  6. High-quality character images [Menyoo] A guide by @honey. / @jessica SUPPORT DISCORD: https://discord.gg/Menyoo 2800+ members! Hiya! Welcome to my first guide based on how to get high-quality character images! This can be a long process at the start however once you get a hang of it, it should be perfectly easy and quick to do! If you don't know what "images" I'm talking about.. here are some examples! . Step 1: Getting the right programs! (They're hyperlinked! Click on 'em!) The first step to all this, of course, is getting the programs you need! These are all very simple to get and you need to create a folder in your downloads and download all the following additions! (They are all safe, personally tested!) Menyoo - This is the main thing we will be using to make them look extra spicy, it's a single-player trainer mod. If you don't know what that is, it basically makes you admin of single-player and gives you access to everything on the game that you could possibly want. (Animations!) Scripthook - Menyoo can't work alone, they need Scripthook's help! OpenIV - This is what we are going to use later on to add stuff that we want which isn't in-game, you need this to make sure everything you're doing is safe and away from your main game! (I'll explain how!) Once you have all of those in a download folder, proceed to the next step! Close GTA if you have it open... you don't want that open at this point. Step 2: Preparing your Scripthook and Menyoo Now that you have the programs, it's time to get them set up. Locate your GTA5 Your GTA5 is, if using Steam, within your Steam folder. If you don't use Steam then I'm sure you'll know how to find it and if you do use Steam and saved it in a funky place, you must know what you're doing. For me, my GTA5 is in the following path. (Follow it) C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V Open the Scripthook Zip When you open the zip you are going to see the following 3 things: Open the "bin" folder Move everything inside of the bin folder to your GTA5 main folder. Open the Menyoo Zip When you open the zip you are going to see the following 4 things: Move only the "menyooStuff" and "Menyoo.asi" in to your GTA5 main folder. (If you are unable to do this, you need to right click the rar folder in your downloads, go to properties and unsure that it has a tick by unblocked! Credit to @Law) Perfect! Now you have what we're going to use to customize your screenshots (Menyoo) and what we need to run it, (Scripthook). Step 3: Preparing OpenIV This one is a bit more tricky and isn't easy on the eyes so make sure you're following each step appropriately. Open "ovisetup.exe" What you're opening right now is what we will use later to ensure our GTA5 is safe for any mods that are put in, this is your safety net. Follow the instructions As OpenIV installs, it will be giving you confirmations and what not, it's all good. If it says "Do you want to make a mods folder?" at any point, say YES! It may not happen until later but keep it in mind until then! Run OpenIV Now you have OpenIV, it is going to look very daunting but don't worry, you won't need to mess with it for long if you don't want to. Step 4: OpenIV Now that we have OpenIV, this is our first step in taking amazing screenshots, we are going to go through the ASI Manager and enhance our experience. Go to the "Tools" tab Go to the "ASI Manager" option Install all of the available options Step 5: Testing! We've added everything we need to to begin testing! Now here is what you need to do: Open GTA5 Go in to "Story Mode" (It will load really slow if you're not tabbed in to the game) Click "F8" twice This should bring up the Menyoo menu top left of your screen! Step 6: Getting your character Making your character in Menyoo is going to be a task and you really need to stick with it. Getting your character's attribute values You need these so the character you take photographs of actually looks like your character in-game. Here is how to get them: Go to your UCP Go to "Characters" Select the character you want to use Just under the name on the left side should be a drop-down "Face Attributes" Take a screenshot or leave the tab open. Getting your base character You now need to make that same base character within your single-player world. Open the Menyoo menu (F8) Go to Player Options → Model Changer → Multiplayer Models Go through the options and select "Freemode Female" or "Freemode Male" Be surprised by how funky your random model looks like. Go to Player Options → Wardrobe → Default Components Now go to Player Options → Wardrobe → Outfits → Save Outfit To File → Name it whatever you want! Applying your face attributes It's finally time to start sculpting your character! Go to Player Options → Wardrobe → Head Features Adjust all appropriate sections to fit your character Or you can reference this guide for an EASY QUICK convertor: The attributes are different You will notice that the attribute names are slightly different however they do change the same thing. On GTA:W there are some options that are not yet accessible so always make sure you are converting a character from GTA:W over to Menyoo because it will not work the other way around, they'll look too different. This stage will take some time to perfect but once again, it's all worth it. Saving the outfit Remember to keep saving your outfit, do not use "Apply outfit" when saying but instead "Overwrite file" on your selected outfit. Remember that if your character is in an animation when you save the outfit, it will bug and not work so make sure you're not in one. Step 7: Getting your pictures! Now that you have your lovely character in game, it's time to start fiddling around with other settings to get the perfect picture! Options Weather Options - Change what kind of atmosphere your picture will have as well as the weather. Time Options - You have free reign over the time of where this picture will take place, if you want it to not move, you can pause the time! Object Spooner - If you want to have a more custom backdrop, use items and you can even make other people too! Animations (Cannot be used