I mean considering the fact it prevents metagame by law enforcement and the people who are "supporting" this are mostly LSPD including the one who started this topic that definitely says something in my opinion. I'm not trying to call the LSPD "metagamers", but the inclusion of nametags in vehicles has been heavily misused by the police on this server in the past and I can provide evidence of this if requested. As such I think this addition should be kept as it prevents metagame by everyone not just LSPD and as far as this problem with people breaking rules due to the lack of name tags is concerned. You guys have a database for license plates. Just get the plate on the back of the car, check the database and make the report off that or ask a admin to tell you who's driving the car. This seems like a really easy problem to fix that has been blown out of proportion by certain parties.

SHORT DESCRIPTION: State-Wide Health Care Insurance for all Medical and Allied Service centers. DETAILED DESCRIPTION: Considering we are starting to open medical clinics around the city and medical roleplay is becoming more relevant and desired by a large portion of the playerbase my idea is to create a public fund in which people can pay insurance for to cover their medical expenses. This should be relatively simple as there will be a sitting public fund where when people pay their insurance premiums it adds to the fund and when they pay for their treatments it comes out of the fund rather than their own pocket. REASONING / HOW IT WOULD IMPROVE THE SERVER: Quite often medical treatments can take up quite a lot of time and the cost of these treatments can be quite extensive. To aid those on lower incomes or those with medical conditions that require numerous visits with a consultant this would help ensure they can afford to seek all required treatments, as well as provide a relatively decent income to medical clinic staff. At the moment a problem is that the consultations and sessions can last from 15 minutes to hours yet still earn the same average amount as a retail worker selling an item within 5 minutes. As well as this it can provide LSPD and other law enforcement agencies to have investigations into insurance fraud etc. SCRIPT IMPLEMENTATIONS: A public fund will need to be created that is accessible with the following commands. The City of Los Santos should have access to view the funds amount as well as change and edit the insurance premium amount and IC legal requirements. Patients should be given a card (similar to a license) upon receiving medical insurance and that will be how they pay for their consultations and treatments. COMMANDS TO ADD: For the Los Santos City Council / State Government: /checkhealthfund - Checks the balance of the Public Health Insurance Fund. /sethealthfund - Sets the cost of Insurance Premiums for Patients/Clients /stophealth - Temporarily puts a hold on accessing the Public Health Insurance Fund /allowhealth - Allows access to the Public Health Insurance Fund again For Patients & Clients: /buyhealth - Allows the patient to purchase health insurance. This can either be for a set standard of time such as the 12 months license or can be offered different lengths of time to help with cost pricing, or a small portion can come out of each pay on a permanent basis until cancelled /cancelhealth - IF decided that the insurance will be permanent until cancelled then this command can be used by patients to stop their insurance. /payhealth - The most important command of all. This is used to pay for treatments and consultations instead of /pay at Medical Clinics and other health related centers and the money will come out of the insurance fund rather than their own pocket. The payment receiver will receive the money just like they would if it were /pay. This should also be enforced by OOC rules stating it can only be used in medical clinics so it is not used for other purposes, just how ICly healthcare cards are only accepted at medical and health clinics. Or to increase RP that OOC rule can be scrapped and Law Enforcement can have more investigation based RP based around fraudulent healthcare transactions etc. ITEMS TO ADD: Only a health care card which would be like a license would need to be added. Take it for a real life example... you'd ask him to roll his window down and get a look at his face, take a description and get his ID. This is basic police work if you ask me. Pull him over, take his plate > Pull registration and ownership > Confirm that's the driver and go from there.

There's been a lot more support for this change than against it. This thread isn't the only place that we have received feedback. It's not going to be reverted because a loud minority in one faction wants it back. If the majority of the community at large wants it changed, then we can consider it. Based on actually being in-game as an admin and speaking to other admins, we haven't had many issues with identifying people driving cars. All we need is the model name. The type of people who have been using this to get away with doing things are the same people complaining to Bjork, KV and I that there was no proof that they were driving. There's plenty of videos here that could have been sent to admins in-game since we have many ways of identifying who was driving a vehicle. It's on you if you suddenly stopped reporting it. The same people complaining were the fastest to report someone before the nametag change.

Bruh that's illegal. You're allowed to have sex if you're 15 IN THE REAL WORLD, you as an adult ARE NOT allowed to write about a 15 year old having sex. Don't get arrested folks. Part of the reason why I really think we should ban underage roleplay. You're engaging in illegal shit that could land you on a list and ruin your life. And quite frankly, it could get the server in trouble too considering it's where it happens.

