  2. Easy enough. The only way this would alter the existing system is by making radio communication between all parties on the same channel audible as long as a receiver is on. As long as more than one person in a radius is on the same channel, to avoid crosstalk, the message would appear in public once as ** Radio - Name: xxx **. Only users of the radio would know what channel is being used. Edit: I like @vermin's suggestion that upon dropping an active radio, it would continue to relay that channel and anyone who picks it up could determine that channel. If you wanna make it more complicated, there could be /radio hi, lo, mute and squawk options to control volume match it up to regular conversation and /low radiuses. Personally, I'm against any earpiece options except maybe to high-level SWAT or undercovers--not beat cops or gangbangers or mechanics.

  5. "Hales Tales is a blog updated semi-frequently by me, LS resident and ULSA student Haley Connor. I spend much of my time checking out LS's many different bars and clubs and a new one seems to open our change ownership by the day! To help LS's people keep up with the city's nightlife, I've started this blog where I will visit and review the many bars and clubs LS and the state has to offer." Hales Tales 1: HEAT Nightclub article in plain text: Hales Tales 1: HEAT Nightclub I went to HEAT this Saturday expecting nothing special, and wasn’t surprised. In the sea of samey nightclubs LS has to offer, HEAT does nothing to really differentiate itself. However, within the established formula they do a decent enough job. When I arrived and ordered a drink, the bartender did know how to make it with no problems. This is rare in LS as anyone who’s a fan of cocktails will know. Albeit, it was just a simple vodka cranberry. Still, I’ve had many-an-LS-tender serve me a separate glass of vodka and cranberry juice – so that’s a plus in my book. However, the service did take some time. Not sure why, but I was told to wait a moment when I walked in. The two tenders conversed amongst themselves for a wee bit before returning to serve me. Not a major issue, but a bit frustrating when you’re trying to get your night started. Turnout was slow at first for the midnight opening. By 12:30, the club a bit busier, but not significantly so. Business stayed slow throughout the evening and the club closed shortly after 1am. This was a bit peculiar. The standard for clubs in LS seems to be to keep their doors open for at least two hours. Perhaps it was the low turnout that inspired the management to close early. The music was definitely a low point at the venue. Throughout the short opening, I heard the same three or so songs loop multiple times. There was an individual standing in the DJ booth, but judging by what seemed to have been an autoplaying selection, I’m not sure what he was up to. The interior itself, though nothing special, is unique from other clubs in its own right. Upon entering, open flames behind the bar catch your eye, and good placement of red lights add to the atmosphere. Plants and other additions to the dance floor are keep the place looking unique. See the pictures below for a better look. Overall, HEAT is a perfectly acceptable place to enjoy an evening out. It does nothing special or unique, but what it does do it does well. Owner Shang Takashi had this to say about his recent acquisition of the club, “Hey, I just took the place over, not so long [ago]. This is our second opening.” When asked about the club’s current interior, he said, “This interior is the basic requirement when you own a nightclub. It’s nothing fancy. A few unique, as you can see, plants and stuff. There’s definitely more to it, which is under development at the moment.” When asked about these plans for the future, Takashi said, “For future plans, I wouldn’t want to give anything away yet. No false hopes. We’re working on it currently.” That being said, I plan to visit again once Mr. Takashi is able to put his secret plans into motion. As of now, HEAT is a solid and average night club. Takashi seems to see more potential and seeing where he takes the venue in the future will be interesting. Breakdown and score below! Service: 5/10 Environment: 6/10 Staff Friendliness: 7/10 Music: 3/10 Overall: 5/10

  7. (W/S) ROLLIN' 60's NEIGHBORHOOD CRIPS Info Rollin 60's Neighborhood Crips is an African-American crip street gang located on the West Side of South Los Santos. The Rollin' 60' NHC originated as a clique of Stanley "Tookie" Williams gang; 'The Westside Crips' in the 1970s. The territory stretches from the houses in the Strawberry side of Forum Drive over to the Projects in the Chamberlain Hills side before Carson Ave. The R60NHC are also under the Rollin O's and Neighborhood Crips umbrella. History R60NHC/RSC are the first gang to use the term “Rollin” and were involved in the first Crip-on-Crip rivalry when in 1979, the R60NHC and Eight Tray Gangster Crips (ETG) began a feud that has lasted over 3 decades with about 60 deaths among the two gangs with nearly a hundred innocent bystanders, making this rivalry the most deadly two-gang conflict in Los Santos' history, but the rivalry has calmed down during the first decade of the 2000s as crime dropped throughout the city. For many years, their main rival to the east are the ETGs. This would be the most intense rivalry between any two individual Crip gangs in all of Los Santos in the history of street gangs conflict during the 1980s. Although there are longer rivalries among other Los Santos gangs, such as the one between the White Fence and El Hoyo Maravilla, which goes back to about the 1920s, the conflict between R60NHC and ETG has been more violent, especially during the period between 1980 and 1995. The rivalry between RSC and ETG rivalry started Crip infighting which created a divide between