with Snapmatic) These are going to play a huge part in what your screenshots will look like, so how do you use them? Player Options → Animations (→ All Animations → Search) Capturing the moment Now it's time to either Snapmatic it or Rockstar Editor! Snapmatic Snapmatic is basically just the camera app on your characters phone. You can access the phone but clicking the UP arrow key and then guiding it to the Snapmatic app. All of the pointers and directions are given to you on that app! It's basically like your character taking a selfie, a very simple and easy feature. A word of advice: Do not left click to take pictures, they come out looking horrible! Instead, hide the grid with G and just taking a regular Steam screenshot or a screenshot with whatever program you use! Rockstar Editor To use Rockstar Editor, once you have yourself set up in the position you want to capture, you need to click "F1". This is Rockstar recording by default so unless you've changed it, it will work. Leave it to record for about 10 seconds and DO NOT tab out! Once you feel that you have sufficient footage, you can click "F1" again and it will stop recording. It's now time to edit it! Step 8: Rockstar Editor (Skip to step 9 if you used Snapmatic) Now we have our recording, we need to fiddle with it and adjust it to capture the exact picture you're after. Open the map and go all the way right in the black tabs and select "Rockstar Editor" Create a New Project Add New Clip - say yes to everything after this. Camera When you have the option to enter the "Cameras" tab, you are more often than not going to select the "Free Camera" option. This, combined without OpenIV plugin allows us to do so much with the camera! You can zoom in and out as well as tilt it! "Remember that you can enable the free camera in Menyoo and toggle it using F3 - it's another way to go when it comes to taking screenshots." (Credit to @hentai!) Depth of Field If you're not sure of what this is, this basically is what you want the camera to focus on in your image. Normally I set this to my own custom one however the default one works really well! Effects These are just your filters and general effects, saturation, contrast, brightness and vignette. It is entirely up to you if you want to use this however normally I add what I want afterwards. From this point in Rockstar Editor, it's all about exploring! There are no limits for what you want to do, within reason, and this is entirely up to you! Make your pictures unique, funky places, whatever you want! Click "H" to hide the overlay and click "F12" to take your screenshots! Step 9: Editing your pictures Everyone is going to have a different way that they want to edit their photos when it comes to how they look. It's also important to keep an eye on clothing clipping as well as just general maintenance for your character. Colour correction Makeup enhancement Skin correction Shape correction Shadow correction Clipping correction Expression adjustments Adding in logos or other third-party items I use Photoshop to edit my images as well as the ones I do for others if you ever have any questions regarding this feel free to reach out to me and I'll either sort it for you or teach you how to do it yourself! Step 9.1: Photoshop This is actually another guide made by @xanx but it is completely worth the read! The guide got removed 😞 Thank you for tuning in! I hope that this at least helped you and if not, let me know what would make it easier to understand or follow! I haven't gone into detail about how to add mods or how to edit the photos but if that is something that you'd like, just let me know. If you have any questions about this, feel free to drop a comment and or tag me and I'll answer it as soon as I can! 7. Short description: Redo the script from scratch. Detailed description: Currently, the mechanic script is basic, unusable and many things are missing to add, what I am suggesting is to redo the script of 0 by adding all those missing things, and make it more comfortable for both client and mechanic. When I say comfortable, it is creating a CEF menu where you have icons or text to move up in the categories, create a purchase menu and cancel in each submenu and be able to choose what you need. This avoids having to be accepting the command and waiting for the mechanic to accept it several times, since in the current menu, if you give it back, the menu disappears. To move through the submenus, we can use the icons above (for example, exterior.icon) I have two ways on how to buy things from the mechanic: 1- Select all the components of the submenu (engine for example) and give it to buy, and then you can move to the next menu and repeat the process. (You can choose any submenu whenever you want, but changes will only be saved if you first press BUY) 2- Select all the components of the submenu (engine for example) and press the next submenu (Exterior), select everything you want to add and this is added to the total, when you press BUY, all components are purchased and installed. Components to add that are missing in GTAW; Interior ornaments Other types of tires. Change flyers Metallic and iriscent paints. Paint the tires Paint the inside of the vehicle and the speedometers Colored fumes in tires Boot interiors, doors, windows, engine interiors such as reinforcing bars, engine types, gas tank types, etc. And more. In PAINT all things related to colors, paints, type of paint, paint tires, colored fumes, neons, paint the interior of the vehicle, speedometers, etc., would be included in vehicle maintenance items such as anti-theft, gps, alarms, locks, engine maintenance, cleaning dirt, etc. The tires can be in "Exterior", there would be an option that says "Tire type: SUV/offroad/SPORT/HIGH END/ETC" And below a selector of IDs that would correspond to each tire of the type that we have chosen in the option above. Commands to add: Items to add: How would your suggestion improve the server? We would have a more complete, more modern and more comfortable script. Additional information: I wanted to do this thing with HTML/CSS/JS but I don't have time.

