  1. January first, a night of terror for Los Santos By Gerald Marchetti Last updated Jan 7, 2020 12:11 PM. LOS SANTOS: Gruppe 6 works night and day around Los Santos to secure various locations and properties under their 'Town watch program'. Such duties include checking on properties to make sure their doors are locked and that they are free of vandalism. This particular evening a unit had been sent down to do such a check on a property located on Roy Lowenstein boulevard, Davis. Between 10 and 11 PM, Richard Hampton is nearby - out on an evening patrol of his own, he decides to tag along with the unit to check the property out. The moment the employees step out of their vehicles, like something out of an action movie, they immediately face automatic gunfire from across the street. Unaware as to why they are being shot at, Hampton jumps behind his own vehicle in an attempt to take cover, his colleague finding himself pinned down behind a metal bin nearby. Upon speaking to Hampton, he believes they had intercepted a robbery and suddenly found themselves in the midst of it all. Richard Hampton was quoted in saying; "That same property was robbed a few days ago prior getting secured by us." In a stressful attempt to scream for his colleague to contact the police whilst he shot back towards the individual that had opened fire. In the darkness of the winter evening - all he saw and could return fire against was the muzzle flash. Claiming he withdrew as best he could and shot back in the direction in an attempt to cover himself. Hampton tells us that the muzzle flash was in an alley between two buildings, making him sure the perpetrator was there. "I shot back against the flashes and kept firin' while my colleague called 9-1-1." - Richard Hampton Finally the sound of sirens are approaching, but at this point Hampton could no longer see any muzzle flashes or hear any shots coming from the alley. He had stopped shooting himself and awaited the presence of the police. In the chaotic moment as police arrive, they rushed towards the alley where the perpetrator was previous spotted. Once back on his feet and coming over there himself, Hampton could see that the perpetrator had passed away, and was dead on the ground. "Nobody knows who killed him." Hampton states. "It could have been me and it might've been the PD, but I didn't see the PD shooting." The body had been covered by a blanket when Hampton made it over there, making him unable to identify the person that had opened fire on him and his colleague. Upon the finalizing of the situation, Hampton was surprised to find it that the police did not question him nor inspect the somewhat ruined vehicles. When asked if he spoke to the police at all, or even got credit for getting involved in such a crime being prevented, Hampton responded; "They just left and frowned at us as if we made 'em go there and have to deal with it. Like I disturbed their peace or somethin'. They weren't really interested in investigating the thing." We have of course reached out to the Los Santos Police Department and are waiting on a response to this, but so far we have not received a statement. The article will be updated should we receive anything. But for now, the Los Santos Police Department has been quiet about the incident. Upon being asked if him or his employee suffered any injuries - Hampton ensures that both him and his colleague came from the incident unharmed. And that the only real damage that came his way, were shattered glass spraying over him from the vehicle being struck by multiple bullets. Their vehicles however, suffered major damage. Hampton is thankful they were properly insured before he came into this whole ordeal. "We've been gettin' lots of situations recently as we increase our client base but haven't had a shots fired situation till now." - Richard Hampton (Pictures taken of the ruined vehicles shortly after the shooting took place. The vehicles were used as cover against the rain of automatic fire. Credit: Richard Hampton) Hampton agrees that this could definitely have ended in a bloodbath, had he not showed up alongside his colleague. He states that it is important they prevented the robbery of the property, as well as getting away unscathed. Their presence being purely coincidental. No alarms had gone off in the neighborhood, their program showing that their presence may indeed be needed in these areas as well. Making a point out of their 'town watch program'. Hampton clarifies that they rarely get alarms or calls down in the Davis area. He states they rarely get contracts in the area, believing that the locals wish to protect themselves. This sets a dangerous and violent standard for the new year. Follow us for updates and more on Facebrowser. 3. ↤↤↤↤↤ ?α?ί ↦↦↦↦↦ Nickname: Javi DOB: 26-MAY-2002 Gender: Male weight: 152 lbs Height: 5'7'' Languages: Spanish | English Sinopse Javi grew up in a very troubled family and himself became a problem. The school was something beyond Javi. His parents were constantly called out due to the troubles he was involved in, daily. Many were the times that Javi was sent home for beating on other kids or even robbing their lunch's food. The teenage was overall influenced by a local gang and he was seeking to prove himself, make a name for himself on the streets. Such events led to a deeper involvement in this movement and he was slowly put in to perform a few tasks. When he was only thirteen, he was put selling drugs on the corner of the hood, therefore he made some money for himself since his parents always seemed too busy to care about his person. As time goes, Javi grows and his thirst for power grows even more. He was put in small-time robberies where one of them went all types of wrong. The involved parties were all caught and that costed their freedom. Javi was too young, therefore he was judged in a different way and they stacked his charges. He was sent to the juvie with the age of fifteen. Javi is now 17 and has already left the juvie, however, when arriving in the neighborhood he came across the door of his apartment fully open. Not surprisingly, when their parents no longer lived there, Javi took his position and settled down. In desperation and penniless, Javi embraced his old life-style but this time without his old friends that are still behind bars.

