  1. “As for all Aryan Brotherhood defectors, you are on a hit list and you’re going to die one day. You might have divorced the Brand but the Brand hasn’t divorced you.” - Casper Odinson Crowell From within the depths of the Los Santos County Jail system the tentacles of the Aryan Brotherhood could be felt around the neck of the Los Santos criminal underground. While primarily a gang that operates within prisons and county jails, the Aryan Brotherhood was and is fully capable of maintaining and operating a criminal enterprise on the street. The AB moniker and concept of “one is in for life and the only exit is through death” was first adopted in nineteen sixty-seven, yet the original prison gang was founded sometime in the early nineteen sixties. Much like the other racially segregated prison gangs through prison systems across the United States, the Aryan Brotherhood was built around the idea of providing protection for other caucasian prisoners from other prison gangs. Originally a potential member of the Aryan Brotherhood had to part Irish and be able to “stand on their own two feet” in terms of fighting capability, but eventually the group progressed to a point where the family history was no longer needed and the candidate just needed to be caucasian. The Los Santos County Jail system, while newer than its Californian counterpart, has too felt the presence of not only the infamous Mexican Mafia, or La Eme, but the Aryan Brotherhood as well. Little is known to the public about the activities of the AB in San Andreas, but intelligence gathered through confidential informants both in and out of county lockup have provided authorities with an overall picture. Sources within the Los Santos Police Department and the Los Santos County Sheriff’s Department have indicated that two major players from within the San Andreas branch of the Aryan Brotherhood have made their presence known within Los Santos the past year - Merle Leutticke and James Strauss respectfully. These two individuals have been cited by law enforcement as to having setup the AB’s original communication and street operations. Yet in recent months, both individuals have been said to have returned to prison and transferred out of state, which was an attempt by the Los Santos County Sheriff’s Department and San Andreas Department of Corrections to dismantle the influence of the Aryan Brotherhood on the Los Santos criminal underworld. With the future of the Aryan Brotherhood’s street operations still in jeopardy as there is a clear lack of an individual at the top of the pyramid, law enforcement and criminal experts can only speculate who this individual may or may not be. To be given the reins of the AB’s lucrative Los Santos and Blaine County operations, this individual or individuals, must be connected to various AB members with influence in the multitude of correctional systems throughout the United States. Out of Character This organization reserves the right to character kill any and all individuals who seek out and associate with The Aryan Brotherhood. The leadership of this organization supports the rights of roleplayers to properly and realistically carry out prison/street politics and the consequences that come with said politics. 2. The Beach Where The Body Was Found, North Chumash. Body Found On Beach Under Criminal Investigation The body of an adult male was found in the early hours of the day this morning via an anonymous tip. The body was found with two bullet wounds in the head and riddled with countless bullets in the abdomen of the victim. The victim's name has not been released to the public. The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently known, but it is known that the LSPD is treating the situation as suspicious. Police at the scene estimated that the body had been there for several hours before being found. The body was pronounced dead on arrival by paramedics and was removed by the Coroner's Office for further investigation. The anonymous tip had claimed that they were out jogging upon discovering the body, despite the body being located near no residential areas, with the closest human settlement being the United States Military Installation and Paleto Bay, and in the very early hours of the morning. As the police department is currently investigating the case, no statement is available. This story is a breaking news story. Details are scarce but will be provided once further information is available. 3. The view from Pacific Bluffs, where we spoke to a member of a Yakuza family. Yakuza Behind Onohara Death? Anonymous Interview with 'Yakuza' Boss Kalyani Jamil The Ruriko Onohara/Aurora Siliciano case has been one on the forefront of peoples minds for months - a highly publicised story with twists at every turns, a simple murder case that has been expanded to organised crime, the role of international criminal syndicates in Los Santos and the rise and fall of once regarded figures in the city, including Ruriko, who went under the alias of 'DJ Ono' and was a regular feature at popular clubs throughout the city. The story that should have been closed once again met an unexpected fate - we were contacted from a burner phone from a man allegedly behind the killing of Ruriko Onohara. We met with the masked