  8. Short description: Allow players to share their car keys to other people by giving other people access to your vehicle via /vget. Detailed description: Vehicle sharing is basically impossible unless the owner is online to do the temporary /vdup solution. It'd make much more sense and bring more realism if players could share the key of the vehicle to someone else so they can spawn and despawn the vehicle without the owner being online. This would really be useful for players who RP as a couple that wants to share their cars or for friends who need a temporary car from a good buddy. This would also allow criminals who have stolen a car and the key to be able to drive it anytime they want thus bring more RP for them and law enforcement to find stolen vehicles. The menu could work like this: Maybe another nice touch would be to let the owner of the vehicle know when the vehicle has spawned. For example, you try to spawn your car by doing /vget but turns out your wife is already driving with it. It should give you an output like: This vehicle cannot be spawned as it is already spawned by another player. Shouldn't say the name of the player to prevent MG. Commands to add: /vduplicatekey [VIN of the vehicle] [ID/Name] + /vRevokeKey [VIN of the vehicle] [ID/Name] to revoke someone's key when near the person. Items to add: Just the two commands will do. keys for the inventory would be nice, but that should be another suggestion. How would your suggestion improve the server? I would improve realism and bring more opportunities to players that are RPing a close relationship and want to share the cars to their partners or players who own a small business and want their friends to be able to drive their vehicles while the owner is offline. Criminals who have stolen the vehicle along with the key will be able to drive the stolen car to do a robbery or try to chop it without the need to involve admins to have the car spawned back (even after server crashes). Additional information: Only owners of the vehicle itself should be able to duplicate the key. I don't think this suggestion would be very hard to script so I'm hoping this suggestion will be accepted and I can't wait to see it implemented in the server. Excuse any typos. I wanted to write and post it real quick.