  4. There are a lot of cars that need their prices adjusted. Every time I brought this up, it was always met with the same response. "Prices are staying as-is" without further explanation. A Declasse Premier costs as much as a Declasse Vigero (classic muscle car). Why does a Zirconium Stratum cost $66,000 registered? For the same price I could get a Declasse Tampa. A Vapid Scout is basically a Ford Explorer. Why does it cost $110,000? What makes it special? If it's got the upgraded performance, that's a different story but still doesn't justify the price. I can get an Ocelot Jackal for less than the price of a Scout. I can get a Benefactor Streiter (which is a Mercedes IRL) for less than the price of an Annis Kawii (A Mazda Miata MX5 - this is not a rarity). It's time to take a harder look at this. I also understand that IRL money =/= GTAW money and the money earned in-game is much faster than that of real life. I'm not complaining about the price point, as money is easily earned with some time spent playing the game. A lot of these vehicles are just placed in the wrong price tiers (as mentioned in the examples in the first paragraph) for what the car's value is (rarity, performance, etc.) compared to others.

  5. Samuel Camastra, 46, was caught in an ambitious police attempt to penetrate organized crime at its highest level PHILADELPHIA — As Samuel Camastra was getting arrested last year on serious drug trafficking charges; he asked federal agents for a moment alone with his family before being taken away from them. He exchanged hugs and kisses with his wife and his 3-year-old daughter and high-fives with his 12-year-old son. The hearing that followed sooner after was about Camastra's family. It started, however, with family of a different sort. Camastra, 38, was caught in an ambitious police attempt to, as officials said at the time of his arrest, penetrate organized crime at a rather high level and features a co-operating turncoat mobster becoming an "Associate" of a Philadelphia branch of the American Mob. The probe gathered a treasure trove of revelations and allegations in recorded conversations, capturing professed secrets, gossip and internal affairs. The wiretaps, although untested in court, suggest a re-evaluation of some of what is publicly known about the current state of legendary mafia organizations in the U.S., and specifically in Philadelphia's Northen District.

  6. Short description: A script, which allows players to acquire and posses a specific item in which they can write. Detailed description: Blank notebooks and books which players can acquire by purchase and upon possession can write in their notepad book or any other similar item. Whenever they need to write something down they can use the commands mentioned below which would open a simple text box or something similar, depending of the item they are using. Upon usage they could write whatever they wished into their item and save it for later usage. Commands to add: /notepad /book Items to add: Books ; Notepads or any similar items in which players can write. How would your suggestion improve the server? Upon feeling the need, people can write something down they might forget and need to recall further on. This can vary anything from names, food recipes to statements collected by the police. As in real life it's up to the person itself what they wish to write in their possessed notebook or any similar item. It would make it much easier for individuals to collect information they need without having to use anything not in-game or in-character. Everything can be simplified by possessing a simple and easy to use item. Additional information: N/A

  7. Short description: Allow boats to hold fish in their inventory, currently they are listed the same as cars (probably to stop people from filling up cars unrealistically) and it makes the boats a little redundant in terms of their usability. Detailed description: I've seen a few suggestions with positive support for changes to the fishing system, My suggestion is simply to allow boats to hold fish and allow it to run similar to how the trucking system works see >>Feature Showcase : Trucking & Suppliers<<. This is aimed at changing the current state of shore-line fishing with minimal work, Go stand at Sandy Shores at peak and folk fly in with vehicles, people barely talking and /fish before diving back in their vehicle and racing to /sellfish. This would at least make use of the boats for people who were fishing seriously with no heavy implementations needed. A lot of the time players solo-grind the fishing job for their own profit with minimal RP, if players can own boats and fish and take on a "crew" or companies pop up it increases player interaction. Considering right now everyone pulls up with a dufflebag to load up 15,000G of fish, the boats hold 40,000G up to 100,000G which would be a much bigger sale but for a longer period of time and it's not a quick process.. The tug boat is slow so it's not like you're flying through the sea to make sales and on top of the fact that you also need to move it from the boat to the sale point which is on land. You can for sure pull a tug-boat up to piers to fish and probably dinghies also, in my opinion this is a small change that could make a big impact in the way /fishing works and make it a little bit easier for staff that they don't need to do some mad overhaul or add anything complicated. And not to mention it also goes against common sense. That being said there could be a great reason for it not being there.. So.? Commands to add: Allow us to store caught fish inside sea vehicles. Items to add: N/A How would your suggestion improve the server? I believe it would improve the state of the current /fishing job, it would increase traffic on the maps surrounding water and probably add to more than just those fishing but also add to EMS/PD/FD interactions. Additional information.