figure down in Vespucci, a man enshrined immediately with mystery, demanding one thing only - complete anonymity, not once did he show his face, however, he did provide undeniable in-person proof to our reporter of his story, The man spoke with a non-local accent and claimed to be a member of a Yakuza family here in Los Santos. We spoke with him up in the Pacific Bluffs, overlooking the city. Why don't you tell me about yourself and how you've got involved in it? I grew up very poor. Son of fisherman. Mother died when I was an infant. Father was a violent man. Drank. He teaches me his trade as a child but this was not the life for me. I leave when fourteen. I live on the streets in Tokyo. Predominate Kabukicho area. I like the lights and the glamour, and the connections able to make. I was very... er... scrappy. Many fights. I fuck with the wrong man one night outside of the bar. Try to rob him. He beats me within an inch of my life. I take it. No fear. He takes an interest in me. I begin running errands, trading info, these things. By sixteen I was sworn. What of Ruriko Onohara, he claimed to be a member of your group, how true is that? Yakuza is not one group. Many organization. I come up in [Censored] Family under [Censored] Clan. There are other clans, other families. You do not include [Censored] or [Censored], by the way. Did you know [Onohara]? What was your relationship like with him? I was boss he talked about in the interview. I do not know where his allegation that we order the killing of his girlfriend came from. I was already back in Japan when this happened. He lies for no reason. I sent him a message when I find out what happened. I tell him to take accusation on the chin. Wear it proud. Do not let people speak down to you. He never listened. Ono was good, at taking orders. Operate independently? He is like a lost puppy. Aurora Siliciano was found here, shortly after her murder. (Source: R&R) And how did you react to his death? Onohara did come to LS and seek me out. His father was involved in another family under larger clan umbrella. A good man. I knew him in passing. Did not know Ono, but I take him in. At this time, we had a small operation here in Los Santos. I had a boss of my own. Ono come in under me. Immediately he is a good worker. Does what is asked, do not protest or ask questions. He began taking DJ gigs and I tell him to commit to this. I act as his 'manager'. Sadly, he constantly found himself in problems. Head gets too big. He thinks he is a celebrity and begins to put his friends outside of family before family. Before me. We speak of this and it is sorted. No more problems. Soon after, our operation here collapse. I am called back to Japan to face false charges. Ono kills girlfriend and flees to Japan after incarceration. Our boss, he falls off the map. Still, no idea where he is. When he arrived in Japan, Ono goes to our enemies. Some people do this to me. [Moving his mask enough to show significant scarring on his face.] This is not acceptable. Becomes [Censored] family matter but we do not know. I act as a Lieutenant in the [Censored] family. To this day still, unofficial as I am here in LS. I come back to LS after a short trial. I am acquitted but the public is angry, so it was best to sweep me under the rug. I come back here to try and establish legal businesses, et cetera. Los Santos is great place to make money. Find guns. Many things. I find Ono three days after I return. He tells me what happens with our enemies and I receive an order to kill him. I choose not to. He was like a little brother to me. I tell him no more fuck up. No more yakuza. Do not mention the past, anything. In doing this, our family back home think he fled. He is off the map. There is no problem. All is well until he spoke to you. DJ Ono In Police Custody on the 18th May (Source: R&R) And then? I read the article. I am infuriated. Feel betrayed. It is paramount you believe me when say I did /not/ have anything to do with the murder of [Aurora Siliciano]. I met [her]. She seemed pleasant. He was never told to kill her. I still do not know why he did or what the true story is. But to pin on me? My family? In the public eye? I had told Ono he must not speak about the past anymore. This enough is make killing him warranted. But to lie. To shift blame to me? Even if people no longer know who I am? This is not acceptable. Tribute Posted by Saints News Managing Director, Kalyani Jamil, following Aurora's Death. You said your family has fallen apart, are you the last one standing? No, no. [Censored] family is strong. Fine, back in Japan. The different organization here in LS. I was exile by old [Censored] boss. He dies. I am now part of the family again. When in LS originally I was sent by the clan to help start new operation here. That is what dissolve. And the Yakuza in Los Santos is gone? [Clan] presence in Los Santos is gone. Save for me, but I do not really act on behalf of clan or family other than an attempt to re-establish old connections and expand into legal businesses. In Japan, times are very hard for yakuza. We used to be part of society. Accepted. We keep our matters among selves. Even help and cooperate with people, government, when is mutually beneficial or needed. Today, due