(Variable) Portrait Birthing; Born on Sunday the 6th of December at 3:13AM, weighing 3.5Kg, Cecily Marianne Edelinne was born. The weather reflected that of her life. A stormy blizzard. The temperature outside the hospital reflected that of the arctic within the summer, -7 degree Celsius. Born to Fredrick Edelinne and Lissandra Berkins, Cecily was a bastard at birth. The birth was fairly uneventful, a simple birth, born on time and with no complications. Her family instantly adored her, what would become the first of two children, Cecily's life was off to a great start. Two days after being born, Cecily was released from hospital and her family allowed to go back to their two bed-roomed suburban house. Cecily was a quiet baby, not learning to talk until she was four, and only beginning to walk at aged 2 and five months. Off to a steady start; Cecily joined her nursery aged 4, sporting two ponytail and a pink butterfly dress. When her name was called on the daily register her class laughed at her and called her by her lifelong nickname "Celery", she was embarrassed from day one. Cecily however grew rather fond of her originally unwelcome nickname, and moved to take it in her stride as she continued spending her days here. Instead of following social protocol Cecily found herself playing more with the toy cars, not Barbie dolls. The whole concept of dolls she did not understand, 'Why would someone play with a toy person when they can instead play with them in person'. Becoming one with the riff raff; Cecily was unfortunate enough to land herself in the German public education system, although not bad she didn't quite fit in. Her family was not rich or poor, she wasn't either good or bad at sports, nor was she exceptionally pretty. She was awkwardly put in the middle zone of the popularity ladder. Neither bullied nor respected. Her friendship group was closely knit and nothing more and nothing less. They all knew each other from an early age and the bonds formed held them together, despite Cecily becoming less and less socially adept. See Cecily had always struggled with what to say, the words in her mind would form what she wanted to say, but her mouth just couldn't finish off the task. Cecily took special interest in the Sciences whilst she was in education but never particularly interested in Media as a subject; what she would later find success in. Her chosen subjects were to study Chemistry, History, Physics and Media, alongside the standard subjects of German, English, Maths, Business studies and art. She finished with basic level 2 qualifications of 1.5 (sehr gut grade). In an attempt to gain popularity for her step into Tertiary education she attempted to host an after prom party for her year group, this was a failure of proportions she had never seen in her life, it descended into drug fuelled chaos. Her life was beginning to show its true colours... When your mom doesn't love you, drugs will; That night during July 15th at her party, Cecily's life took a turn for the worse. Peer pressure is a nasty thing, it causes the human nature aspect of fitting in with the 'pack'. What Cecily thought were people she could trust, turned out to be some of the single worst influences within her life. Not helped by a teenage desire to rebel Cecily took part in the consumption of Cocaine at the beginning of the night, ending it by hitting a bong to mellow her out. The rush of endorphins in her brain, something lost in her childhood due to her distance with her parents, caused her to instantly fall in love with the feeling. Cecily's life devolved into a life where she was desperately passing the time until she could get her next fix. In a cruel turn of irony this was the most popular she would ever be. Whenever she'd leave the house, she'd take a line of Cocaine, finishing the night with a half a ten bag of Marijuana. This began to slowly destroy her until she was unable to eat anymore, instead spending her money on accessing the feeling of love. On Christmas Day, at aged 20 her life almost came to a halt. Whilst surrounded by her family, high as a kite, she collapsed into a seizure whilst delivering the turkey to the table. Having not eaten for five days, her blood sugar level crashed to an all time low. She was rushed to the hospital where doctors told her that continuing this habit would have led to the end of her life. Her liver was damaged to the point of being placed on the transplant list. She was forced into six months residing in a hospital bed, with no family by her side, being made to undergo rehabilitation. Following two weeks after a liver was transplanted into her, she was discharged from hospital. Forced to live on the streets she began to write news stories around her town, using pens she'd stolen from local stationary shops and scrap bits of paper found in dustbins. The only thought in her mind, this is what life is when you're born into a wealthy family.

Update #1.1.0.6 In order to promote garages roleplay, mechanics need to be recruited by the garage (in the faction of the garage's). The last statistics were showing that almost no roleplay was done at garages, and players were just using the mechanic job to mod their own vehicles. After discussing with garage owners we came to this change that should help promote more roleplay. It also means that each garage must now be attached to a company/faction. Added /bwithdraw and /bdeposit for businesses cashbox management The customization menu is now also moved with /movemenu, and its position saved! Fixed a bug where sometimes the character creation would not allow you to modify any of the face features The information text about the properties will now appear when you walk near their doorsteps The chat range was reduced to the /low range inside interiors, /shout remains the same Fixed various bugs with rentals, taxis and garbage trucks that were sometimes preventing players from entering/managing them Fixed /fuel sometimes not working Fixed some client crashes on vehicle synchronization Fixed a bug that was sometimes allowing players to keep their weapons on death Fixed 12 server crashes

Almost everyone played LSRP once in their life hahaha. However, welcome and I hope you'll buy GTA V soon so you can play with us. Talking about Los Santos Roleplay: as Nathan already said: the only thing you can do on SAMP is pretty much shoot or drive and it is true. On RageMP (GTA W) you can do a lot more and that's why RolePlay is revealed for what it really is and not a simple cops and robbers with some added feature.

