  1. Chaotic Carshow By Mara Sutherland On Saturday evening a carshow hosted by Crown Royale Corporation was initially advertised and held at the Mirror Park Dealership but was sadly marred by troublemakers. The carshow was then relocated to The Four Queens Casino and Weazel News was asked to judge and declare a winner, who would receive $10,000 prize money. As we were viewing contestants vehicles the show was interrupted by guests from the previous location bringing a police pursuit through the parking lot several times, at one point police even opened fire on them. It's not known why police decided to do this in a car park full of people and expensive vehicles but it does raise questions. Despite the delays to proceedings this didn't seem to deter the contestants who just wanted to enjoy themselves, so the show went on. It was eventually narrowed down to two vehicles as possible winners, a lime green custom Karin and a custom white Khamelion. Both vehicles merited points for style, aesthetic quality and level of customisation making it a very difficult decision. First place went to the stunning white Khamelion with it's sleek lines and luxurious overall quality. First place winner Kimiko for her custom Khamelion. (Our preferred picture was corrupt, apologies) Second place winner of $5,000 Teshima, for his luscious green custom Karin. Despite the chaos the car show was hailed a success by the host who praised participants for sticking around, they certainly seemed to enjoy themselves along with the onlookers who came to admire the cars on show. Hopefully the next won't be as chaotic!

  2. dunno if it's being added to the new system in 1.0 but if it isn't, I suggest being able to modify cars beyond simple cosmetic upgrades. I'm talking about making a vehicle go from stock to custom, i.e. Moonbeam -> Moonbeam Custom; FCR-1000 -> FCR-1000 Custom. ideally, all the non-custom cars get removed from the dealership, and people gotta buy the cars stock then upgrade them via mechanic at some car garage place. this encourages rp. idk exactly how it'll work but i'd imagine that Player 1 will give Vehicle A to Player 2 (mechanic), and Player 2 will modify the vehicle within a quoted number of days, charges the difference in price based on current dealership prices, then gives Vehicle A back to Player 1 as a Custom version of the original. it'll pretty much be a new vehicle I guess. this kinda gives vehicles a story behind them instead of simply saying "ya i bought it like this lol". also like i said, it encourages rp. mechanic does the rp, owner can come by and see how things go. plus, the mechanic makes money. it's probably too late to actually implement this in time for 1.0, but like i said idk if this is already planned. if it isn't, then i guess it's a future prospect that can later be added.

  3. Introduction - GTAW 1.0 Five months since our opening, and it feels like It's only been weeks for the development team! We have all been working very hard to push multiple updates a week all these months, and the recent playerbase increase before our advertisement campaigns confirms that we're going in the right direction. We do hope that the release of the 1.0 will keep attracting new players in this community that was built thanks to all of you. While we can thank the administration team and the developers for their daily work, I would first like to thank the players that remained with us since the beginning and that still log in everyday to create more roleplay. Without you I would have lost my motivation a long time ago! As already explained during my livestream (notes available here https://forum.gta.world/en/index.php?/topic/4741-dev-stream-w-nervous-notes-and-vod/) we'll be starting a massive advertisement campaign as soon as GTMP releases their next update. This update will fix your crashes, and I do not want to start the campaign before the crashes are fixed. (I've been beta testing the update for 2 months now and didn't get a single crash). Once this update is released I'll notify you that the advertisement campaign starts, and we can expect that many more players will join us! However, we reached 60 players online yesterday night! Which is incredible and thanks to all of you that talk about GTAW around you! So keep bringing your friends, because your feedbacks about GTAW is what builds most of our playerbase. Multiple features remain to be done for the upcoming updates: The new trucking script, house robbery, the rework of the money & clothing system... We'll be busy for a while! Our next major script after the 1.0 will be the trucking script! Anyway, If you've been reading until there without directly checking about our upcoming features in GTAW 1.0, here is the release date for you: 16/03/2018. Player owned car chopshop & garages Players will now be able to buy garages, and mechanics will have the following ability: Repair vehicles Mod vehicles Change colors of a vehicle Chop a vehicle If a faction member buys or lease a garage, all its faction members will be able to use it as a chop shop. Bringing a stolen car will allow you to receive car parts, that will then have to be given to an industry where a metallurgist will transform it into metal parts. What happens If you bring a stolen vehicle and chops it? It'll be despawned and the owner won't be able to use it for one week. We might improve this later but since GTMP vehicle damages are not well handled, we are going to use this solution for now! Car alarms & locks You can now lockpick vehicles using lockpicks, before hotwiring them! Every vehicles can now be equipped with different kind of locks and alarms. Each lock level will make it harder to unlock the vehicle. As for alarm, the more expensive the better: The alarm will trigger an alarm sound and lights of the vehicle. The amount of lock breaking attempt before the alarm triggers will decrease. The alarm can SMS the owner. The alarm will alert the police. The alarm will send the GPS location of the vehicle to the police. You can install locks and alarms at any player owned garages! New player owned business: Factories New job: Metallurgist Two industries will now be available for sale ! Metallurgist will be able to use the industry in order to craft the following items: Metal parts - 2x car parts 10 refined iron Lockpicks - 1x metal part & 10 refined copper Knuckle Dusters - 2x metal part & 10 refined copper Switch blade - 3x metal part & 10 refined iron More items will be able later to industries depending of the needs. Metal parts are going to be very important as they are now the main component for weapons used in official faction's warehouses. All refined ores will now have to be sold to the factories, which will not be able to craft anything without a regular supply of ores. A full chain of supply will now be required by official factions: car thieves, miners, mechanics, illegal garage, a metallurgist & an industry, and transports for all these resources. The goal is to promote roleplay by pushing more interactions between legal players, illegal players and factions! New job system Unemployment center Two unemployment centers will open in the city! One at the Los Santos Airport and one in the downtown area. These offices will allow players to get information regarding jobs and key locations to get recruited. We're also introducing main jobs, which will be linked to your character and you will not be able to freely switch from a main job to another: Police officer (restricted) Paramedic (restricted) Journalist (restricted) Taxi driver Mechanic Metallurgist Side jobs will remain available for everyone without any restriction: Miner Fisherman Courier job Garbage man Component delivery driver The taxi drivers and mechanics will now have a new hotline line: 912 for mechanics and 777 for taxi. Even If you're not in your vehicle you will receive messages on the hotline. A mechanic area will also be added in order to be recruited, and to buy your own towtruck. Pressing X in your towtruck will allow you to flip and repair vehicles. You'll also be required to fix vehicles, change paint colors and mods at garages, or to chop vehicles! Improved legal business More legal businesses will be up for sale, including: Clothing stores Ammunations Gas stations Garages Barbershop Tattoo parlors Plastic surgeons Factories The goal is to motivate players in taking care of these businesses and add more roleplay in their daily life, legal or illegal. Money will also be given by the government to all restaurants, nightclubs, bars based on your entrances! The goal of this will be to allow owners to recruit more legal players and pay them well for each openings. You'll directly receive the money at each opening in your business bank account automatically, depending of the size of the opening. Oh, we also increased outfit slots to 20! Improved drug plants script The /feed command will now directly feed all the plants around you in a 15 meters radius. You may also receive seeds (50% chance) when picking up the marijuana.