to US sanction, we are ostracized. Cannot even open a bank account in Japan if known yakuza. We look to expand into thriving nightclub industry in LS as a source of money. Majority of what we do, at least in modern-day and age is legal. We are not like Black. Black street gang. Or Hispanic. We have a code. We abide by this. No robbing, no selling drugs. What happened to Onohara was brought upon him by himself. This was not a senseless act of brutality. He was given many, many, too many chances. We do not operate like Italians, blacks, Hispanics, Russians. We are reasonable, but he pushed to a breaking point where he became complete liability. This is because he lied. I killed him for this myself. ust one more thing, yes. Of course, my name or any descriptor of me is not used. But, please, include that I wish it never turn out this way. He was like a brother. I try to guide him, genuinely. To make him a good man. Move away from yakuza life. He was not cut out for it. At his heart? He was a good kid who got in over his head. ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ The anonymous John Doe specifically acquitted Akari, stating that she had nothing to do with either the murder of Ruriko or Aurora, who had been accused by Ruriko Onohara of being complicit and directly involved with the murder of Aurora Siliciano, and stated that the Yakuza family take full responsibility for the killing of Ruriko Onohara, citing their reasons for doing so. While there's no direct proof of these allegations raised by the John Doe, he provided our reporter with proof that he was indeed a member of the Yakuza, who Ruriko himself claimed he had worked with and was beaten by in Japan. With the last twist of the story in view - is this finally a close to the five-month running murder case? 4. I would honestly be okay with an average of 10-15 minutes per car. Obviously this is not ideal for the realism aspect, but as I said before, you have to weigh the realism vs. RP expectations. I believe you can perform quality RP in 10-15 minutes for most jobs if you take the time to write proper and more creative /me's displaying general (but not lazy) mechanic actions. I don't think a majority of people care that you use a 10mm socket wrench to take off this particular part to get to another specific part to take it out, but it can be more creative than "/me takes out the engine and puts in the new engine" haha ? If a shop is trying to establish detailed mechanic role play like that, might I suggest that you take on more internal projects that can promote your shop as a knowledgeable business of restoring/fixing vehicles. Restorative role play can get incredibly detailed and it's highly satisfying to the one portraying such a detailed mechanic/auto shop.

  8. Playboys 13 is a prominent and extremely violent Sureño gang based out of Los Santos, San Andreas. The gang is made up of dozens of cliques, that operate completely separate of each other, throughout the city. Playboys 13 cliques have even been to known to war with each other. The Westside Playboys originated during the 1950's in the Pico-Union area of central Los Santos, the Eastside Playboys began during the early 1970's in South Central, and the Southside Playboys began during the early 1980's. The gang is known to operate in the areas of drug trafficking, fraud, extortion, armed robbery and various other illegal activities. The gang is made up of primarily youth and young adults with one of their reported affiliates being only eleven years old. The gang is known to war with various other gangs including Mara Salvatrucha 13, Florencia 13, 38th Street, and the 18th Street gang. Their rivals have been known to refer to them as "Peanutbutters." One prominent member of the gang was Calvin "Spanky" Hastings, a Chicano rapper from the South Gate Playboys who was murdered on Father's Day (2016). Krazy Lowks Clique The Krazy Lowks clique of the Playboys 13 gang was founded sometime in the mid 1990's and affiliates with the Southside Playboy's sub-set of the gang. The clique is known to operate along Brouge Avenue in Davis. Prominent members of the clique include Roberto "Freak" Ordonez, Daniel "Chunky" Fierro, and Richard "Stoner" Valencia. Ordonez was gunned down by the LSPD on September 29th of 2019 after engaging in a shootout with police. Valencia is currently serving life in Bolingbroke State Penitentiary for the 1st Degree Murder of two Norteño gang members, and Fierro was also gunned down by police after engaging in a shootout with them following the armed robbery of a Vinewood gas station and the murder of a civilian who was in the gas station at the time. This clique of the Playboys 13 gang is known for extreme violence. Their rivals include the Jamestown Mafia street gang and various cliques of the Mara Salvatrucha street gang. This clique of the gang is alleged to have close ties to The Mexican Mafia prison gang with several of their members serving time in state prisons. The Mexican Mafia is believed to have notable influence over this clique often ordering them to commit murders and various other atrocities on behalf of them. The Krazy Lowks clique is believed to have as many as a hundred members with as many as twenty of them currently serving time in prison.

