  3. "0386 SwAng gAng" The Avalon Gangster Crips are an active African-American street gang located on the East Side of South Los Santos. They were established in the early 1970s, by Jimel Barnes also known as The GodFather Of Crips, a former member of the East Side Crips along with a couple of friends, who lived in the Avalon Gardens Housing Projects. The Avalon Garden Crips originated after Raymond Washington, leader of the East Side Crips was incarcerated in prison on a murder charge in 1974. The 88th Avalon Garden Crips were the first sub-set of the Avalon Gangster Crips. The Avalon Garden Projects is located on 88th Place, between Avalon Blvd and Central Ave. The Avalon Crips consist of four sub-sets 116/88/53/40s Avalon Crips and they fall under the Gangster Crips (3x) umbrella. The 53 Avalon Gangster Crips also known as the 5-Tray Avalon Gangster Crips, are an predominately African-American street gang operating on the East Side of South Los Santos. The 53 Avalon Gangster Crips are the second largest sub-set of the Avalon Gangster Crips. The 53rd Avalon Gangster Crips are allies of all subsets of the Avalon Gangster Crips. War with the 43 Gangster Crips. In the 1970's 43 Avalon and 53 Avalon had a good relationship with each other. They would even hang and chill together at one another's park within their neighborhoods. Unfortunately this alliance came to an end after the first small crip on crip war began between the 52 Broadway Gangster Crips and the 43 Avalons. Although many people believe that the first crip on crip war was between the Rollin 60's Neighborhood Crips and the 83 Gangster Crips, the war between 52BGC and 43 Avalon happened 5 months prior to the 60's and 83 war. At a football game the 4-Trays killed a notable member from 52 Broadway, and their war started then. Whenever the 4-Treys went to 53 Avalon's park to hang with them, the 52 Broadway members would jump and beat the 4-trey members. Around this time 52 Broadway was stronger than the 4-Treys and outnumbered them drastically. The 53 Avalon members decided to stay out the mix, and wouldn't help the 4-Treys. Many older members of the 53 Avalons didn't know why they didn't help the 4-Treys, they just followed their older members lead and stayed out of the beef. Thus making the 4-Trey members question themselves on why they were claiming 4-Trey Avalon and as time went on they officially dropped the Avalon moniker, they went through many years of deciding different monikers such as "43 Coast, 43 Ghost Town, 43 San Pedro Gangster Crips, and even 43 Playboys." Eventually they just went by the 43 Gangster Crips or the 4-Trey Gangster Crips. During the early 1980s, the Four Trays inspired the Third World drug organization, and were heavily involved drug trafficking when the rock cocaine hit the streets in 1982 and 1983. They were originally a car club influenced by Bertrain Jackson before they transitioned into cocaine dealing. Thus was one of the 3 main drug organizations that formed around the time, the other two being the "Ozone" and the other being "Whitey Enterprise." 53 Avalon however, never inherited their own drug organization. Most of their members would just go be apart of one of the three that was already getting money. This formation of the three organizations caused a lot of bloodshed due to one another selling in each other's territory and stealing money. The Ozone was filled with members from the 53 Avalons, eventually causing them to flip from a drug business to the street gang 40 Avalon. Once the "Third World" clique member count began to increase, they easily became a very a strong gang, due to their influx of money and money brought power and respect. Once 4-Trey's members count increased they started the attempt to expand their turf into 53 Avalon's hood, at the time 4-Trey were questioning themselves because although their hood was revolved around the 40's area their territory didn't include 46th St, 47th St, 48th St, or 49th St all of these belonged to the 53 Avalons. The 43 Gangster Crips decided to take action and began infiltrating the 53 Avalon's territory, starting a lot of little fist fights with one another. As time progressed the 4-Treys began crossing out "5" in "53" but left the "3", therefore the Avalons did the same but with the "4" in "43." The tensions continued to rise and the first killing began when a member from 53 Avalon killed a member from 43 Gangster Crips. On June 6th, 1991 a member from 43 Gangster Crips named Tiny and a female named Latanya were spotted leaving Tiny’s house which was located in the heart and soul of 4-Trey's turf. As they were walking to the car, a car pulled up on the duo and 2 males bounced out shooting at Tiny. Tiny was killed with bullet wounds to the head, one of the shooters yelled “Get the girl too!” They chased after Latanya and shot her multiple times in the wrist, arm, and back. Ever since this day the 43 Gangster Crips and the 53 Avalons have been bitter rivals, with no sign of it slowing down. The war between East Coast and Avalon started when 62 East Coast Crips members