  8. BACKGROUND Blaine County houses a developing organized crime group mainly based in Sandy Shores. The outlaw group is mainly known for various crimes such as gun smuggling, distribution & sale of illegal alcohol, prostitution, and narcotics. The group is highly known for it's recklessness and violence. SANDY SHORES Sandy Shores is known for it's extreme rural community and it's small town hospitality. It's a community oriented town where every individual knows everyone. The majority of the people do not take kindly to association with the law because they would rather sort it out themselves. The people of Sandy Shores would rather govern themselves then pick up a phone and dial the infamous three numbers. Located at the northeast tip of the Alamo Sea, Sandy Shores is a thriving agricultural and industrial community involved in the manufacturing of high-fructose corn syrup and meth. 9. Hi, First of all I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year! The past two months have seen a huge increase in activity across all time zones. With many more players roleplaying in-game, it has created a lot more work for the admin team. To make sure the admin team can keep up with demand, we have decided to bring five Support members into the admin team as Trial Admins. We have also promoted four admins to Level 2 to make sure we have additional admins to assist in training. We have a lot of projects planned for the next few months. There is quite a lot to cover so I have included everything in a separate announcement that can be found by clicking here. We have also made a thread to explain how to approach staff members about particular issues. The aim is to make sure you go to the right person first rather than approaching the incorrect staff member. This thread can be found here. And finally, I want you to join me in congratulating the staff members that have been promoted this month, as well as our new Support members that are joining the staff team. Keane Admin Promotions Game Administrator Level 1 to Game Administrator Level 2 @Dashing @Knoxville (promoted to Assistant Head of Illegal FM) @lambchops @Optimus Dime Trial Administrator to Game Administrator Level 1 @Cara Support to Game Administrator Level 1 @Davis Support to Trial Administrator @Anselmi @Bombie @Fenrir @MikeTheMike @Selena New Support Team Members The following members of the community will be offered a chance to join the staff team as Community Support. Any Reserved members not on this list are considered to be denied. @Groz @Rumbunctious The new Support members will be sent a PM on the forums with further instructions. There were no applicants considered for reserved status this month. If you applied for the staff team and your name is not on this list, you have unfortunately been denied. You may contact @FullyCanadian or @KV for feedback and the denial reason. Any denied applicants may not reapply until the staff application wave in March 2020. Denied applicants may not reapply before then.

  14. Yeah we def aren't trying to pull off a hospital right now. We're going to open up a medical clinic/walk in clinic to see where we can take it and see how much interest on this server we will get for it.
    1 point
  15. A hospital might be very hard to pull-off due to the general large amounts of people needed to operate one IRL from nurses, doctors, hospital administrators, anesthesiologist and more. Simply put, it might be hard to find all the people needed for it. However, a private clinic could easily be a realistic and interesting concept along with it being easier to attract the people you need to operate it. Here in the USA, there are countless clinics that provide same-day services for all types of aliments from a sprained ankle to the flu. There are even a few that provide x-ray services, lab-testing, and minor surgeries. Google 'Walk-in Clinic' for Los Angeles and you will see countless clinics of this type. Thus, I really do like your idea and hope it comes to fruition. Good luck!