I love LSRP but the only thing that made it imperfect was you had to follow a stereotypical storyline. I'm a Winona Ave Bloods OG at the minute but there's no room for proper passive RP unless you're street racing or something. I like the idea that with GTAW you can literally do your own thing, go to car meets or clubs and won't even need to fire a gun in most cases. People on samp nowadays just love gang warfare because the only thing you can do on samp is pretty much shoot or drive. I'm looking forward to GTAW prospering and taking pieces from every successful samp server.

This is going to be controversial and it's really a matter of opinion. The mining bonus encourages more people to mine, it's as simple as that. We don't need to incentivise more people to mine people will do it anyway as it's the best paying job by far. By removing the job bonus we will get a better distribution around the other scripted jobs at all times and we will no longer encourage something that really shouldn't be. When the mining bonus takes effect it really detracts from roleplay as many people flock to the hills, the other jobs simply don't have as much pulling power. Remove mining from the job bonus rotation!

Short description: Basically, currently if you call 911 on your phone, you get asked "What is your emergency?" and "What is your situation?" Which in essence, is both the same thing. This makes it a pain for PD & FD to respond to calls as the person writes out the situation 2 times. We are forced to call the 911 caller and ask for a location, which in my opinion should not be necessary. Changes to be made: 1st Line upon calling 911 should be kept the same 2nd Line should be changed to: "What is your location?" instead of "What is your situation?" Changes to the speedo Short description: Currently the data relating to the vehicle you are driving is on the left of the monitor, near the minimap and they are a bit cumbersome and not very aesthetic. My suggestion is to replace this one with a prototype that I personally designed via Keynote. This suggestion is more dictated on aesthetics than on functionality, but would also lead to a cleaner and tidy screen. Additionnal information: As already mentioned, the version I designed is done via Keynote.

Clear as day that moderation on Discord's been so lax that people think it's okay to be bigoted. Sometimes there are never any admins around to moderate the racism, homophobia, etc. Sure, there's testers around but they can't moderate the chat as far as I'm aware. Getting tired of posting complaints, so can someone/Nervous add appropriate Dyno bot filters, or you know, get people to moderate the chat more. Having jokes and shit is fine, but being extremely edgy without a reason is just uncalled for. We're playing an 18+ game, so people should really be expected to not act like 8 year old keyboard warriors on Roblox. Raise awareness, Aquila for president.

Even though I see your point, adding more moderation to the discord server of a small Gta V RP community isn't gonna completely destroy hate speech. Most of the people who say the n-word, or whatever other word, only do it to crank a spicy inside joke with a friend of theirs. Nobody is getting hurt over some dude doing an inside joke with someone. And I bet that if there's a black dude in the chat and someone says the n-word, they aren't even gonna be offended by it. The only one who's getting offended by it is you, Aquilla. This is coming from someone who got banned for calling a friend of his "dumb fuck". But, hey, it's my opinion.

We're discussing how to bring changes to the economy internally at the moment, they've been put on hold for now to as devs need to focus on the conversion bugs. Changes will come in due time, we want to figure out a good way to make money through RP a very viable option, Concerns about players treating the server as an asset gaining game instead of RPing and just sitting around with sports cars are perfectly valid complaints and are being heard. After joining Player Management I've received many messages about this, our focus is currently on South LS as we've had a lot of new players join that have tanked the standards and disrupting RP in the area, i.e.: Once the majority of the situation in South LS is sorted, which takes up a good chunk of the currently reported players, we'll be much more freed up as a team. I'll take these complaints I've been receiving and put them up into a megathread in PLM and we'll try to teach and guide many of these players as a team before the changes come. We're perfectly aware we won't be able to fix the problem entirely before future economy plans are finalised and changes come, however we will focus on extreme cases and try to tone it down a lot, encouraging better and more realistic character portrayal from these players. For now, I highly encourage people to use the RP Quality complaint system, it's there for a reason - report players for poor character portrayal/concepts, not necessarily rulebreaking. You don't even need elaborate reports, even small tipoffs with a quick 1-2 screenshots and an explanation of their character concept will do. If it is something so small you don't consider report worthy and don't want to submit one, I at least encourage you to send me a Discord PM (Charlie#4573) with a quick screenshot of what you saw, and I can forward it on. I think what OP was getting at is the fact it's a roleplay server - not an MMORPG. People should be earning their money through realistic means in-character, not pressing /cf or AFK'ing on the top of Mount Josiah. I'd also like to reiterate as OP did that there's all too many people doing skids in their Elegy Retro earned through spamming CTRL-V in a high-pop area. This would mean people would have to throw out a dozen reports every single day. Also, people do tend to get enormous wages. The ludicrous amounts I've heard of semi-successful business owners/workers get for around 1-2 hours of RP is pretty wild - and it blows all script jobs out of the water, tbh. There's a few good examples of people who someone could just come on this thread and name, who showcase the "script job" issue extremely well - but obviously no one will, as it's extremely immature. Also because of the fact the staff this server has, are probably already on the case.