  11. SPONSORED: Wow, the LSPD is so cool! Man look at 'dem cars and shit! What a fantastic place to work in! That's what everyone thinks when they see any LSPD station around the state, Really, it's like so great and top notch and all that stuff, I wish I was working there. In fact, I'm going to quit Paints News and join them as soon as this article is published*! There are so many reasons, great ones too! We should definitely make a spontaneous list of all the great reasons why the LSPD is better than anything else in San Andreas and, dare I say, the whole world. Yes, even better than that thing your girlfriend did last time with the USB cable! First of all, look at that new fleet! Wow! So many cars, that you can drive all day long! And if you're lucky, maybe you will even come across someone and pull them over! The chosen ones will, in fact, be involved in pursuits with daring criminals and possibly exchange shots with them. Have you seen those assault rifles? Damn, bruh, so great! And have we talked about that car fleet? Let me talk to you about the car fleet. It has cars! So many of them! Let's now continue with an interview of the Chief of Police, who's definitely the most objective person to talk to about the LSPD. We contacted him on our own, absolutely not for any other reason. During our discussion, where the questions were written by him, he told us amazing things, such as « A third of the Los Santos population is already part of the police, but this shouldn't prevent you from joining! Less than 100% is still too low, we're waiting for you! And have you seen our fleets? And guns? ». The chief still asked himself a most pertinent question: what of those who'd rather fly? « We've thought of them, of course! » he promptly replied with a daring smile and an aura of soothing charisma emanating from within his very soul. « If you have a helicopter license, which you'd pass on your own and pay yourself, you might be maybe able to eventually fly one of our 1 helicopters for various tasks! ». Taking flight, an amazing prospect indeed, isn't it? So you should completely do it, apply for the LSPD now! * This person who wrote this article has been terminated. 12. Glow Night '19 at HEAT Nightclub Lola Mendoza Good day, readers! I'm here to present to you another adventure through the HEAT Nightclub. However, this particular voyage was on a whole different level. For those that are curious, you can check my previous tour here. Upon my entrance, I was immediately blown away by the resounding music. Before my arrival, I suffered from a minor car accident and as a result, I had constant nose bleeds. But I couldn't allow for such nuisances to stand between me and my assignment. The tunes reassuringly brought comfort back on the menu. My first check-point was the bar. I couldn't tell if I was proud or embarrassed that some of the bar-staff had started to recognize my presence, let alone refer to me by my actual name. Nonetheless, I greeted them and had a couple of drinks with my accomplice before proceeding deeper. Do note that my dancing never came to a stop. Another remarkable instance was the dress code! Everyone was colorfully radiant in their own unique way as they danced in harmony. It truly was a glowing sight to behold. By the time I reached the dance floor, DJ AOI had already decided that the warm-up round was complete and that it was now the time to get groovy. The musical theme of the night was Drum and Bass. The crowd became wild and quickly picked up the pace, everyone was jumping out of sheer excitement. DJ AOI ensured to deliver the right tracks to keep the mood on its peak level. Not to mention how engaging she consistently was with her fans, notably when she complimented their glorious moves on the dancefloor. That's my summary of this eventful night. If you haven't had the chance to pay a visit to the HEAT Nightclub, I hope that this article inspires you to do so. Their theme nights are unique and enjoyable and bring patrons a refreshing take on the nightlife scene. Spread love and party hard, folks! Saints News is also looking to schedule up a possible meeting with DJ AOI, where we'll discuss her career and her views on nightlife in Los Santos. Stay tuned! 14. As a mech I see both points here. I would love to give it more time, have them leave the car BUT I work a rotating schedule at work.. Some days I go in at 8am others I work til 9pm (and this is gmt -8) So its not really fee sable, leaving the car without vpark would cause issues. Also if this wasn't a server wide rule.. most would go where it's fast. You spend all that on a car you want instant gratification.. So long as the rp is there, it is more beneficial to the server in my eyes to keep it as is. Also I hate to charge realistic labor fees..