  9. Short description: It would be nice to have more options to buy at the cellphone store. Detailed description: I was down at the cellphone store the other day and I couldn't find any Xiaomi available. It would be just amazing to have more options to buy it from there, since the only viable options in my opinion are the Iphones and the Galaxy. Add the Xiaomi Mi 9, or the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, they're not only good smartphones, but they're also cheaper than the Iphone, which is great for new players to buy it. I wasn't able to spend almost 5k on an Iphone when I first started, otherwise I would've run out of money at the beginning. Commands to add: N/A Items to add: Xiaomi Mi 9, Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 How would your suggestion improve the server? Give players more viable options to buy off the cellphone store. Additional information: N/A

  10. Short description: Allow boats to hold fish in their inventory, currently they are listed the same as cars (probably to stop people from filling up cars unrealistically) and it makes the boats a little redundant in terms of their usability. Detailed description: I've seen a few suggestions with positive support for changes to the fishing system, My suggestion is simply to allow boats to hold fish and allow it to run similar to how the trucking system works see >>Feature Showcase : Trucking & Suppliers<<. This is aimed at changing the current state of shore-line fishing with minimal work, Go stand at Sandy Shores at peak and folk fly in with vehicles, people barely talking and /fish before diving back in their vehicle and racing to /sellfish. This would at least make use of the boats for people who were fishing seriously with no heavy implementations needed. A lot of the time players solo-grind the fishing job for their own profit with minimal RP, if players can own boats and fish and take on a "crew" or companies pop up it increases player interaction. Considering right now everyone pulls up with a dufflebag to load up 15,000G of fish, the boats hold 40,000G up to 100,000G which would be a much bigger sale but for a longer period of time and it's not a quick process.. The tug boat is slow so it's not like you're flying through the sea to make sales and on top of the fact that you also need to move it from the boat to the sale point which is on land. You can for sure pull a tug-boat up to piers to fish and probably dinghies also, in my opinion this is a small change that could make a big impact in the way /fishing works and make it a little bit easier for staff that they don't need to do some mad overhaul or add anything complicated. And not to mention it also goes against common sense. That being said there could be a great reason for it not being there.. So.? Commands to add: Allow us to store caught fish inside sea vehicles. Items to add: N/A How would your suggestion improve the server? I believe it would improve the state of the current /fishing job, it would increase traffic on the maps surrounding water and probably add to more than just those fishing but also add to EMS/PD/FD interactions. Additional information.

  11. Hi! A little bit of background information on me: I come from LS:RP where I spent most of my time as a LSFD member roleplaying in the medical field - Emergency Doctor / Cardiologist. A lot of the players wanted to NPC the whole emergency process because, let's be honest, they just wanted to play and couldn't be bothered waiting through dozens of lines of roleplay that were boring. However, there were others who enjoyed the living shit out of it, and went with it, roleplayed the recovery process, etc. What I'm trying to say by this is that opinions were split, just like with any other topic. Later on, LSFD removed the Hospital side and focused on what the faction actually stands for, Fire Department. I can understand that, however, I was a little disapointed with this change. When I started playing here, I was hoping to see a Hospital side from the LSFD faction on this server and again, I was a little disappointed when I saw there wasn't one. I know we're not trying to copy other servers, I fully understand this. SO: Ever since I joined this community (which was 2-3 weeks ago), I had this idea of roleplaying as a doctor, maybe opening a private clinic, or just roleplaying at the hospital. I haven't really went through with it, nor have I brought this up with the staff, to see where they stand on this matter. Which is why I come to you. Bear in mind that I come here just to fish for ideas, maybe motivate people into pushing this further. So obviously, having LSFD take care of the hospital side is wrong, since they're a Fire Department. Once they leave the patient at the emergency bay, their job is done, finished. I think we can all agree on this. At this point, the patient would usually be taken care of by an NPC emergency doctor and sexy nurses etc. So clearly, this side of roleplay is lacking, a lot. My idea was to change the LSFD into a faction that handles the health department in Los Santos. Los Santos Health Care (or whatever). This faction would have both a Commissioner as well as a Dean of Medicine which would both answer to a Department within Los Santos Government. Again, this is much more complicated than it sounds, but with enough time and dedication, it could be done eventually. Another idea would be to make a completely different Department, a Hospital faction. OR, the easiest one, open up a private clinic, and make your own roleplay, running it as a business. This comes from someone who loves medical roleplay. I would like to know how many of you actually think this is something that would be worth looking into more thoroughly and worth implementing at some point in the future. Any other ideas / points to add? This thread is a little messy, I am just laying out my thoughts as I go, so I apologize for that. I'll stop blabbering now. TL;DR LSFD to become part of a bigger faction that also handles Hospitals? / Open private clinics? / Or simply roleplay as a doctor in a hospital? Medical roleplay in general, worth it?