  16. I know of somebody IC'ly that is trying to open up a privately owned walk in clinic, unsure of their name on the forum or Discord. But they're trying to open one close to the "ghetto" area's to offer healthcare to those less fortunate or RP'ing as poor, or on low income. This may help with what you're looking for as I'm sure they'll need people to help out with treatments.

  17. Staff Points of Contact The following thread will be used to clarify which members of the staff team should be contacted for specific issues. This is to ensure the workload is spread evenly and that the most relevant staff member is contacted first. Please remember that these staff members deal with many requests a day, so an instant response is not always possible. Each staff member should be contacted via forum PM to make it easier to track your request. Discord DMs can be difficult to keep track of due to the large volume of them that staff members receive daily. Staff document everything on the forums to ensure that it is properly documented and to ensure that someone can take over should they go on absence or resign from the team. Nervous As the founder of the community, Nervous has a huge workload. He should only be contacted for issues that only he can handle. Examples of these issues are donation issues, development issues and issues with members of the Management team. @Nervous - Founder Management Management should only be contacted for issues relevant to areas they oversee, and for anything that an admin elsewhere in the team cannot cover. Frezemis is responsible for the staff team. Shanks should be contacted for anything relating to factions (IFM/LFM). Selena is responsible for Property Management & Pillsbury is responsible for RPQM, Social Media and Forum Moderation. @Shanks - Head of Faction Management @Selena - Head of Property Management @Pillsbury - Head of RP Quality, Social Media & Forum Moderation Administrators For any issues or questions about admins or the admin team in general, Odin should be contacted. Other points of contacts can be Pepper or Zani as they are on the staff management subteam as well. @Frezemis - Head of Staff @Zani - Head of Admins @Adv - Head of Support @Pepper - Senior Administrative Admin Side Support Staff Adv is responsible for the support team, so he should be the first person you contact for anything relevant to the support team. @Adv - Head of Support Faction Management For issues with factions, Shanks (who is head of faction management) should be contacted. The Head of Faction Management should only be contacted if it is an issue either the Head of Illegal Factions or Head of Legal factions cannot handle. @Shanks - Head of Faction Management @Sharvit - Assistant Head of Faction Management - Legal @honey. - Assistant Head of Faction Management - Illegal @Igloo - Assistant Head of Illegal Faction Management @slothy - Senior Illegal Faction Management @Lucky - Senior Illegal Faction Management @Hood - Senior Legal Faction Management Legal Faction Management Sharvit, is currently the assistant head of faction management, they are the point of contact for anything relating to legal roleplay on the server. Faction leaders should go to their assigned faction handler. @Sharvit - Assistant Head of Faction Management / Head of Legal Faction Management Illegal Faction Management Shanks is currently the assistant head of faction management, so he is the primary point of contact for all illegal roleplay. Like Legal FM, faction leaders should go to their faction handler before going to the Head of Illegal Factions. @honey. - Assistant Head of Faction Management / Head of Illegal Faction Management Roleplay Quality For concerns about roleplay quality, you can send a roleplay quality report which can be found here. For any issues that don't require a report, you can contact any member of roleplay quality. @Exodus - Head of RPQM Team Properties, Businesses and Related Topics The best place for anything relating to properties or businesses is the Property Management Discord server. Members of Property Management actively check this to give assistance to players. You can join by clicking this link: https://discord.gg/EGArbSN. You can also contact Selena who is the Head of PM or Lomadias who is the Assistant Head of PM. @Selena - Head of Property Management @Lomadias - Asst. Head of Property Management @Kyra - Head of Mapping Property Leasing General leasing questions should go to the Property Management Discord server. @Soup - Head of Leasing Property Requests Like leasing, questions should go to the Property Management Discord server. 