Neighborhood Crips and Gangster Crips also known as Trays. Other rivals to the Rollin 60s include; Black P Stone Nation to their South East, W/S Forum Drive Hustler Crip to their South West and Rollin 50s Neighborhood Bloods whom are neighbouring RSC on Forum Drive. Present Day In the year of 2019, gang crime still blazes on in South Central and many young men have died as a result of it. A turf feud for Forum Drive had sparked a gang war between Barrio Azteca and RSC which resulted in RSC keeping their territory in Forum Drive however had also resulted in the death of a RSC member known as 'JD'. Shortly after the death of 'JD', a long war between Black P Stone Nation(Circle Stones) was sparked resulting in the death of 3 young black males from the Circle Stones; Shaquon Banks, Trey Carter and 'TJ' and 1 black male from RSC known as 'MACE'. To this day RSC still hold down their territory in Strawberry despite provocations from their rivals. OOC ((If you are hoping to get affiliated in game, your character should be a POOR African-American teenager preferably under the age of 16 that has been raised in the Chamberlain Hills Projects. If your story involves your character recently moving into LS then your chances of getting accepted by others is extremely low. Upon association, you will grant us CK rights on your character which means your character can be killed at anytime if the reason is valid. We try to keep an accurate portrayal of the real life counterpart however it is extremely difficult as this is just roleplay, if you have any advice then please send a PM to @aldo. Residents are also highly encouraged as we there is barbershop in the middle of the neighbourhood which was made to encourage residential RP.)) If you are interested in getting involved, please send me a forum PM.

  8. Short description: Make weather last longer, at least 30 minutes for each one. Detailed description: Tired of having a thunderous rainstorm to happen, roleplaying putting your jacket on only for it to clear up before you've managed to zip up your coat? I think everyone is. Let's have rain last a fair bit longer, around half a hour at the very least to maybe an hour or even two. Reason being is people like roleplaying the weather and it may be be done more if it didn't last less time than a microsecond and driving in these conditions would be more than a tiny short risk. 9. The South Grove Locos (SGL13 or GL13) also known as the South Davis Locos 13 or South Grove Treca are an infamous Mexican-American Sureño street gang, with cliques throughout the Los Santos County, San Andreas. They originated after World War II, during the late 1940s, in the "Grove Street" district of Davis, Los Santos. "Loco" means crazy in spanish. (1940-1992): After the race-conflicts in the East and South Los Santos past it was hard to find jobs for Hispanic and Afro-American people, most Mexicans were beaten up and robbed and lost even their last breadcrumb by Afro-American street gangs, the youth wasnt going to school no more as it was a useless timewaste to them since they wouldnt find a job anyway. They started to build groups so they could go all together through the streets, being stronger than before, thats how the first cliques were formed. Thats how things started off. The older Cholos/Chicanos of the Barrio showed them things, hung out with them, used them to beat up enemie-cliques and brought them into the "chicano life". The rivalry with the local Afro-American gangs lead to a bloody mess after a local gangmember named Raymond „Baby Lane“ Anderson shot Filipe „Jorge“ Gonzales little sister and raped her, then threw her dead boy out of his car, presenting her to the hispanic locals of Davis. On her wrist, a red bandana was bound. Things were changing drastically, within less than 2 hours cars got burned down around Chamberlain, Chicanos equipped with bats, crowbars and everything they could find were beating up the whole enemies neighbourhood. It was the first time "Tags" appeared, honoring the death of Filipe Gonzales sister. Things changed. From a clique of unemployed people and teenagers a new type of streetgang was formed. They called themselves "South Davis Locos" and were hungry to find revenge for Filipe Gonzales sisters death. No Afro-American next to Davis was safe no more against the barking-mad Filipe Gonzales and the South Davis Locos. The LSPD tried everything they got in hand to extinguish the fire of hate of the South Davis Locos. They managed to lock up almost half of the gang after time. After the past weeks things werent as before, as the South Davis Locos were now a feared street gang, being included in local newspapers and all after a big investigation started after Filipe and his two older cousins were slaughtering Raymond Anderson with 27 deadly stabs at August, 27th, 1972 infront of the Davis LTD. They managed to escape through the alleyways, leaving the bloody knifes there. After the investigations got further, they managed to find track of Filipe and locked him up, lifetime sentence. In Jail, Filipe Gonzales found his way in Jail. He became the head of his own crew with arms leading to the Mexican Mafia "La Eme". He managed to slowly build up a network outside, having his visitors being his pigeons telling the remaining South Grove Locos what to do in the name of "La Eme". A lot of bloody things happened, a lot of the members have been locked up, a lot of newcomers came in. Like the motto: Surenos don’t die – they multiply. The South Grove Locos 13 adapted the number 13, during the 1980s, which corresponds to the alphabet letter "M" signifying their affiliation with the Mexican-Mafia (or La EME). In 1992 the FIB started a big RICO act against the now called South Grove Locos 13, being part of the set, wearing its colors, having related tattoos, even the flashing of gangsigns was