  17. Like a lot of jobs, mechanic RP is in a strange position. It's technically mandatory to have an elaborate mechanic RP whenever, as a customer or mechanic, a vehicle is upgraded or repaired. However, it's a rather niche kind of interest. Not a majority of RP'ers (far from it) are interested in RP'ing the in-depth details of what being a mechanic entails, or reading lines upon lines of detailed mechanic RP. Unfortunately, for those who want a job that isn't bartending, mechanic is often a good alternative except: not everyone's an adept. And for the customers, well, that RP's mandatory, a little like queuing at the DMV IRL is mandatory and realistic but not very interesting. It also creates an expectation for the OOC player to have the OOC knowledge an actual RL mechanic would have. This means studying on a relatively niche topic, all for an IC job. While most people will find *some* knowledge of mechanics to be interesting, going in-depth will just be boring and overall they'll just do what's sometimes done: skip the RP altogether, or do the bare minimum. And to be fully honest, given how few interesting stories, links, relations, ... are created through this type of RP, I can't quite blame them. That said, we're at the risk of veering in the problematic field of "realism and quality RP, are they truly synonyms?" and I know the whole GTAW staff doesn't share my vision of those aspects. This is pretty much what I was mentioning above. You're one of the people who have that niche interest, which is cool. However, not everyone shares that interest and it can get problematic. It's... A little when you have that friend who's obsessed with THAT anime and every time you're around, he will spend the entire evening monopolizing the conversation to tell you more about that fucking anime you don't give a damn about. It's a bit of a similar situation, except here the rules make it mandatory for you to listen to the dude's anime ramblings. Someone who's as passionate as him about that anime may like it, and it would be cool if they were in touch and talked about it with one another. But for everyone else it's horribly obnoxious, and often would discourage them from coming back (part of why I never upgraded any of my cars).

  18. Short description: The ability to cook crack from materials that can be bought at the hardware store & 24/7. This suggestion also reworks the way that drugs affect your health, addiction, and dependency. I write this suggestion in good hope that drugs will then serve a purpose, opening a variety of roleplay possibilities, expanding the black market, giving more purpose to EMT, and expanding endless new stories through player's lives. Detailed description: The server right now is really sparse when it comes to drugs whether it be the availability or selection. Right now there are no real repercussions for using cocaine, which is one of the only three available drugs in the server (correct me if I'm wrong). This suggestion will give criminals/dealers more ways to interact with their peers & markets, increase the repercussions of using drugs hence developing interesting RP stories, developing a heavy drug addiction and dependency. EMT will now serve a purpose to hospitals, thus opening the possibilities to even having players roleplay "Doctors" or "Health Specialists" whilst opening "Rehab Centers", etc. The suggestion also implements some items which will give police and law enforcement an array of possibilities to make arrests based on probable cause through drug paraphernalia, etc. The best part of this suggestion is that a lot of the functions are already built into the server, some just need a rework. This suggestion was partially created to add new features and to compliment additions to the existing addiction system. I hope this would be looked over as I truly believe this is something that can indeed add the environment we need in the server. ❤️ A lot of the materials needed are already available through the brewery job, so that'd make those items highly recyclable and give them more purpose. * Please note, what I'm about to suggest demonstrate are based on personal experience and extensive research on the effects. Some things I may have changed to accommodate the server economy & game's limitations and for the sake of simplicity. * C R A C K " Crack cocaine, also known simply as crack or rock, is a free base form of cocaine that can be smoked. Crack offers a short but intense high to smokers. The Manual of Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment calls it the most addictive form of cocaine. " INGREDIENTS: (x3) Cocaine [3 Grams] (Bought through a dealer, distributor, supplier, etc.) (x3) Baking Soda (Bought in a 24/7) $50 (x1) Cooler Freezer (Bought in a Hardware Store) $2500 (x2) Water (x1) Iron Pot (x1) Mixing Bucket (x1) Burner (x1) Propane Tank COOKING CRACK: The process would be similar to how you'd brew moonshine by placing the items you need in order to cook & with the possibility of a bad batch. 