The neighborhood of Chamberlain Hills has been home to violent street gangs since the early ’40s. Originally a middle-class white neighborhood, with the influx of African Americans and Hispanics to the area the demographics of the area quickly changed. A good dozen amount of gangs sprung up in the area claiming their territories with graffiti and fighting in parking lots, alleyways, and in the streets of Chamberlain. One such gang that sprung up during the ’50s was Los Lobos or simply the Wolves. It was started by a group of males who simply meant to protect their homes and the people that lived in the area. The Wolves were predominantly Hispanic although they allowed non-Hispanics to join their ranks. This allowed the gang to control its area and able to stand toe to toe with much larger gangs out of the area such as the Forum Boys, an African American gang that would eventually become a crip clique. A veteran to the gang warfare Gerald “Pops” Jackson recalls the violence from the neighborhood: “You had all kinds of fighting going on in Chamberlain Hills or uh C-Hills as people from the area liked to call it you know hehe. Things got outta hand I remember being with my wife one day on Carson Avenue where everyone would go and hang out, get a bite to eat you know whatever. Boys from my side of town were hanging out where normally the brown boys, the uh Wolves hung out it was a lot over by one of their streets. We were all smoking and drinking this was around the evening so you know we shouldn’t have been there but haha we were there. Suddenly, and when I mean suddenly it was SUDDEN a bunch of them brown boys and gals too were rushing us with bats, bottles, one of the girls she had like uh uh uh what you call them thangs that be on the cars. An exhaust pipe yeah yeah she had a dang ole pipe and clocked me upside my head with it. I’m thinking “shit I gots to get the fuck outta here or she might kill me” nobody died but people were hurt and some kid who had nothing to do with neither of us got injured. During the 70’s the gangs of Chamberlain Hills had become increasingly more violent and Los Lobos had stepped up its game with the purchase of illegal firearms. The war with its rivals grew more dangerous as murders started to be committed with both sides feeling the loss. One of the first murders documented in this escalated war was when Gerald Jackson's friend Anthony Robinson who they called “Lil baddy” was killed by Los Lobos member Jorge “Buckshot” Zelaya. The story goes that Zelaya had been harassed by Jackson days before the shooting. Jackson had not only disrespected Zelaya's girlfriend but he had also disrespected Zelaya's gang, Los Lobos. Gerald Jackson’s comments on respect: “Nah see here, you cannot go around doing that. Disrespect in this world, especially when we talking bout these young niggas out here nowadays they will kill ya for just talking bad about they gang you can’t do that. It’s a deathwish. A certain deathwish as we found out with ole Lil Baddy's case”. Zelaya was arrested and charged with murder nights later by the local police of the Chamberlain Hills area. Police found it surprising that Zelaya had admitted to his crime with little to no remorse. Los Lobos at that moment of the murder were partly shocked because no one from the gang had committed such an act of violence. The gang was proud in turn for what Zelaya had done and was quick to follow its example. A former gang member, who wishes to have his identity concealed, told the crew about the time after Zelaya had shot the rival. “People were armed to the teeth man, hiding guns all over the neighborhood in shacks, in people’s yard. I remember as a kid I had found a twenty-two caliber handgun just lying under in a bush. Los Lobos stepped up the violence and Chamberlain Hills started becoming a very dangerous place. Every gang started arming themselves and if you were in the wrong part of the neighborhood you wouldn't make it home. There was no going home if you got caught by rivals without getting jumped, beat down, humiliated, or shot and killed”. Chamberlain Hills had become a living nightmare for residents and with the coming of the crack epidemic, the violence only worsens as gangs battled for drug turf and their reputation. Los Lobos had survived decades of gang warfare with little police disturbances but during the late ’80s and early ’90s started facing trouble. Rivals of the gang had cliqued up together and started forming larger and more deadly gangs that numbered Los Lobos 3 to 1. It was at this time that Los Lobos aligned itself with the growing Crooked Vigilantes gang that had been blooming out of this time period. The gang started to claim and show its loyalty to the number 13 and for this, they received assistance in the war against their rivals from other Sureno gangs that flew under the banner. MODERN TIMES: Today the gang refers to itself as the Chamberlain Varrio Tortilla Flats (CVTF). The gang is small in numbers but what it lacks in numbers it makes for in criminal activity & violence where Los Lobos had always established its reputation from. Like many Sureno gang, CVTF has members of not just Mexican origin. They have a range of different Central American nationalities and even Caucasians have been noted to be able to join the gang’s ranks.

The suggestion was well formulated, and all that but---.... I just don't see the reason. If this is added, why not add property tax, tax deductions, business entities tax, social security, penalties for missing tax, IRS... Then you might aswell make GTA:W into a ultra-realistic taxes, health care, and insurance payments simulator! That was just... a fancy way of saying I don't support it. -1 (I don't see how new players will see it as an attractive thing. More like an ugly inconvenience for some, In my opinion atleast.

Also could y'all stop saying you have "heavy support" for this idea. That's just not accurate. Much of the server as expressed in this chat are against the idea of bringing back nametags as it encourages metagame. Nametags were removed due to metagame and until the community as a whole can learn to not metagame and keep things IC. I doubt they will return.

DEPUTY-INVOLVED-SHOOTING LEAVES ONE DEAD — POWER STREET, STRAWBERRY January 29th, 2020 — It is with great sadness that the Department reports it has lost one of its own deputies earlier this morning in a deputy-involved-shooting. At approx. 03:00 AM, a patrol deputy assigned to Sandy Shores Sheriff's Station conducted a traffic stop on a grey Declasse Rancher XL in the area of Power Street in Strawberry with regards to a traffic violation. The vehicle had three suspects occupying it at the time. Upon approaching on foot, the deputy was fired upon by the subjects in the vehicle. The suspect vehicle fled the scene and the subjects are still at-large at this time. Officers of the Los Santos Police Department responded to several 9-1-1 calls regarding the incident and were able to assist. Despite the emergency services' best efforts, Deputy Sheriff Robert Hare, 37, was pronounced dead upon arrival after sustaining several gun shot wounds. Robert Hare was committed to his duty and will be remembered as an outstanding member. He is the true embodiment of what the Los Santos Sheriff's Department stands for, and he is survived by his family composed of a loving wife and two teenage sons. The Department extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and community members who were close to this fine deputy. The Los Santos Police Department's Detective Bureau is currently spearheading the investigation into the murder of Deputy Robert Hare — anyone with information surrounding the incident is encouraged to contact law enforcement. Valuable information will result in a substantial reward offered by the LSSD.