My forum complaints would be a start. One search of "nigga" and other variants brings up quite a lot of perfect examples. Another search of "faggot" also proves my point too. Yes. Not necessarily. Stuff like this doesn't have a direct impact to me, but why should edgy behaviour be tolerated? The second part of your post is very important, because one look at Discord as a new player is definitely going to either turn people away, or allow people to think that making fun of minorities is a good thing. It's not a good look. If you don't see a problem here then the chances are you're part of the problem. With how many admins we have, anyone would assume that the chat is well-moderated but only a handful of admins are ever found on the chat. With all due respect to you as a player, racist and homophobic slurs are never comedic. People should grow up, but obviously some people cannot be reformed over the internet. Because of this dilemma, moderation is often put into place in communities to alleviate these sorts of issues. Nobody is going to be serious on a Discord that's not at all serious. People have previously been banned and muted on Discord for behaving like tools, or even making small jokes that don't offend anyone. Now, people are openly dropping slurs without a single worry. Why? It is most definitely an issue. I suppose it is easier to notice there's an issue from the perspective of a minority, whether it's ethnic, racial, religious, gender, or sexual preference/identity. People will always troll, so should the admin team be submissive and allow it to happen? The answer is obviously no. I would assume that staff members would be in support of a cleaner Discord server rather than accept the problems infesting it. I would bring up examples of your posts prior to becoming staff, but I'll refrain. I'm not attacking you by any means, but I am trying to make you understand that saying certain things in the Discord is not okay. When you say things like that, I know what your intentions are. It shows that you may be part of the problem, and trying to extinguish this problem is somehow a threat to you. If you don't have anything useful to add to the thread then don't post, because anyone else would assume you're trying to troll and derail the thread. I can confirm that GTA communities have always, and will always be, toxic places that continue to breed toxicity. Why can't GTAW be different and break this norm? It's not about whether someone takes offence, it's just that this kind of stuff shouldn't be tolerated. Discord servers have been taken down before for being hotspots for hate, bigotry and intolerance. There are so many violations of common courtesy happening on Discord, yet only a handful of staff seem to be enforcing it. At this point, we'd need several bots to auto-moderate (since Dyno dies frequently) and admins to regularly and manually moderate the chat.

Personally it doesn't bother me. Someone could slander me, troll and talk shit all day long. Racism, offensive words etc doesn't sway me but I understand that it can for others. As long as the rules are set out clearly for everyone you can moderate to your hearts content.

The reason why I stopped following the Discord entirely is mostly because, well... It's a spamfest of stuff that looks edgy to those who post, and it keeps escalating until it becomes really pretty bad... Like "lol u fun fam" "LOL NO U" "LOL HITLER XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD". Well, except that very dialog took the involved people 65 lines (all posted within 45 seconds). To quote something I saw on another Discord: This is barely a caricature and this is pretty much what I see all day long on the GTAW Discord. I'm not against people finding it fun and enjoying it, but it will definitely push away other people. Like I said... It's not my thing, but that's not the real issue :p The issue is that it sometimes goes further than just "gently" mocking nationalities and there have been recurring moments where it went into some pretty bad racism ("BUT ITS JUST EDGY JOKE LULZ FAM XDDDDDDDDDDDDD" but yeah... No). It already did some damage. I tried to recruit quite a few experienced players, who came from more mature communities than the GTA one, but they were completely thrown off and went full "fuck this shit I'm out" when seeing the Discord.

Based off of the suspension, the higher number it is the higher rank it is, like GTA:O. Could be wrong though. What's funny to me though is that the price to change it is the same so I'm not sure why multiple options are available when you would always take the highest one since it's the same price.

No, this comes up every month with different ideas and prices. The prices will never match everyone's, they're good like this for now and won't change for a while. Everytime we change them some people are not happy and want to redo them. Are they perfect? No, but they will never be.

Another server I know of (on RageMP) does that. The strings are mostly text, it takes pretty much no space at all. So, if it's possible, it could be really cool. Finally people would stop calling my char "Salomé" even though she never gives that first name to anyone xD

Yes. Scripted jobs should be useful not just for people to earn money, but also for the server. Mining for construction materials, trucking/courier to refill businesses/fuel stations etc. Bonuses just motivate people to grind, which is the last thing RP server needs.

Paleto Bay needs a bit of everything LS has; several vehicle dealerships (There are ideal buildings in Paleto Bay), a rent vehicle, mask shop, a 24/7 actually in the town, marked icons for the clothes store and tattoo parlour and scripted jobs. Not to mention something Los Santos doesn't have, which would force people to go to Paleto Bay; perhaps something unique to the rural culture of the town. If these were all placed on Main Street (or w/e it's called down the middle) like Mirror Park has, a few more folk would hang out there. Especially those of us who live in Paleto Bay but find ourselves having to drive all the way to Los Santos every-time we want to do something. I'm still all for the ideal personally! I'm hoping more is implemented in the future. :)