1) Add [2] Water to the Mixing Bucket 2) Add [1] Cocaine to the Mixing Bucket * Start Process Timer Begins (30 Seconds) / This will form a new ingredient called: [1] Dissolved Cocaine * Collect 3) Add [3] Dissolved Cocaine to the Mixing Bucket 4) Add [3] Baking Soda to the Mixing Bucket * Start Process Timer Begins (30 Seconds) / This will form a new ingredient called: [1] Cocaine Mix * Collect 5) Add [1] Cocaine Mix to the Iron Pot * Start Process Timer Begins (45-120 Seconds) / This will form a new ingredient called: [1] Boiled Mix * Collect 6) Add [1] Boiled Mix to the Cooler Freezer * Start Process Timer Begins (45-180 Seconds) / This will form a new ingredient called: [5] Crack Cocaine * Collect COCAINE TO CRACK RATIO: 3 Grams of Low Grade Cocaine = 8 Grams of Low Grade Crack 3 Grams of High Grade Cocaine = 5 Grams of High Grade Crack CRACK EFFECTS: 1) Blurry/wobbly screen - similar or the same to the one you get when you ingest cocaine. (Lasts 120 Seconds) 2) Your HP will increase by 40%. (Lasts 5 Minutes) 3) Regain Full Health HOW TO USE THE CRACK? 1) Buy a Glass Pipe available to buy in either General Stores or Hardware Stores. 2) Do /useitem [inventory id of crack] once you're in possession of the Glass Pipe AFTER THE GLASS PIPE IS USED Another cool thought I had was once the glass pipe was used, it will then become a "Used Glass Pipe" in the player's inventory. I believe this could be simply done through conditional bools programmatically. This opens up the door for law enforcement to have probable cause to search the player and/or their vehicle to see if they uncover anything more. Not to mention, in possession of a Used Glass Pipe would technically be a criminal offense if it has any crack residue on it. A D D I C T I O N Note: This would exclude Marijuana as data show Marijuana does not have any known addiction properties but rather prone to persons with addictive personalities. If anyone could clarify this and send me links to data, I'd appreciate it. ADDICTION CHANCE: For every time the player does not become addicted and uses again, the chance of becoming addicted increases. 1) First Time Use - Random chance of becoming addicted (eg. Fiening for more) - Dice Roll (1/10 | 10 Being 100%) 2) Second Time Use - Random chance of becoming addicted (eg. Fiening for more) - Dice Roll (1/6 | 6 Being 100%) 3) Third Time Use - Random chance of becoming addicted (eg. Fiening for more) - Dice Roll (1/3 | 3 Being 100%) ADDICTION ACCUMULATION: What happens every time the player smokes? - An addiction meter can be implemented to reflect the level of addiction the player has accumulated through the back end. - The total number of percentage would be from 0-100%. - For every use (even if the player is not addicted), this integer will rise per (random) %. - The higher this number, the more chances of the player becoming addicted. - This can be multiplied by [Addiction Accumulation * Addiction Chance = Addiction Level] ADDICTION EFFECTS BY %: Players will see their conditions worsen dependant of the total of their "Addiction Level". These numbers only reflect an example and I shall leave it to the devs to come up with a proper % system. The effects can be withheld by ingesting more crack cocaine. 1) 0-35% - Players suffer a loss of 20% health p/hour. 2) 36-65% - Players suffer a loss of 35% health p/hour. 3) 65-100% - Players suffer a loss of 50% health p/hour. O V E R D O S E Another feature that was brought up was overdosing. This would improve the quality behind roleplaying drugs and what it can lead to. Again, please note that the systems put in place are not meant to be 100% accurate but more to compliment and abide by the server's capabilities and laws. FEATURE OVERVIEW Just as the Addiction system, the overdosing system would work on a similar system, only that it will be timer-based from first ingestion-per-gram. For every gram you ingest, the overdose chance rises (x) amount of points. For every gram, there will be a cool-down timer until (x) amount of points get taken from your overdose level. The overdose meter will not be visible to the player, as this would be unrealistic. Rather, the player can detect an overdose by a slightly red screen which sets in depending on how close the player is to overdose. The slight red screen can be a visible form of displaying the player's "Vitals", such as heartbeat, etc. The overdose system is a compliment to the quality of the drug. Each drug has