killed 88 Avalon Gangster Crips members named "Snake" during an argument over a girl. Although the killing wasn't over gang violence, once they killed a member from 88 Avalon they started a issue with the rest of the Avalon Gangster Crips. The 4-Trays and the East Coast were real close, thus causing the Avalons to bump heads with the East Coast Crips as well. Eventually they got sick of it and decided to put some blood on this rivalry and the killing between Avalon and East Coast just went back and forth. Around the 90's the alliance "A's and Ways" was formed due to 53 Avalon and 52 Broadway becoming real close you would even see or hear "ABGC." They later added the 87 Kitchen Crips to this alliance making it "A's, Ways, and K's." All of this was after they realized they had a shared hatred for the East Coast Crips. "This SwAng gAng!" The 53 Avalon Gangster Crips can be spotted hanging on the Eastside of Rancho, anywhere around 46th to 58th St between Carson Avenue and Innocence Blvd. The young Avalon members can be seen participating in numerous activities consisting of robbery, extortion, burglary, and drug trafficking around their neighborhood to keep up with the lavish lifestyle they portray to live on social media. Nowadays, gangs run rampant violently killing each other for money, women, and even social media beef. Many of today's youths lack respect and care for other people’s property. Avalons obsession with money and crime can be traced back to the O.G. days and was always known in the community but there was never enough of it. In 2017, Juwaan Banks was one of the first affiliated Avalon members to introduce methods to create internet money. When he introduced this new method of money making, he was only 17. Spending hours everyday on the internet racking in tens of thousands of dollars every week to fund the gang's various needs. In 2020, Juwaan and a group of teenagers affiliated with the Avalons were arrested and charged with various charges such as Fraud and Identity Theft. He’s currently sitting in Davis County Jail awaiting his trial. Even though Juwaan, the hood's mastermind of fraud was arrested, he is still connected with the younger affiliates giving them constant insight on new methods and tricks to create more money from within prison. Affiliate members of the 53 Avalons Gangster Crips are to this day still heavily induced in the life of credit card scamming and credit card fraud adding to the extensive list of illegal activities the gang participates in to create a sustainable income. The 53 Avalon Gangster Crips are very active inside the streets and on social media. They have been seen dissing their enemies on social media, making drug deals through social sites and showing lethal weapons on the same apps. A member from 53 AGC caught an enemy from 48 Gangster Crip and recorded him for turning down a one on one fight and posted it to his social media platform. This war between the two has been going on for decades due to the fact that the 48 Gangster Crips are allies with the 43 Gangster Crips and there is no lead of slowing down the two from harming each other as the younger generation of 53 AGC members are always taking over and pushing what their older homies from the set once pushed when they were younger. Such as the term "Swangin" many gangs under the Gangster Crip card use the phrase "Movin" but due to Avalon not being the same as other Gangster Crip gangs, and also having beef with other Gangster Crips they started their own phrase "Swangin." You will notice many younger members using this phrase on social media, showing their affiliation with any of the main Avalon gangs. The rivalry between 53 Avalon Gangster Crips and gangs under the "2x Card" goes back to the 80's. 53 Avalon used to get along with Main Street Mafia Crip due to them having a lot of family in one another gang but, once Main Street and Hoover began to grow a rivalry the Avalon gangs took a step back from the Main Street Crips due to them showing their alliance with Neighborhood gangs which mostly fell under the "2x Card." This caused Avalon and Hoover to grow an alliance, which is stronger now then it was back then. You can even spot 53 Avalon and 83 Hoover in a video dissing the 43 Gangster Crips together. Although 43 Gangster Crips are "Gangster Crips" and technically under the "3x Card", they share an alliance with gangs under the "2x Card" this alliance being the "Movin' Coast 2 Coast Alliance." This alliance included gangs like 4238 Gangster Crips, (42 Gangster Crips, 43 Gangster Crips, and 48 Gangster Crips) various different East Coast Neighborhood Crips, more Gangster Crips, and even Hustler Crips. Thus also being an addition to why 53 Avalon refuses to use the phrase "Movin." You can also spot Avalon using phrases like "VSOPK" on social media to show their hatred towards the Villain, Swans, Outlaw, and Piru alliance (V.S.O.P). Although the 53 Avalon Gangster Crips due have a hatred for a lot of the blood gangs, they due have an alliance with the 52 Pueblos due to their shared hatred for the Bloodstone Villains.