  5. The O'Leary Mob It started on a boat Darragh O'Leary boarded a boat to Liberty City on March 15th, 1864. On the boat were petty criminals and starving families. Darragh formed a small group to protect the families aboard the ship from the criminals that were also on board, ensuring no one was robbed or assaulted. When the boat landed in Liberty City, Darragh used his new found influence to continue protecting the Irish community. Soon Darragh began carrying out crimes with his gang from extortion to armed robbery. When Darragh passed away the organisation was taken over by either his next of kin or the most influential member. Throughout the early 20's, the O'Leary's struggled to keep up with other mobs in the city and slowly dwindled down into a small street gang made up of those who were still faithful to the O'Leary name. As time went forward the O'Leary's would become stronger only to be weak again over another course of time. A change was needed, a new structure needed to come into play for the O'Leary's to survive. Back On Top As the 70's rolled in the O'Leary's were back in business, dealing drugs and weaponry throughout Liberty City. The O'Leary mob operated out of Algonquin, using it's many back alleys and bars as spots for them to pull off their shady deals and operations. The O'Leary's paid off local police and officials to keep themselves under the radar from the FIB. Jimmy "Crooky" Dunn was leading the O'Leary's into a new line of business. Current Times The O'Leary Mob now operating comfortably from Algonquin seek to expand out to Los Santos by reaching out to one of their old assets. The O'Leary Mob now begins to stem it's way into Los Santos, looking to acquire the same influence and power as it does in Liberty City. 10. Name: Mara Comment: Thanks for the feedback, we're glad you enjoyed the article! Unfortunately the group had disbanded by the time we got back to the scene but we were able to confirm the charges with the arresting officer and that nobody was hurt. Sometimes we have to make do with what's available to us!

  12. Los Santos Sweetheart gets locked up There's nothing new about Charlie drinking on the job.. During her shift at the Vault some boys bought her a couple shots of Vodka. After work a new love interest in her life decided to take her out.. They have a couple drinks, eat at Smokie's steak house, go for a drive around the country side. Due to his work their date night gets cut short and she is dropped off at home. She decides to go on a late night drive to kill some time until he finishes. Great no problem, right? Well here's the problem.. Charlie lately has been going through some internal struggles. Not thinking she is pretty enough for love, anxiety from Frankie vanishing and most likely being dead, and such.. She's not been sleeping much theses days, she's been starving herself, and replacing most of her meals with LTD coffee and cigarettes. So as Charlie is on her drive, she gets pulled over by a female officer and the officer she encountered before, Streets. Due to there being little to nothing beside booze in her body she blew above the alcohol limit during the breathalyzer. Streets had no choice but to arrest her, rules are rules.. Right? They talked the entire ride to the station, he truly showed he was worried about her. He stayed chatting with her throughout most of the night of her arrest and even offering his food to her due to noticing her malnourished appearance. Our little Charlie spent the night in prison and is now 3 months without a license.