its unique Overdose Points (for the sake of time, let's call it ODP). How does one overdose? Too much of that drug within a short time frame will lead to... You guessed it. An overdose. People can often overdose even with one-time use. But since there is no vital implementation on the server (Not even sure if it's possible) and there is no weight/height based system, this is something that would be hard to do systematically. So for the sake of simplicity, this is the way I'm suggesting it. ODP ACCUMULATION: How will the player accumulate Overdose Points? - A point system ranging from 0-10, 10 being a complete overdose. (This can be modified as see fit). - A cooldown timer of 10 minutes per gram before the points reset. (Up to devs to decide the amount of time). - Overdose Points are accumulative, meaning, each gram will add on top of the other. - Each drug has it's own unique ODP per gram, depending on the quality & drug. - The quality of the drug will determine the ODP. The lower the grade, the less ODP the player gets (less purity). COOLDOWN TIMER: How will the cooldown timer work? - 1 Gram Of High Grade Cocaine = 4 Points - Timer Begins For That Gram If the player does not intake any more cocaine, once the timer hits 0, the points for that gram reduces from the overall ODP. If the player intakes more cocaine while the timer is equal to or more than 1 minute from the last intake, then the timer resets to 10 minutes with total points of 8. EFFECTS OF AN OVERDOSE: What will happen on the overdosing player's screen to let them know they're overdosing. - The player screen begins to redden - The player cannot type - An animation would be displayed to show the player on the floor either unconscious or having a seizure - Player addiction level instantly goes to 100% (This will help connect with the treatment system) - If the player is not treated and taken to the hospital within 10 minutes, they will die (PK). TREATMENT: A shot of Methadone is needed to stop the overdose (PK). Once the player has been given the Methadone, they must be transported to get treatment. EMT / DOCTOR COMMANDS: A command to help EMT/Doctors diagnose if the player is having an overdose. /checkvidals - Oversees the player's vitals which would display their overdose points level /givemethadone [id] - Gives Methadone to the overdosing player Example: * John Doe snorted some Low Grade Cocaine. John has never done Cocaine, so his ODP is 0. Once he snorts the Low Grade Cocaine, his ODP would add 2 points. John feels fine, dancing the night away, but it hasn't been 10 minutes yet. * John Doe snorted some High Grade Cocaine. Oh, seems like John got some better stuff... He just added 4 points, equal to 6. John seems to feel fine, still dancing the night away... John decides he still needs to keep going but is feeling tired... * John Doe snorted some High Grade Cocaine. A few minutes pass, but the first ODP points are still accumulated on top of the others. Since the number of points has reached 10, John starts to feel sick. His screen goes red, he can't type, he falls to the ground and starts to seizure. This is just an example of a club night out and too much cocaine. Q U A L I T Y In addition, I've come up with a system that introduces quality to drugs. The quality would impact the effects, duration, and price of the drugs, as well as increase or reduce the risk of overdose dependant on the purity (aka quality). The system can introduce quality to both drugs given to suppliers and drugs which are manufactured. This could be used as a base which can be expanded as the developers see fit. RULE OF THUMB: For simplicity, quality of all drugs could be driven by 2 classes of potency. Low Grade - Cheap but shorter-term effects, higher chance of addiction. Low Grade - Wobble lasts longer, while the incentives are shorter. Low Grade - Since the drug is most likely to be "stepped on / cut" hence less potent, overdose chance is lower. High Grade - Expensive but longer-term effects, default chance of addiction. High Grade - Wobbles are shorter, while incentives are longer. High Grade - The higher the purity, the more chances of overdose. This is common knowledge. Wobbles? Why does it matter? Wobbles make you swerve whilst driving, it can also impair your walk, thus, hinting law enforcement that you're intoxicated. So the general rule would be; The higher the quality the less wobble time & wobble / The crappier vise-versa. ADDICTION CHANCE MULTIPLIER: If the drug has an "Addiction Chance Multiplier" through "Low Grade" this is the system that'll determine the final percentage. To showcase this example, let's say the low-grade drug has an Addiction Multiplier of 30%. You would multiply the base addiction change by that percentage to achieve a final chance of addiction. See below: * John Doe snorted some Low Grade Cocaine. This would activate a multiplier of 4 (or 40%) of the initial base chance. In this case, it is John's first time using Cocaine. A dice would roll (not visible to the player) - let's say the "Addiction Chance" rolls a 6 (or 60%). if (Addiction Chance >= 1) [ 6 in this case ] then add (Addiction Chance + Low Grade Cocaine Multiplier) This would equal the chance to 10 (or 100%) In this case, the player would now achieve Stage 1 Addiction (0-35%). [See Addiction Accumulation] * DRUG EFFECTS BY QUALITY: (Looking for suggestions on how Heroin should work - a benefit and a downside.) 