  3. Oh yes that too. I was making this mistake for a long time. Pick your fav club or a bar instead of pub crawl. People will notice you.
  4. Factions are definitely the way to go. You become friends with people by doing the same thing that they're doing and being in the same place as them, do that once or twice and you familiarize yourself with them and suddenly starts forming a connection whether you mean to or not. Try to frequent the same area or locations more than once and say hi to the same people, ask questions and seem interested, you might be surprised to find they do the same to you in return. After all though this is GTA and there are lots of "tryhards" as you said, so you're gonna have to weed through those. Good luck!
  5. I'll take your word on FB. I'll open one up. See if I can ATLEAST get something there. But all these tips give me hope to at least enjoy the game slightly.

  7. Well easiest way to start is faction roleplay. Just pick a concept and look for a faction. Some of my chars had similar issue. No friends and all that, but sometimes you get lucky. Pick a group of interest. Like racing or local goth / punk scene, clubs or bars are not really good place to start, but sometimes it's easier. Also themed bars are good place too. Use FB, basic rule, socialize 🙂 people are more welcoming than you's think.
  8. The thing is HOW do you look for people with similar interests? See what I mean? There's no way to look for someone that has similar interests. There needs to be a rule about just hanging out with people you know ALL DAY because that doesn't give other players the chance to at least widen their circle because there's nobody that's in the same boat. Like I DONT hate GTAW I just hate the fact I have to sweat or tryhard to somewhat make connections and atleast have a solid RP circle with other folks.
  9. Train to evade is actually mooooore fun, more cinematic too.
  10. +1 from me, always found it very unrealistic. Same with swimming away in the ocean.
  11. Well bubble rp it is called. It is actually frowned upon in general rp community, but GTA rp always been a special case about it. Depends on what you would wanna rp. Look for people with similar interests.
