You know how to operate Menyoos?

It really depends on what character you're portraying as well. Which crowd you genuinely participate with and thus forth. I know somebody mentioned FB, try it; but I do have to mention that if you do take this route, you'll have to pick up learning how to do Menyoos if you want good quality pictures for your character on social media (its not really needed though)

Well, that's how it be. For better or for worse, your P1 phase is sort of meant to be a hassle as a means to make sure those who endure it are the people who actually want to be there. I don't know when the last time was you were in it, but I know as it is now, the current field training team often goes to great lengths to accomodate people. The only people who really get the shit end of the stick are the australians or those in +12 ish timezones. Everybody unanimously agreed, being a P1 sucks, but there's always ways around it to make it fun. As for the being ignored part, you're coming into a group of people who mostly all know eachother for an extended period already. You're the new guy, you're supposed to be the one making contact, showing initiative, putting yourself out there. You've got something to prove, they don't 😛 That's the gist of it. Getting to know a few P2's and rolling with them during times FTO's arent around is a good start, being on good terms with other P1's also helps. But it comes down to just, surviving untill the bell rings & you get bumped up to P2. When you get the liberty to do what you want.

Everybody needs a break from the game for awhile. I myself have been taking a break and going to play other games or just doing other activities, while still playing GTAW in shorter time quantities. You just have to find your middle ground to finding out what you personally want to do. But also trying to interact with others as well and not waiting for people to come interact with you.

I was a PO1 I had some issues with people in the faction as well OOCLY, that might also be a factor. Not to mention. I don't log in and wait. I actively LOOK but everyone is busy whispering like they have codes to the USA's Nuke storage in groups.. I get ignored despite using /to and its just overly frustrating. People often stick to their clique... just because they know them on a personal level. And I was inactive because I had a new work schedule that didn't line up with FTO's that were always on at the time.

love the idea! it's always nice seeing homeless characters around, it really brings out the city-feels together, making it a lot more immersive IMO! i hope this works well for you guys 🙂

LSPD's a big faction, 220 ish people give or take. You aren't gonna be friends with all of em. Just how it be. You'll have assholes everywhere you go. If you joined it, and then got terminated for inactivity then that tells me you joined, and then lacked the motivation to forge ahead with it. Were you on probation when you got booted? Or did you manage to get past that and get bumped up to P2? There's a big, big difference. If you got booted as a P1 for inactivity, then you've experienced maybe 1/4th of the totality the faction has to offer, and you never experienced the freedom to actually roleplay the way you want to without having someone tailing you around with a clipboard, recording your every move. Reinstate, hit P2, find an area of police RP that tickles your pickle and off you go. Or do what you suggested next, find an avenue of crim RP you enjoy, wether that's OC, or street gangs, racist baldies, crotch massager clubs, you name it. Seems to me your lack of motivation stems from not being able to find something you actually like doing, cause logging in and waiting for stuff to come to you is something someone does when he or she has zero ambition. Find something you'd like to do yourself, and do it.

I like to just develop on my own when the server is dead-ish, even if it just means doing nothing much. Even RPing checking up on your car can be good for future interactions - you've got something to RP around from what you did earlier. Go to open places, even if it's just a 24/7, still something. If you really feel burnt out, make a new character and do something you've never done before. That's how I got into legal RP after 4000+hrs of illegal RP over 10 years.

To OP I actually understand what you are saying. My advice would be to join a smaller faction with a unique and interesting character. The rest is confidence really. My latest character talks to anyone, and tends to be able to build connections. Going to the same bar or business when it is open, is always a great way to get people familiar with you character. But also you need to be patient. Connections rarely just happen, they need to be nurtured over time. Just stick with it you will get there. When you are building connections I tend to ask an open question, make two statements agreeing with them and then ask another to keep the conversation going. Best of luck pal

also, regarding your factions. you should try illegal faction RP. the illegal aspect of GTAW is really really fun and interesting, in my opinion, no online game has done it better, however.. it does have it flaws and definetly needs improvement. i'd recommend, the illegal aspect. or, do both, a criminal aspect and a legal aspect at the same time, im currently RPing as a criminal, using the front of me being a pro boxer. 😄 and another thing, dont be afraid to ask someone oocly via a forum pm if you can join their faction, ive done this before and ive always been welcome with open arms. glhf

try doing a gtaw detox. just like a social media detox. even a small detox can help u enjoy the game better. start by taking a 2 day break, maybe even a week break from gtaw, then come back. im sure youll enjoy it. another thing regarding this; set a time limit. dont spend all your days driving around. Maybe log on for an hour at 12 O'Clock, and if nothing is happening? Log off. Try again at 3 O'Clock. If something is happening? Go ahead and RP. I made a lil rule for myself that i won't be on gtaw past 9 PM because then that just gets boring and thats how you get burnt out