20. How's it going, man? I hear you want to walk on the steps of how to be a proper San Andreas hippie. Well I tell you what, man, it’s not as easy as you might think. Picking up a tie dye shirt, getting a headband over your head and smoking a blunt doesn’t make you a hippie, amigo. So pick up your notebook and a pen and listen up… Actually, screw the notebook, too many trees are being cut to make it. It’s killing the environment. INTRODUCTION The hippie movement initially started off as a youth counterculture of the 1960s, along with other groups that were mostly composed of people who protested against war, fought for civil rights, free speech and of course equality. It’s believed by many that the hippies came from San Fierro, and so the city became known as “The place where man can escape the man”. I won’t go into full detail as to how the hippie movement started off, dude, I’m not an Wikipedia article. You just have to know that it boomed during the 1960s, especially after 1967, when the famous “Summer of Love” festival went on. Tents, Crazed-ass music and a lot of mescaline vodka, which leaves us to the next chapter. CHARACTERISTICS 1.1 - The art If you probably haven't realized already, man, the hippies are the founding fathers of the psychedelia subculture you've probably heard about. When you want to picture yourself a hippie the first thing you go to, man, is the atmosphere, the buzz, the vibe. Getting the perfect vibe means getting your hands on the perfect sound, and that's the music, dude. Now, the oldies prefer the sweet sound of a psychedelic rock record, some classic hard rock and even some heavy metal. Stuff like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix and the list goes on, dude. However in the recent years some hippies have started adopting some newer sounds, especially in the metal area, with the introduction of stoner rock/doom metal. Sounds of bands like Kyuss, Electric Wizard, Down, 1000mods and Sleep now populate the speakers of the hippie festivals nobody should know about. If it gives you that good trippy feeling, man, the sound is good to go. Now the imagery, man, the painting. You can't be a hippie without knowing how to decorate your place/car/everything into giving you the perfect buzz, man. YGHtPPV, dude, a.k.a. You - Gotta - Have - The - Perfect - Psychedelic - Vibe. I wish I had the words to explain to you what I mean, man, but maybe these pictures are gonna give you the right idea: 1.2 - The fashion This one's an easy one, friend. If you can't get this one out then why you should even try? It's okay, man, I'm only kidding. Hippies are about accepting, so we're gonna let you in anyways, even if you look like an idiot, you're bound to learn, right? And the time for learning is now, dude. You can pretty much wear whatever you want (as long as it's nothing too offensive or too superficial now, you know? Oh and most importantly, no brands, man, everything either self-made, bought at flea shops or second hand) but you know, tie-dye clothes, man, they're a must to have in your pile, even if you don't wear it. One of the most important things to have as a hippie is the long hair, friend, whether you're a man or a woman. Dudes often had beards, and chicks wore little to no makeup, and go all day without bras. And now, accessories, man, you'll always see a hippie wearing them: headbands, head scarves, those long beaded necklaces and the list goes on. Again, you probably know all these man from all those pictures you've seen of different events, which we'll talk about later. 1.3 - The beliefs When I say "beliefs", friend, there's three things I'm talking about here: Sex, Religion and Politics. SEX: Many used to say that hippies were "promiscuous, having wild sex orgies, seducing innocent teenagers and every manner of sexual perversion.", many of which were kinda true, but it had nothing to do with hippies, man, I tell you, it was all just some bad timing. But you know what we did? We took it and made it become something, man. "If it feels good, do it".. classic line. RELIGION: We don't bother with Christianity, man. If anything Christianity kills cultures, and remember that. We instead go for more spiritual stuff, like Hinduism, Buddhism, Sufism, you name it. There are some very spiritual hippies out there, friend. We call them "high priests", they can give you more detailed teaching on practices you should go through to experience spirituality at a new level, man. POLITICS: We couldn't care less about politics, man, but if you want to label us as something, you could label us as libertarians, I guess. We're pacifist, friend, and that's all there is to it. Make love, not war. 1.4 - The drugs I bet you were waiting for this one, man. It's time to talk about the thing that makes the hippie a hippie... psychedelic drugs. And the most important of all: dope, pot, grass, you name it. When it comes to weed friend, you have many different types of hippies, but we're gonna talk about the most common ones: The Grower and The Consumer. Now, do I really need to go into detail about it, man? Yup, I do. - The Grower: The dude, the man you're looking for when you're out of lucky trees. They grow it, they know everything about growing it, they can find you the best weed. These guys tend to go a bit away from the commune though, man, and adopt a lone wolf lifestyle, like way lone wolf, man. If you have no experience, these guys are gonna be a though one to find, cause you know, they're lone wolf and well lone wolves are alone and like... You know what I mean. They usually sell their stuff, but some are kind enough to give