1) Cocaine Low Grade Cocaine - Wobble Effect Lasts 1-4 Minute(s) - Aftereffects (Fuzzy Screen) Lasts 5-10 Minutes - +20HP for 20 Minutes - Addiction Chance Increases By 3 - Overdose Chance +2 High Grade Cocaine - Wobble Effects Lasts 0:30-2 Minute(s) - Aftereffects Last 2-6 Minutes - Gain Full Health - +50HP for 30 Minutes - Default Addiction Chance - Overdose Chance +4 2) Crack Cocaine Low Grade Crack - Wobble Effect Lasts 4-10 Minute(s) - Aftereffects (Fuzzy Screen) Lasts 5-10 Minutes - +40HP for 20 Minutes - Addiction Chance Increases By 5 - Overdose Chance +1 High Grade Crack - Wobble Effects Lasts 0:30-2 Minute(s) - Aftereffects Last 3-5 Minutes - Gain Full Health - +100HP for 60 Minutes - Default Addiction Chance - Overdose Chance +3 3) Marijuana Low Grade Marijuana - Wobble Effect Lasts 2-5 Minute(s) - Aftereffects (Fuzzy Screen) Lasts 5-10 Minutes - +10HP for 30 Minutes High Grade Marijuana - Wobble Effects: None - Aftereffects (Fuzzy Screen) Last 2-6 Minutes - Gain Full Health - +30HP for 60 Minutes Please note that Marijuana is a give or take situation - Either you enjoy the screen effects or you don't - Please feel free to comment on this. T R E A T M E N T & H O S P I T A L S Players can get treatment by going to the hospital and/or getting treated by EMT through the use of Methadone. This also opens the possibility of having hospital interiors where players can RP a "Doctor" treating patients. This also opens up the possibilities of "Rehab Centers". The possibilities are endless. /checkaddiction [ID] - A command letting doctors/EMT use to see a player's addiction percentage. Using /checkaddiction will let doctors/EMT scan the player's addiction percentage in order to properly diagnose the treatment they need and help establish a Methadone plan. In order for this command to work, the player will need to be at a hospital and only Doctors / EMT can check this through IC tests. The player must obviously also be within reasonable range. Obviously, through IC, people are expected to roleplay these scenarios. The amount of Methadone needed would be varied by the "Addiction Accumulation". 1) 0-30% - Players would need 1 Methadone 2) 31-50% - Players would need 2 Methadone 3) 51-75% - Players would need 3 Methadone 4) 76-100% - Players would need 4 Methadone The amount of Methadone given can be roleplayed through "sessions", which can be roleplayed as needed. This, of course, is just one idea which can develop to many others. Commands to add: /checkaddiction [ID] /checkvidals [ID] /checkvidals [ID] If a player tries to use Crack Cocaine without a Glass Pipe: ALERT MESSAGE: "You need a Glass Pipe to use that!" Items to add: Baking Soda (100 Grams) (General Store) [$50] Cooler Freezer (4,500 Grams) (General Store OR Hardware Store) [$2500] Dissolved Cocaine Boiled Mix Glass Pipe (50 Grams) (General Store OR Hardware Store) [$500] Used Glass Pipe (50 Grams) Low Grade Cocaine High Grade Cocaine Low Grade Crack Cocaine High Grade Crack Cocaine Low Grade Marijuana High Grade Marijuana How would your suggestion improve the server? This suggestion will give criminals/dealers more ways to interact with their peers & markets, increase the repercussions of using drugs hence developing interesting RP stories, developing a heavy drug addiction and dependency. EMT will now serve a purpose to hospitals, whilst opening opportunities for players to train in becoming doctors and/or rehab specialists. The use of glass pipes will open the door for more RP possibilities to law enforcement, encouraging probably cause and beyond. Overall, I think this suggestion will establish the start of a unique feature that can easily transition into bigger diverse projects. In summary: - Profession Possibilities - More Criminal Activities - Great Addition For Law Enforcement - Drug RP Would Serve Bigger Purpose - More RP Story Development Through Addiction - Overall Higher Character Development Environment Additional information: Be on the lookout for my Mushrooms/LSD suggestion. ? Thoughts & comments appreciated. ?