  12. tbh currently everything follows GTA lore but the phones, why not use existing brands in the GTA universe already instead of cluster fucking it with all of the real-life brands? like Celltowa (Nokia) iFruit (iPhone) Badger (Samsung), Facade (Windows). It feels out of place with the way phones are right now, they all also have the same appearance but a different name and price with the same functionality. Here are some simple mockups I had laying around:

  14. This thread will document the life of Gabriela Rosario. Gabriela Rosario was born on July 5th, 1995 in Liberty City at the Cerveza Heights Medical Center in the neighborhood of Dukes. Gabriela's parents were not born into wealth, in fact their scenario was quite the opposite. The family would often struggle to keep a roof over their heads, even in the booming financial climate of Liberty City. Gabriela was no stranger to a life of crime, her neighborhood was notorious for it's frequent Black on Mexican turf wars, violence was a usual occurrence in the young woman's adolescence. The violence reached a tipping point one day, a day Gabby will likely never forget. As her Mother was driving her home from school, a dirt bike pulled alongside them, the men masked and dressed in all black. It happened quickly, quicker than most would think. Gabriela's Mother forced her Daughter's head down, saving Gabby from the oncoming spray of the automatic sub-machine gun, giving her own life away for her Daughter's. Gabriela often blamed herself for the events that occurred that day. Maybe if she had pulled her Mother down with her, maybe they'd both be alive... Gabby's grief turned to sorrow, and her sorrow to anger. She began failing her classes at school, getting into fights with other students, lashing out at anyone who dared to lend a hand. She refused to continue with her schooling after her first suspension, opting to stay home and take care of her Brother instead. Her Father wasn't doing much better, trying to keep a roof over both Gabby and her brother Cesar's heads all while trying to mourn the loss of his wife. The bills were piling up and the debt was increasing. Gabriela's dad knew they couldn't stay in the neighborhood anymore, not after what happened. Gabriela's Dad packed what little the family had and took a job far away, on the opposite coast in fact, in Los Santos. It was a menial job, he'd work as a dock maintenance officer at the port of LS. The hours were long and the pay was awful, but it kept his family fed, and the lights on at night. It was here that Gabby's downward spiral would truly begin. The thread will be updated pretty rapidly. There's a lot of development to catch up on. Feedback's always appreciated. ?

  16. I don't see a productive discussion coming from this, so I'm going to outright lock this thread now. As I told someone who was asking this very same question in game, the advertisement rules are abundantly clear on what is and what isn't allowed. It goes without saying that some of them slip through the net and nothing is done about it at the time - it doesn't mean that it's being endorsed. Odds are, given the amount of additional chat staff members have on their screen, that the advertisement was simply overlooked.

  18. I believe the whole new "admin discretion" thing, rule 0 or however is called, just lets admins punish people however they like and for whatever they like. The fact the admin report process is complicated and takes a while doesn't help either and most admins know that and will use it to their benefit. Instead of having PD deal with the illegal ads theres now 200 rules that no player can remember as a whole, instead of making our gameplay easier it's now more complicated

  27. I agree with Adero. The object itself is not illegal, as far as I'm aware. "Dismantling" a car is something that could be considered as legal, depending on how RP is approached. There are states, including California, where you can become a licensed "dismantler" or run a salvage yard. Yeah obviously you would have to OOC'ly use the "chop" script, but it's not out of the realm of possibility that it could be RP'd legally. Generally it's old cars or cars that have not passed a smog check, etc. so maybe a set of guidelines could be established (certain mileage, length of time owned, etc.) that would make sense for the server. Could also provide an incentive for someone to scrap a car this way through a player owned salvage yard. Maybe this way it gives 30-35% instead of the 20% to OOC'ly use the /vscrap function. This creates more RP and everyone wins ?