them out for either free, or a very small price, only condition is that they have to smoke with you. - The Consumer: The most common type of hippie you can ever find, dude. And when I mean it... I mean it. You'll find these toking them, talking about them, passing them around, but never selling them. They usually buy from the growers, or from other people. They never really tell you, unless you're worthy of knowing, know what I mean? Like I said, you also have other types of hippies when it comes to psychedelics, dude. You just have to find them out for yourself. IMPORTANT EVENTS & PEOPLE Now that you know how and what the hippie thinks, man, it's time to get on going to my favourite subject: History of the San Anne Hippy. Don't worry, you don't really need to remember all of these, you'll probably forget half of them after your third acid trip, it happens to everyone. But if you want to be far out, you should listen to some of these: 2.1 - Events - "Get The Hell out of Vietnam!" protests: We talked about how pacifist we were, man, but when there's war out there, the hippies were out to stop it. Loads of people gathered out and protested against the Vietnam War, but did they listen to us? They didn't.. And now look what happened. - The PsycheyD-Gathering: Back in 1966, man, the damn government decided to make LSD illegal, because they were too mad we were right about war, and well.. We didn't like it, man. Around seven or eight hundred hippies gathered around the Gant Bridge Park and protested, in our own way. We showed the people that LSD doesn't turn you into a lunatic, man. Because, to be frank, it doesn't. - Summer Of Love: the place where everything started, dude. If you're talking to one of the old schools, they're surely gonna remember this one. 100,000+ people, man, that's like... TOO MANY, dude. Tents, loud psychedelic rock, drugs and most importantly, friend: love, friendship and equality. Random people who joined us, dude, went out enlightened. - The Great Communes: After Summer of Love, we started calming off into our own realm of wonders, and starting making large communes around the places. One of these largest communes were The Dandelion Fields and The Village. The Dandelion Fields were mostly just a normal commune, with hippies taking off into their day to day lives, the numbers sure helped them. The Village is a different story, one of the most spiritual place in all of hippie culture, dude. I mean like, so far out that even the furthest out can't even out it, you know. That's where you find the High Priests, if you know how to search for The Village. - Psychestivals: Your usual psychedelic rock festivals, dude, like the Summer of Love, only not much to remember from them, unless you were there. Though there was a very crazy one during 1986, man, that most people call the Fierro '86 Love-In, but we call it "Psychedeliczilla Festival". You won't believe how many psychedelics people took that day, man.. I think we broke three records in one week. 2.2 - People - The Merry Pranksters: A group of hippies and followers of the novelist and fellow traveler, Ken Kesey, one of the most far out dudes out there when it comes to the psychedelic life. Anyhoo, these Greenwits were super into how far out Ken was, that even started living communally at his home in Bayside. They were known for dealing LSD and all other types of magic to a local biker chapter, but most importantly, they were known for "The Great Greenwit Escapade of 1964", when Ken Kesey and the Pranksters all got along in this cool bus called "Furthur" and traveled through the U-S of A. - The Diggers: San Fierro Activisits and Street Actors who started mocking the 60s government and the issues around it, as long as some other problems in the USA at that time, including the sudden commercialization of the hippies, dude. But, man, most of our real fellow travellers knew deep inside that they were right, and that we were slowly becoming the very thing that we disliked the most, but after all we didn't try doing anything about it, in the 70s we were as mainstream as pop music, but nowadays we're all good. These digger guys also organized some kind of mock event called "Death of the hippie", don't know much about that, really. They weren't bad guys, they even gave out free stuff to the people. Maybe they were fellow travelers, like all of us. - Yippies: A couple of rogue offshoot hippies who started parodying the government and different political parties. They were funny, I'll have to be honest, especially the piggy. But, like the diggers, they were also mocking some of their own fellow travelers. - John Lennon: How can you not know John Lennon, man? - Charles Manson: I don't even want to talk about this superficial scum, dude. - Blake "Merlin" Batty: Fellow traveler and creator of Beam Me Up. The Blaine County government has once tried to stop his by hiring a toxic waste specialist to test the soils around, which at first showed high level of toxicity in the area. Merlin and his followers protested against this and ordered a second test to be taken, and thus the test came back