forbidden and lead to direct-imprisonment. The South Grove Locos 13 were dieng. It was a matter of time until they were completly ruined by the FIB. Almost everybody was either directly shot dead or jailed. The remaining left the area and either went back to Mexico or were hiding however they could. After some time, the South Grove Locos 13 were only a street-myth. Present: The time of riding lowriders and wearing Converse Chucks is over now, But not for Miguel "Chako" Chavez and Rodrigo "Silent" Castro, they grew up in South Davis and have countless family members, dead and alive who all live by the same lifestyle -Chicanos- who are still living after the culture and traditions and are putting in lots of work, reviving the South Grove Locos 13, avoiding mistakes done in its past. Crimes changed. People got beat up or shot for wearing wrong colors or being in the wrong neighboorhood back in the day. Nowadays they are taking taxes or bountys. Too many Hispanics nowadays dress up like black people, wearing Nike Jordans and all that, giving a shit about their real heritage, about traditions and culture like back in the days. Theres no cohesion anymore between hispanics, no more "La Raza". But things arent like that for the South Grove Locos. They are going back to old standards. Miguel „Chako“ Chavez and Rodrigo „Silent“ Castro are two charisamtic young men, who are trying to make it worthy, living in grove street, trying to get back the cohesion of the old days, the money and the respect. Due to the imprisonment of "Chako" leading to work for "La Eme" in Bolingbroke made him a name there, making him able to get instructions from La Eme. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ OOC: We're currently aiming to realistically portray Hispanic Sureño characters ((South Park Locos 13 in reality)) that are trying to focus on the money-flow throughout the area they reside and making connections and enemies as they progress. Everything is to be strictly done IC and /b will be kept to a minimum, if possible none at all unless its a OOC situation. Feel free to send a private message to Enrique or Cudi on getting involved with our Faction, Discord and other parts of the Faction-Development. IC events will change the faction as it progresses onward and remember at the end of the day this is a game and this faction is just trying to encourage roleplay. Character development is a must here. therefore our main concept of the faction is all about the low-income area that we're from. Therefore you must acknowledge the fact that driving around with a Schafter or any other sportvehicles, is forbidden unless there is a clear reason for it. You must roleplay your character and it's background to the fullest extent to the point where you're grubbing together as much money as possible through the hard struggle of being a teenage gang banger. When approaching the faction and wanting to join, It is recommend you start out as a 12-17 year old teenager and then make your way up, as it is more realistic for you and for the whole factions atmosphere that you begin your development as a youngster, from around the Area we're roleplaying in.

  17. If we are talking about the value of life, I suspect people don't care because they don't have something else to look forward to in there RolePlay.. Ill give a bit of an example: From what I have seen, people that go around and attempt to rob people, really, that's all they do in the server.. so what makes the difference if they die or not? If they do anything else, it is usually heavily crime related, and nothing to do with actually a simple life RP. One of my characters has two sides to them. One side is a very evil, dark person, but on the other side, is a very nice polite person, works in a small company and would never be suspected of a thing. Some of the decisions that are made for that character, are depended on his family and what he thinks could happen in the future. He has a very big fear of doing public crimes, he likes to do everything very quiet and planned, professional, he doesn't want his family to be hurt. He will even stop in the mid of action because he realized what he is doing wrong, what could go wrong. If someone has nothing to look forward to, there RolePlay and value of life really doesn't change, besides for the mentality of "oh, I'm just going to die and respawn, we be all good" also the "Oh, it's just a PK, we just forget about this" - However, I am not saying there are people on the server that do a lot of crimes, robbing, shootings and hits, that do not know how to RolePlay. I just think the general 'civilization' that we see will always have two different RP'ers. Some that are new and not really caring for the 'heavy RP' and the other group who has been doing this for years, and know every aspect of RP, and basically the wrong from right. People need something to value besides themselves, to want to keep them alive. If the only thing we had was ourselves at all times, we would be in a very deep and dark place.. Imagine if you didn't have family, friends, someone to talk to in real life.. However, that is how a lot of people RP on the server. They hold these things back because it doesn't matter to them. PTSD is a real killer, and yet, half of the people on the server that kill, probably not once have valued what happens when you sleep at night, close your eyes, or get into a deep thought after you have killed someone. When it comes to the 'quick draw' as stated above.. that's all I ever see or have been encountered with sadly. There is never a time, unless I have presented the RP, to where fear of a gun actually comes in place. At all times, from what I have encountered or have seen, it is usually someone just running up on you, placing a gun to your head, and as someone stated, being able to do nine things at once.
