nobody would care. 9. No "character introduction" screenshots Don't post screenshots of your character standing in front of a wall with a bunch of emotes explaining his whole background or persona. Emotes how someone is a resident of the area, goes to school but plans to drop out, lives with his abusive mother, drives a dirtbike, likes going to the swap meet, and so on. It's information nobody needs to know or wants to know. Show such traits in-game through role play. If you want to write an actual story about your character with actual text — feel free to do so instead. Don't follow this "character introduction" screenshot trend. 10. Don't quote piles of previous screen shots you posted Don't clog the thread unnecessarily by quoting your old screenshots as some prologue to your new screenshots. Put them in spoilers instead. If people want to see old screenshots — they would go to old pages or look through your posts. Put build up screenshots in a spoiler if you want to include them. There's no need for people to post the same screenshots multiple times through quotes. 11. Toggle the HUD Disable your HUD by pressing F7. It looks out of place and has no place on a screenshot. 12. Grammar and punctuation Everyone makes mistakes now and then, but grammar is important. Your pictures would look bad if you continuously make errors in your speech. Use more basic words if you have to. It makes your text harder to read if there's a typo every few lines. Also keep in mind that your sentence always starts with a capitalized letter and ends with a full stop (or question mark/exclamation point). 13. Be sure what you role play is correct If you ever get technical in your roleplay, you need to be sure you have the correct terms and idea of what you're roleplaying. If you're cutting your dope with another substance, research the correct one. If you're buying ingredients to cook meth, sell weed, smoking, drinking make sure to pick one that a store might sell in real life. If you're a gun dealer role playing in-depth around weapons, make sure you're aware of the models you're handling. If you're fixing a vehicle's part, make sure you know what you're doing. Examples can be endless. If there's a mistake in your role play, the whole scenario wouldn't be valid and people can rightfully call you out on it for making the whole scene look silly. Enjoy.

Detailed description: Let news reporters and events broadcast live IC through TV functions. This could be done by letting people ghost view a person in game while they are "broadcasting" or it could be done by making TV's prompt a web page that players could set a custom URL for. Commands to add: /tv on (opens a menu of current broadcasters or URL to pick from) /tv off (turns the TV off) Items to add:Just like safes and house alarms TVs could be items sold at electronics stores that people can install in their homes. How would your suggestion improve the server? Help people build hype toward events and activitys within the community. Putting spotlights on scenes and letting people take part in a interactive way that their characters can experience and discuss. The points are our worlds reflection of the three-strike system. Which is a real life thing. We wanted to give people more lee-way in their crimes, as implementing a straight three-strike system would throw most of the server in jail for life and it wouldn't be at all fair.

Donator Status & World Points Explained Greetings! It's your community neighborhood @Bash again and since I have been helping out with the #support and #newbie-help channels to help relieve the staff team there are a series of questions that are asked quite a bit, opinions that are expressed, and more so I was inspired by @liafriuli to whip something up for you guys. Well here I am. Throughout this post I'm going to cover what it means to be a donator, what benefits are contributed, and so much more. Every detail in this thread are spread out within the community by visiting the shop, digging through the threads, or even watching Nervous himself interact with the community in the #general channel on Discord. This thread puts it all in one place for members to look at for answers. Without further ado... Lets learn you something! I will update this post as things might change and will crossout anything featured before, so it is shown of what the past entailed. What are World Points? - (WP) World Points are a community currency that is converted by donations to be used within GTA:World. They can be redeemed for several things (That I will cover) that benefit the donor for their generosity to fund the community. The items that are purchasable with WP range from packaged donor statuses and virtual pets! Why should I donate? The reason donations are important to GTA:World is because the community honestly isn't free to provide. The costs to maintain and operate the server is astonishing; It is not my place to go in detail the exact cost, but things such as Servers, Data Storage, Data Backup, Player Security/Privacy, Legal Coverage, and more add up. Almost all of us here have paid a subscription to a game such as World of Warcraft, Elders Scrolls Online, etc. The thing is that you pay that subscription to access the server to play. Again the subscriptions I'm going to cover aren't a requirement and at least you gain things to compensate for your generosity. Every line of code, every staff report, staff response, etc is donated time to allow the players to have a world that gives them joy and a break from reality. What is Donor Status and is it Permanent? Donor status is sort of a set of packages that are tiered with different items from the World Points Store. The status is optional and a monthly subscription. Bronze Donor - 50 WP Gold Donor - 150 WP Platinum Donor - 300 WP Subscribing to a donor status is not a contractual thing, you can pay per month, and cancel anytime, so it is not permanent per say. Some features are permanent and all items included are bound to the character slot you select and Forum/UCP Account. Buying donor status is technically cheaper than buying each item one by one.