negative, and no toxic waste was used into making Beam Me Up. LANDMARKS An important part of being a hippie, man, is knowing your places. Here we got some of the most known hippie landmarks in all of San Andreas, man. BEAM ME UP What we have here is the pure work of the modern hippie, dude. People who have seen that the problems of today's society can't be fixed anymore, so they've decided to gather around and work on getting help from our own universe, man. And now time for some more history: The creation of the mountain started back in like 1990, when a super cool dude by the name of Blake "Merlin" Batty decided it was time to try and gather the people of Blaine County and seek help from aliens. At first, he got a little bit of kicking around from certain locals, dude, but that only encouraged the hippies to come out and help the man express himself. It only took him adobe, straw, and thousands of gallons of lead-free paint to get the creation done. Unfortunately though, in 2010, old Merlin died of a heart attack, but the hippies can still be found at Beam Me Up, working on keeping the place clean, because of all the vandals coming around the place, like some idiots who thought it was a cool idea to show off their loud muscle cars at the place, only to leave a huge mess. CERES VALLEY The only standing hippie commune in Blaine County, as of now. Here's where your fellow travelers hang around. The community was an usual trailer park during the start of the 80s, but as time went on, the place is now basically a prime hang around spot for all the fellow travelers. SUNSET SHORES / STAB CITY Even though it might not look like it, man, Sunset Shores was and currently is used by fellow travelers as a get-along hang-around place every now and then, because of The Range and all. On your day to day life you'd mostly find different other squatters, rednecks and whatnot. So along with your average psychedeliacs you'll also stumble onto a vast variety of high-proof distilled spirits. You might be wondering why the place looks all bikery and stuff, well, dude, it's simple. Back in like 2000-something some motorcycle club gang took over and basically kicked out all the travelers and squatters. Since then the bikers left and now the originals are all back and well. TRUTH'S DOME OF PSYCHEDELIC WONDERS When it comes to drugs, man, all of us hippies search for the perfect trip. One of these perfect trips can easily be found at this place, man. The Dome, like the name suggests, is owned by a super mysterious but far out dude called "The Truth", and has been the go-to place for all consumers from around the word, man. We can't tell you much about the guy who owns the place, because, dude, we really have no idea about it. Only some are lucky enough to know what The Truth is, like me, but shh.. no telling, man. Unfortunately though, this place is mostly just a myth by now, and I can't really pin-point you the location. But who, knows, maybe The Dome will make a return one day. GRAPESEED Grapeseed is an agricultural settlement dedicated to providing San Andreas with its food. Most of the area consists of large fields of crops and livestock along with barns, sheds, and silos containing the necessary equipment to maintain the crops. The rural town stays true to its slogan and is mostly meant for agriculture or labor To normal people, Grapeseed seems like a boring land full of farms, which is like true, in a way. However, dude, what most normal people don't know is that Grapeseed is the land and home of many potheads, growers, amphetamine makers and various other groovy freaks. A majority of people in here make it, sell it, consume it, man. There's no way out of it. CAPE CATFISH Small fishing pier going east of Grapeseed and southeast of the El Gordo Lighthouse. Cool little place for fellow travelers to hang around in. It's a common place for Toxic Waltzers to show up, almost as if they're living there. Despite their name, they mean no harm. WHAT YOU SHOULDN'T DO Now that I laid down everything you should keep in mind about keeping to your hippie lifestyle, it's time for you to know some of the stuff that you should DEFINITELY NOT do as a hippie, man. 1. Don't just stand around smoking weed or taking psychedelics all day, man. Live your life, you got so much stuff you can express yourself through. Make art, play guitar, practice yoga, you can do ANYTHING, man. 2. Not all hippies are crazed-out conspiracy theorists, dude. As a matter of fact, no hippie is a crazed-out conspiracy theorist, they're truth-seekers. 3. The word "HATE" should never be in your vocabulary, man. You don't ever "hate" something, you just don't like it, and that's all. 4. You DON'T have to be dressed so stereo-typically, man. You can wear whatever makes you comfortable, man. After all, that's what it's all about. 5. Hippies aren't dumb, dude. We've even had our own philosophers and writers. We have our smarties, and our dumbies, you know? Right on, man, if you've done everything right, you can finally get along with the subculture, dude. And now, remember: Tune In, Turn On, Drop Out, Screw the system.
